Purchased Groupon tickets. I took my teen son and granddaughter saw Wicked-2. Movie was great. 2 hr and 17 mins. Our first time at this theater. Plenty of snacks and food. We chose popcorn and drinks. Pricey, but everything is. Always look for discount tickets on Groupon. You will save some money. I did upgrade for an extra $10.50 (1 adult and 2 kids) for 3D, this was separate from the Groupon tickets. Friendly employees. Concession area needs to be monitored better. Only two cashiers to assist with the rush of people, but overall a good experience. No issues. read more

I visit this theater for every new movie I want to see. I took a peak at the reviews and was very surprised to see the low ratings! Of course the refreshments are a bit pricey, but that is the case with every movie theater!! They have to make money somehow. I also see a lot of people complaining about previews before the movie but that's always been around! All of the staff is really kind and helpful and at the end of the day that's the big thing that's going to differ from theater to theater. Possibly the worst movie theater I've ever been to. No wonder people don't want to see movies at theaters. Over the summer I visited and suffered through no air conditioning to watch a movie. I came here over thanksgiving weekend and no one was working. I waited so long to get my preordered tickets I almost missed the movie start time. They refused to sell concessions because the line to get your preordered tickets was out the door. Lastly the men's bathrooms were so dirty the entire room smelled like a urinal cake and the floors were very sticky. Review update. 1:30 pm 11/30/2024. Wicked Movie was suppose to start at 1:15 and it's 1:30. Screen has been blank for the 25 mins I've been waiting. Update 1:41. They finally started the movie and put the wrong one on! read more

We waited 25 minutes for our movie to start due to the many forced commercials before the movie - and I'm not just talking about trailers for other movies! The movie was listed to start at 6:45 pm and didn't start until 7:10 pm. That is a LONG time to wait, especially for a kids movie like "Wild Robot" ! The food prices were also horribly overpriced. Wow it's been a while since I've been to the movies and oh how did I miss it! So we came to the first show of the day and I believe it was at a discounted rate I'm not sure because I don't go to the movies much but either way it wasn't too expensive to see it on the big screen! You so know that I had to get some popcorn which was also very yummy and just the way it should be at the theater! It also was kinda cool to see they have a serve yourself drink area too complete with Coke Free-Style machines as you can't ever go wrong with those! Our auditorium was a good size the seats were comfortable the area was clean and the movie and the sound were awesome! Overall this was an awesome experience and a great way to avoid the heat that was this given day who knows when I'll get to the theater again but I will say it was a good time that's been long overdue! read more

Theater 12 had no air conditioning!!! You could feel it as soon as you walked in. It smelled so musty and like body odor as well. Floors were sticky, seats were narrow, no assigned seating and very old "recliner" chairs which basically were normal chairs that rocked... No one was checking tickets or bags. Possibly the worst movie theater I've ever been to. If anyone has recommendations for a newer theater with power recliners and air conditioning, please let me know. I went here recently to see Oppenheimer, which is a great movie! I brought popcorn and a drink, both were very good! My husband and I went to see Free Guy at this theater. We scanned our tickets from my phone and ordered a flatbread pizza with pepperoni, a medium popcorn, and curly fries. The theater for the most part was clean and there were only two other people in the theater with us. So today we decided too see the 1989 30th anniversary movie GLORY a movie about the American Civil War's 54th Massachusetts color regiment. The theater was clean a little on the pricey side but well worth it. My friend and I went to the theatre for Valentines Day. I had an email for a $20 special, but when I got to the theatre I was told by Aiden that was for another theatre. I asked if there were any specials and showed him my Clubb card. He said no. I told him I had a bucket but it was 2021 so we threw it away. He said we had to have a 2022 bucket, and that his Number 1 was the best deal. Nothing on board telling you the specials. so I believed him. He brought me a bag of popcorn. I told him I was interested in a bucket. He stared at me like he was on something, then said You told me number one. I said can I upgrade and he said no. SO then during the ads in the theatre, it says my card give me an upgrade. SO why did I but the card if I can't use it for anything. read more

