Great car museum!! Been there two years in a row. Love that they change the focus every 6 months so every time is different. Place is immaculate and the perfect size museum, not so big that kids get bored. Staff are all volunteer and are so sweet and willing to answer any questions. Gift shop is reasonable priced and well stocked. Also though the price point is very fair for all that you get to enjoy.

DONATING? a) just make sure you indicate that you want distilled water placed in the battery and not bottled water in your donated vehicle. b) that the mechanics use appropriate manuals and not go by memory. c) confirm with the museum that they will take appropriate care of items they purchase (see photo) LOANING a vehicle? a) make sure you document any damage (chips, dents, scratches, rubs, etc.) b) confirm that your battery will be connected properly, so that the terminals are not reversed and damages the battery or the vehicle electrical components. VOLUNTEERING? a) don't think you can help as a mechanic, unless you are accepted by the group, no matter what your mechanical ability b) for sure don't ask any questions (should we be using a manual? Isn't there a special tool for that? doesn't a seal go there?, should I be straightening up the barriers?) they will think you don't know or are telling them what to do note: I worked as a volunteer from January through April, detailing cars, general cleaning, picking up trash around the facility, moving cars, and helping/supporting work on cars.

Very cool car museum. Love their collection. There is even a bus from the 90's movie Speed and Forrest Gump. You can spend hours here. It's a fun museum. Highly recommended especially if you are an automotive enthusiast.

Pretty hard to top Arlene M's excellent review from a few months ago so, hell, I'm not even going to try. Overall fantastic collection of cars, lots of buses, model train display, motor cycles that stretches three floors and should take you a minimum of two hours to do it right. All needed info is here: www.aacamuseum.org/visit/ and here www.aacamuseum.org/museum-exhibit-floor-plan-map/ Fantastic non-Hershey thing to do in Hershey that shouldn't be missed.

This was possibly one of the highlight of my sons vacation in Hershey. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly, sharing all the stories of the cars & time periods facts. Fascinating! We were there during the Muscle Car exhibition, specifically Mustang Day. Couldn't have planned it better. The museum is definitely worth the $16 entrance fee! He filled his and my phone with photos. Enough to spend several hours looking and experiencing all the hands on exhibit available

Wow, what a fabulous auto museum. We spent an entire afternoon at the museum and it was incredible. If you are a car enthusiast, this spot is for you. We were there in the middle of the week and there were no crowds at all. They have their own parking lot with plenty of parking. Once inside we were surprised by the extensive car collection filling three floors. When at the museum, if you are an Auto Club member, there is a small discount on your ticket price, just show your card and you are good to go. The Tucker car collection is fascinating, where else can you see 3 original Tucker cars and up close. There is a motorcycle exhibit, and a bus exhibit. Step inside the same bus that was used in Forrest Gump when Jenny boards the bus and gives Forrest the peace sign out the window. The cars are beautiful works of art. I love classic and antique car hood ornaments and so many of the cars hold unique and original hood ornaments. This is truly a wonderful museum, one I consider a must go if you are at all interested in cars. Before you step out after your visit, pop into the small shop, there are some cool items for gifts.

My experience was a little different from an average one, as when I arrived, the Bill Smith Memorial Summer Cruise In was occurring. This place can handle a crowd after seeing the amount of people they had in attendance. The museum is not hard to find, being a short drive from Hersheypark and the Interstate. They have plenty of parking. The ticket desk is located near the main entrance. Due to the event that was occurring, admission was discounted from the normal $14 to $10. The number of cars on display just in the entrance area was a positive start. Museum is three floors that's fully handicap accessible. The first floor contains most of the main car displays, bottom has the bus displays with additional cars, and the top has various display/memorabilia items. Displays are rotated every few months, but the car collection and vehicles on loan are stellar. They also have the correct balance of displays, hands on, and digital interactives that many other museums don't exactly get right. Some of the more interesting exhibits at the time of my visit included a full model train display, which I didn't expect to see here. They have a small 50's diner mock-up you can walk into and look around. Perhaps most notable in the museum, along with being one of the largest, is the Tucker display. It includes Tucker #1, another original Tucker, one of the movie cars, prototype engines, test chassis, a replica of his office, and various design plans. Various two- and three-wheel motorbikes/ATV's also get significant representation. Gift shop was ok, had a decent selection but didn't really stand out. Most museums suggest planning an hour for a visit, with this one you can plan on spending easily two hours here. Staff were friendly and helpful during my visit. Overall, the AACA Museum is absolutely worth a visit and the price of admission.

