I didn't want my hair cut but he insisted, didn't put any products on my hair after washing it, and well the pictures speak for themselves regarding the color job. I had asked for heavy highlights all over my head (which I usually get from a different salon) because my roots were growing out. It didn't end well but I did get a refund. Michael looks like a combination of Edward Scissorhands with a waistcoat and some steampunk vibes going on. His energy can be described as lively and friendly and you immediately know, this guy knows what he is doing and he is an artist! He has multiple locations, and I sat in an antique barber chair on the Quarrier St. location. I had wanted a modern shag cut with a specific fringe and had a picture. He knew exactly how to make it happen and watching him cut hair is nothing short of magic! As he made his way around my head, cutting, swishing and thinning, I could tell he was sculpting something good out of something drab. ( He even had me turn my head upside down for him to balance the cut!) I have to mention he has his OWN private label hair products and they smell AMAZING. (I recommend the honey shampoo/conditioner) I couldn't be happier with my hair, and that is no easy feat as I am a picky little brat. Charleston is lucky to have him for those of us who want rock-star hair, or a precision pixie he is the guy! This man is a trained Barber/ Stylist combo, so when you find that, you better not let go. He has trained in London and LA and it shows. His haircuts feel tailored just for you. I left today feeling cute, like Joan Jett mixed with a little Carol Brady.

Used thinning shears on my daughter's hair without permission or transparency. I told them to have him call me after the weekend and holiday even though I was uncomfortable with him calling my personal number from his personal number. He called me less than five minutes later and I explained to him the difference between thinning shears (which can cause damage to the hair if not used by someone who specializes in thinning hair) and blending shears and he told me "Don't tell me how to do my job!" even though he's just the owner and doesn't actually have a cosmetologist license. Horribly rude people, the "cosmetologists" aren't professional and don't know what they're doing. Skip this place.

I want to start off by saying I have been going here for years with the same stylist and my…read moreexperience has always been great. The owner is also very nice. My normal stylist recently reduced her hours however, so I decided to go with a new stylist. This isn't the first time I've done this at Attractions, so I thought it would be fine. For reference, I walked in with a slightly overgrown wolf cut, and specifically requested to just cut it so that my hair would fall just to the bottom of my ears instead of my shoulders. I also specified that I like the weight and volume my hair had and that I just needed to get it cleaned up. I showed my new stylist, Chris, a photo of what my hair looked like the last time I got it cut to really hammer home the point. In that photo, my hair was down to my ears, with full volume and weight intact. Chris proceeded to shave my hair off. What I mean is that, instead of taking off maybe 2 inches to bring it to my bottom ear, he took off 4-5 inches, shaved the entire sides of my head off taking away all the volume and weight I loved, and then gave me, not a wolf cut, but basically a 1-inch version of a 90's middle part. Before showing me the cut, he apologized, and said he got distracted talking and cut it too short. I can't say I haven't been victim to a yapfest or two in my day, but it would take a lot for me to accidentally turn someone into a Walmart Leonardo DiCaprio from 1997. Its just unfortunate to walk in with 4 years worth of hair growth and walk out with none of it when you just wanted a clean up.

I wish I never went and just kept my natural hair instead. stylist also got dye all over my face and did not clean it up. I am stuck with black dye all over my cheeks and I haven't been going to class because it's so embarrassing . I called to issue a complaint and they didn't answer, then they said that the manager would call me back at 7. at 830 he called me back and after I explained the issue to him he said I could just "wipe the dye off with a wipe" and that "the issue is that I just didn't like it". I'm not sure where to go from here because I absolutely hate this hair. pictures provided for proof. in the pictures you can see the dye she left all over my scalp, the dye she left all over my face, then the reference photo vs my hair. my mom has done better job at dying my hair for free. I'm never going to a salon ever again.

The only thing really bumming me out is that they don't have nail drying fans so my nails weren't dry for 3 hours so they're all chipped up. She told me they would dry in 5 minutes :( Other than that it's a nice place...they just need to invest in some better nail drying equipment.
