Yeah, he shared his controversial beliefs without being asked which was odd and uncomfortable, but he did the work. Fast forward to 2026, after thinking he had retired then being referred to him by another business, I tried his services again. After he arrived and talked at me for about 20-minutes, I took my dogs for a 40-minute walk while he was to clean a 3'x10.5' area. Upon my return he was packing up his supplies and said he was done. I believe all he did was spray Odoban, scrape his vacuum over the carpet and call it good. The carpet showed no sign of deep cleaning and these few weeks later the smell has returned... Odoban wears off, which explains why he left me with a bottle. Bottom line, Terry talks your ear off, you have a 50/50 chance he'll do the work needed, then has the audacity to charge $200 regardless. Also, he complained about his clients, and complained about Bellingham PD, then before he left he also managed to make derogatory statements about "illegals" driving up from Seattle and stealing his work. A "professional" spraying Odoban on carpet is not cleaning and certainly not worth the $200 he charged. While I prefer to entrust local businesses, I cannot use or recommend this one. I do NOT recommend this business, and I won't try a 3rd time.

I couldn't get anyone at other upholstery shops to call me back. One place that did call back told us it would take 3 to 4 weeks to complete the job. I'm so glad that Jack at Jerome's answered the phone and agreed to take a look at a sample of the old cushions. He sounded friendly and knowledgeable over the phone. When we arrived at the location on Hovander, he wore a mask and a sign posted required us to wear masks as well. We appreciated that. He took the time to explain what they would need to do (materials and labor), the pros and cons of our options, and then helped us pick the fabric for the cushions. He worked up the estimate while we waited. And he ordered the fabric that day. While he originally estimated it would take a week to complete the job, we were amazed to get a call two days later that the chair cushions were ready for pick up! And they are beautiful. We were so impressed with the quality of his work, the friendly service, the fair price, and the fast turnaround. A five-star experience!