Decent first time experience. Came for a night showing, almost drove by because the outside was not lit. Couldn't tell if the place was open and still in business. Not a great first impression. Ticket counter was quick and easy. Concessions were a bit slow, we were the only folks in line and there were about 4-5 staff members on the other side chatting. Once one did come over, service was quick. Once inside, stadium seatings with seats that rock back...not recline. This is a tad better than the traditional fixed seats, but it seems most of the seats need to be swapped out, fixed, or even just oiled to prevent the squeaking. All in all, decent experience with what seemed like higher than "average" concession prices. May come back again if they are the only ones close by playing a movie I want to see. read more

I came here to watch star wars. Though it is overall an ok small town theater, you may feel a tad let down when watching epic movies such as Starwars or Avatar. MOVIE: I watched the force awakens in 3D EXPERIENCE: Slightly uncomfortable. The chairs didn't lean very much and were narrow. I'm 5'6 and 150lbs. The aisle lights were a bit too bright for such a tiny theater. When the showing started, it took away from the viewing in my perifieral vision. The door leading out to the lobby was not at a steep angle. Every time someone left the theater, light hit 8 feet of the bottom right of the screen. CONSESSIONS: The popcorn was cold and didn't have that "fresh movie theater popcorn" taste. I noticed dozens of pre stuffed bags in the back. I would have been better off buying prepackaged popcorn and bringing it in. Much cheaper. CLEANLINESS: The lobbies had popcorn kernels on the red carpet everywhere. Bathroom was, public. Nothing unusual. Theater bathrooms in general aren't exceptionally clean. SERVICE: Service was friendly, and overall for a small city/big town it was an acceptable theater. For someone like me who has done IMAX, DBOX, and CineBistros, this experience fell slightly short. read more

Do not go to AMC Classic Camp Hill 12!!!!! They do not have soda machines that work. All you can get is water, lemonade, or ice tea. The ice tea will just be tea because there ac is broken. It was cooler outside then in the theater. My wife's Reece's pieces melted because it was so hot. There were no warnings on the front door about the ac being broke or the vending machines not working. When I went to look for a manager there was none to be found and the attendees walked away or didn't acknowledge that I needed help! Worst Theater ever!!!! Don't go!!! read more

I miss the not so old days of Cinema Center. Gotta give the AMC a 2 star review. This place is dirty. When it was Cinema Center it was much better as another reviewer pointed out. Last time we went was an off night - a Tuesday & there was used tissues in the drink holders of both our seats. I can kinda expect this on a weekend booking, but really gross (anytime) but for a Tuesday?! This is really not what you want to experience when you put a drink or your hand down. AMC has not kept up with the lobby either. Most everything is self serve and worn & dirty. As mentioned there are a few kids who sell tickets, popcorn & soda but all in one spot. It makes it aggravating and slow especially if you purchased your tickets in advance. Online purchases should get a separate queue. I've never seen an "advanced ticket queue" or "online tickets" queue. This place has a lot to improve. AMC absolutely made this worse, not better. read more

It can't be that difficult to keep it clean and odor free, or at least have the aroma of buttered popcorn. I hope they can correct this. It's usually a great place with a great price. read more

As far as movie theatres go, this is fine. Big screen, loud sound, comfortable enough stadium seating. 2 stars because we arrived and saw signs that the box office was closed and we needed to purchase tickets at the concessions stand. We waited 15 minutes while 3 cashiers served 20 people. We were "cut" by premiere members and 3 workers stood behind the cashiers doing nothing because very few wanted to purchase food-- they were advertising adding a second XL drink (retail price $6.19) for ONLY $6.19, of all the absurd things. These improvements are clearly a ploy to pay employees less for doing more while also extracting more money from theater-goers. Poor taste, AMC. I will go elsewhere next time. read more

Went on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Seats terrible. Speakers in my TV are better than their theatre's speakers. Mens bathroom toilet was overflowed onto ground and they just stuck a wet floor sign up and called it a day. Family bathroom floor was covered in urine and toilet paper. Cinema Center's matinee price was 6.50 per ticket for the latest showing of the Coen Brothers 2010's film True Grit. Versus a standard rate of 9.25 for an evening film. The theatre is pretty large, and there are reclining chairs, which is cool. A big negative is no student discount and insanely expensive prices in their food court, or "robbery court" as I like to call it. Decent size video game room for the kids. read more