The AACA Museum was our first stop on our trip to Hershey. Tickets can be purchased online but also at the museum if you wish to avoid the processing fees. Your museum admission entitles you to visit their three floors of interactive exhibits many of which are on loan to them. If you would like to see the permanent exhibition there is a $3.00 add on fee per person and they will drive you the building that houses them. We decided to pass on this trip but definitely check it out on a future trip. Parked outside the building was a 1917 Packard and the Hershey's Kissmobile-always a welcome site when visiting Hershey. They set the theme of each car period with displays of the times such as an early machine shop when you first enter. Along the way you will encounter a 1940s gas station, 1950s drive in movie complete with cars parked in rows facing it, Rt 66 exhibit gallery and the Floinn diner. See the oldest antique vehicle in the first section-it reminds you of a horse drawn carriage but it does have a motor. It is called 1890 Benton Harbor. Friendly docents are on hand to point you to interesting details as you walk through it and answer any questions you may have. I was literally blown away by the DeSoto's, AMC and AMX vehicles, Packard's, Hudson's, and so much more! Although most of the exhibits won't allow you to touch them there are some interactive ones that can give you the "feel" of the vehicle such as getting behind the wheel of a mock up Tucker car. Also on display on this floor is an interesting exhibit relating to maps, different state license plates, a race car, and even the DeLorean from "Back to the future" movies. Be sure to check out the Cammack Tucker gallery which houses the largest display of Tuckers. Downstairs they have the museum of bus transportation. Some of these buses they will allow you to go inside-watch that first step on one of them-it is high!! Buses used in movies such as Forrest Gump's is on display here as well. Be sure to check out the miniature train exhibit housed here. You can "control" various scenes by using the appropriate foot petal designated. There is an exhibit showcasing motorcycles and here you will encounter a "Whip" ride vehicle you can get into for a photo op. Novelty vehicles such as the Coca cola truck, the Oscar Meyer wiener mobile, and one of the 4 "horse" steering vehicles is on display on this floor. You complete your visit by taking the elevator from the ground to the third floor where you will see a moped, an enclosed wall of miniature buses and other fun stuff. Check out the Mickey Mouse school bus housed here along with "the Honeymooners" and the Partridge family bus. There's even a section devoted to Greyhound and Trailways miniature buses. You round out your visit to this floor with cases of various hood ornament-some from Great Britain as well as the US all in shiny mint condition. Allow 90 minutes minimum here. They have a small gift shop on site. Stairs can be long but they have an elevator to take you up and down. During the year they host special events. Located a few miles from Hershey, they have their own parking lot.

What a truly unique museum celebrating transportation from historic antiques to modern motor works (including: cars, buses, motorbikes & mobile diners)! Staff are knowledgeable & helpful. Museum is clean & all vehicles are in pristine condition. We toured during their featured "Muscle Cars" exhibit. Some vehicles are mainstays year-round while others are temporary. It was an affordable ($16/adult) & throughly entertaining afternoon--a must when you visit Hershey, PA!!

This museum has such a beautiful collection of antique cars, carriages, busses, motorbikes, and trucks. This was such a wonderful experience. 3 floors of beautifully taken care of history. It's so amazing to see how automobiles have changed over the years. It's a must see even if you don't really care much for cars.

    Buses!
    Amy F.

I loved it and so did my guys. A bargain compared to other auto museums that we have been to. More vehicles and much larger than any of us anticipated. Immaculately clean! A nice air conditioned way to spend a relaxing few hours. I loved the buses!

    Vin M.

Wonderful attraction if you're into antique cars. From Edsels to Tuckers, Gump bus, Speed bus, Deloreans, mini bikes etc The miniature train room was a smash with my 9 year old! If a fan of classic cars and/or in the area, a must see. Friendly knowledgeable staff plus a great photo opportunity with the Hershey Kiss mobile is right outside. It's right near King Kone creamery, next to Springhill suites by Marriott hotel five minutes from Hersheypark.

The museum is nice but I enjoyed the additional experiences more. The museum cost me $16 and has some cool information about Milton Hershey's life. It has a few historical items, like Hershey's crib and his White Star ticket receipt. There are a few interactive exhibits that I think would keep a kid's attention. It mostly summarizes Hershey's time and his impact in the town he created. If I had limited time I would skip the museum and do the extra activities instead. The drinking chocolate tasting feels like a secret and was so fun! It cost me $13 and it comes with six different drinking chocolates from around the world. It's fun and delicious to try them all! I also did an experience in the Chocolate Lab. It cost $16 (although I got a combo museum- Chocolate Lab ticket for $28). You sit with your group at different tables and wear an apron and a hair net. You make a small chocolate item- we just poured chocolate into a mold and added sprinkles. Then the hosts give a great educational talk about how chocolate is made and answers questions. It's very informative and for the price I thought it was a steal! If you come, I would evaluate all of the options and don't feel like you have to do them all. However, for the prices any of them are a good value.

It's the home that chocolate built. Compared to other wealthy industrialists, such as the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts, High Point, designed by Henry Herr was very modest in size with only 22 rooms and a large front porch. After Catherine's death in 1915, Milton didn't want to have much to do with the place and sold or gave away most all the furnishings, and moved upstairs to three rooms while the house was turned into the clubhouse for the local golf course. The funny thing is that he used to call those three rooms with his porch overlooking the grounds, Atlantic City, so when people would come by looking for him, he had his staff say that he was in Atlantic City. When the Hershey country club was founded in 1930 Milton Hershey donated the house to the club and it remained his primary residence until his death in 1945. Later the house was acquired in 1970 by The Milton Hershey school, then purchased by Hershey Foods for its corporate headquarters in 1977 then years later, purchased by the Hershey Trust Company, which now continues their business at that location. Tour tickets are released on the 15th of every month for the following month and tours are held only on Saturdays. The tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis, so it's best to plan ahead to get your tickets. the tours typically last 60 to 75 minutes and will require a good bit of standing and walking and there is no seating available. The tickets are only sold online and must be purchased at least one day in advance and they are not sold at the mansion. There is a 10 guest maximum per tour and you need to arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour at the bottom of the front porch steps. There is free parking available in the adjoining lot and while walking the grounds and taking as many pictures as you'd like on the grounds is admissible photography is not permitted inside the building. The docent and volunteers that run the program are well-versed and quite knowledgeable in all aspects of Milton, Hershey and his wife, Catherine, along with all the artifacts, original and reproduction furnishings that are located throughout the house. They were able to answer all of our questions, and even gave us some food for thought concerning the building of the house, cost of the house when built and the current structure of the house as it is today. A visit to the mansion is a definite must for anybody that's interested in the history of Milton, Hershey, and how he brought chocolate to the masses.

I learned from one of the volunteers there that individuals would start making the display in October for their opening in mid-November.
