The deli offers a sit down or takeaway service, although on my visit Inma stressed that they mostly offer a takeaway service (this is perhaps because seating is limited to two indoor and an two outdoor tables). The deli has flags and posters of matadors fighting bulls on it's walls and dried meats hanging from its ceiling and a variety of dried pastas stacked on it's shelves. Fresh food include cakes, sandwiches, rolls and hot dishes. On the day I visited 'Inma's bites' - Spanish omelette, meatballs and rice, mixed salad and lasagna were all on the menu -the hot dishes were around the £3-£3.50 mark.

With a good selection of everything you might expect, this is a great place for locals to come for something a little bit more special that what you'll find in Tesco or Spar. The staff here are prompt, but do tend to be a tad abrupt, but not enough to really be considered rude. The shop is clean and tidy, but does not have any particular attention paid to the atmosphere. Good products adorn the shelves, but that's it. While the selection is good, if it's the deli experience you're going for, then perhaps you'd been better trying Shelly's Deli in Pontcanna, or Wally's in the city centre. Go! Eat cheese!

It is also good for food that you want to spend a LITTLE longer on, like jacket potatoes. The prices are quite reasonable in some parts and not quite so brilliant in others. My salad was £3.50 but I had to have a salad because the jacket potatoes (not that big and with fillings that didn't look that great) were £4.50. You do have to search for this deli, because it is a little way down Churchill Way, itself off Queen Street. But do go out of your way to try it. And then head to the bar next door.

The variety is the main draw here - and Wow Deli have just added a new collection of sandwiches including a "Crabdaddy Crab" and "Posh Fish Fingers" to accompany the usual offering of jacket potatoes, curries, salads, quiches and homemade soups. The counter was manned by a trio of hipsters who were slicing and chopping (with gloves on - yes, I notice these things and am extremely grateful) when I walked in. Overall, I found the food to be fresh and delicious, but my Yankee heart belongs to New York Deli; I would definitely go back again because I love anywhere where your sandwiches are made to order. Actually, I'm not sure I'd be in a hurry to come back here because it was so hot inside the shop, I felt the need to bail as soon as I walked in. I'm sure that'll change come autumn, but it was uncomfortable and a bit off-putting as it made me question how the food can withstand such conditions.

I love the shop as well, floor to ceiling glass and brightly lit, Wally's oozes with metropolitan class. You great great service, with lovely staff. On the whole I was quite satisfied and impressed. The store is not as big as the original, nor does it have as much stock. This is for the better though, as it is ascetically pleasing, and I have often felt that the other store packs far too much in. A further difference is that this new store focuses far more on the sweeter things in life. There is a mouthwatering selection of handmade chocolates, a wide variety of old fashioned sweets, and some simply breathtaking gingerbread houses, which are already on my Christmas list for next year. They do sell some of the more savory products (though if that's what your after I'd head for their other store), including a rather nice selection of oils, which are far superior to anything you get in a supermarket. Finally the great thing about this store, is that it really makes a nice change from all the big brand names that dominate St David's 2. It's so nice to see an independent retailer doing so well, and I would truly encourage anyone to check out Wallys.

Unfortunately, when I went they ran out of hoagies so I had to get it in a bagel but it was packed to the BRIM. Although when you look at the prices you might grimace at it seeming expensive, because of the generous portions the prices are well worth it. This is more than just a simple sandwich people!!! 4 stars because the bagel itself was just alright but the fillings were delicious. However, I do have it in my mind that I have to come back and try some of their hoagies. Don't skip over this place! Overstuffing your face is what the good ol' USA is all about!

Walking into the shop is a little like walking onto the set of a children's fantasy film, in the vein of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... it's got that kind of special feel about it. Everything is pristine, with the stainless steel fittings twinkling magically, and the display cabinets brimming with beautifully presented delicacies... it is as much a treat for the eye as it is for the taste buds! The vast majority of what is produced here is sold to commercial clients, including top hotels and restaurants etc... Nevertheless, you can also pop in and buy a slice of the tantalising cheesecake, or the extraordinary chocolate torte, or opt for the amazing chocolate brownies, all individually baked, and gorgeous to look at. Only 15% of the sales at the shop are to the public... something that I find astounding! The prices for these high end confections are incredibly inexpensive, and just visiting the shop is a treat in itself. I don't know how the locals can resist buying a slice of delight a day!