Jagemesh!!! Friday night some of my friends decided that we should see Borat at the Cinema Center in Camp Hill because it was closer to them than Regal in Harrisburg. I, happy to finally see Borat, obliged and made the 12 mile drive to Camp Hill from Linglestown. I was disappointed at the ticket counter that they didn't have a student rate (That's right, it'll cost 8$ at Cinema Center for students, as opposed to the discounted 7$ rate at Regal). Since it was only a dollar, I brushed it off and set forth on my quest to see BORAT! We sat in the back, as there were a lot of us, and not many seats together. The screen was big, as I could still see well. Then I realised - when did they start playing TV-like commercials before movies? And why don't people complain? We have WAY too many commercials here in the US! I happily ate my skittles that I brought in (PS they don't check your bags so bring candy if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg) and watched the same commercials 890 times until the movie started. They were a bit slow to turn off the lights at the beginning, but I ignored, it because I was watching BORAT! About 25 minutes into the movie, the lights flashed, and we were told to evacuate because there was a fire somewhere. After standing outside in the cold for 20 minutes, we were finally told that we could either wait, or the attendants would sign our tickets and we could come back for a refund later. Too little too late? They should have had passes or something. Come back for a refund, damn. My ticket is signed, but I haven't gone back yet, and they better not give me a hard time when I do. The theater itself is nice, but their service sucks and I'm pretty pissed that I only got to see the first 25 minutes of Borat cuz some jerk probably burnt the popcorn. (that no one buys anyway because it's like 39048093$) Not to mention, that missing this movie cause me serious emotional distress (I cried in my car for 10 minutes), and I intend to sue for damages (this being a tort, of which intention does not need to be shown) read more

Went yesterday (2/20/22) to.see "Dog", which was very good. (Recommend it), but the teenager at the concession stand (Imane?) was very rude, she didn't know what she was doing, proceeded to overcharge me, and gave me attitude. Last tike I was there, the movie + popcorn and a drink was around $15, for a matinee, but yesterday, it was over $20, also for a matinee. Half of the seats in theater #12 were broken, too. AMC needs a huge overhaul. Movie was very good though. 2 stars for it. And if the movie is advertised to start at a certain time, it needs to start at that time, not 30-45 minutes later! read more

While I prefer the movie theatre attached to the Harrisburg Mall (who doesn't love being able to put their armrests up so they can be more comfortable?), this one is closer to me so it gets an advantage in that aspect. What confuses me about this place is when they decide to show multiple films in one theatre, such as Theatre 1 showing "ABC" film at 1, 4, and 7 PM while "XYZ" film will be at 2:30 and 5:30. The sign hanging from Theatre 1 will show one of those films but won't show the other. I can't tell you how many times I've walked past one of the theatres on my way to the one where my film is and I see confused patrons looking anxiously at their stubs and then up at the sign because it has the other movie listed that is showing in that area. The only thing I can suggest for this theatre is that if you find yourself in this situation, find someone who works there to confirm that you are going to the right spot. read more

The overall experience was ok. Not the best theater but not the worst. The staff was friendly as could be. The theater seems outdated. No AC in some theaters and a really strong smell in other. For an "Imax" movie, the sound was extremely low quietly. You could a baby fart of how low the sound was. Am I coming back? Checked in on 1/1/2016. Rating: 3.5 stars! It's a good theater, not the best. Could it be better, yes! I watched StarWars in Audi 12. Very big auditorium. Stadium style seating, so the number of people did not bother me. What did bother me was the lights on the side walls which they do not switch off during the movie. Those lights are dimmed when the movie starts, but still they are very distracting. I took off one star for that reason. I took off another half star because the audio could be better. Maybe the theater was too big, but again when you go to watch movies, the audio is part of the entire experience. read more

This movie theater is not the nicest on the inside but it is always less crowded that other theaters. The chairs aren't as comfortable as a nearby theater. The popcorn was good and the self service beverage station worked like a charm. The theater is not the cleanest theater i've been to but the the line and price of the movie $6.75 you can't beat that price on a Sunday. We had a great time seeing a dog's purpose and the service getting our tickets and popcorn was great. We will definitely be back! read more
