Outside of those two and the work that they do (which is great, by the way, if any neighboring salons would like top talent, it's them), I have had the absolute two worst haircuts in my entire life from this place. I get it, it's hard to get exactly what a customer wants--even if it isn't the BEST look on the customer, can we atleast have consistent foundational skill being demonstrated? I have no idea what her name is, but this same blonde lady has brutally fucked my hair up twice. I couldn't get in with my regulars because of my own complicated schedule, but still, what in the world. The first time she screwed my hair up, she had abstained from cutting it even at all. Didn't check to see if anything was even, nothing. I went back and she acted like I was a jackass because I came back and argued with me as to whether it was actually crooked or not--I won. Can't really argue a 3 inch difference. Fast forward to today, June 13, 2020, I went in to get a hair cut. I followed all of the procedures required and trusted this woman for some unknown reason. Which I immediately regretted after the numerous rude exchanges we shared before the hair cut. I told her I wanted a skin-fade on the sides and I wanted some length on the top. Instead of that she: Total scalp cut on both sides. Completely uneven cut and uneven buzz cut all the way to the top. Didn't even attempt to check it for even-ness. Didn't even look at my head from the front. My hair looks like a play dough hair experiment gone horribly wrong. Then I was rushed out. The card reader screwed up and said "error receiving" then she proceeded to act like my card was declined. We try again and it went through perfectly. I even tipped her $5.00. That's how much of a glutton for pain I am for this woman I guess. My question is: How can somebody with that much training knowingly fuck somebody's hair up this bad and let me leave the building like this? What am I supposed to do? Pick up my hair and glue it back on to my bald, uneven head? Holy shit.

I asked very specifically for a "stacked bob, jaw length." By the time she was done, I had a…read moremisshapen, frizzy shag that will take two years to grow out. The back is cut into a hot mess of random layers the length of a pixie, while the sides hang down like frizzy cocker spaniel ears (and far below "jaw length," by the way). Because she left my hair frizzy and brittle, I cannot use heat styling to disguise the ugly cut. And there is no way to let another salon "fix" this, because she cut the back so short. I'd have to get a pixie all over (which would be completely incompatible with my facial shape). Thank goodness I didn't have her do my color. There is no telling how disastrous that could have been. I paid for the cut (and even left a modest tip, because she was at least courteous), but I will be calling the corporate office today to let them know about this stylist's incompetence. What if someone went to her just before an important meeting or a job interview? Senior pictures? Or, God forbid, a wedding? Don't bother going here. There is a reason they are a) cheap and b) always able to take walk-ins.

The "stylist" looked at this picture several times before stating the haircut and during the haircut. Needless to say my hair looks nothing close to the picture. I'm currently almost bald. I am just beside myself wondering where and how she got that from the picture I showed her. By the way the picture I showed her had 4 different views of the style. I have already complained to Smartstyle Corporate office. I hate my appearance so much currently I don't even want to leave my home.
