Fox River Brewing company is located right inside the mall which is very convenient. The food is much better than mall food, to say the least. They have tons of seating both outdoors and indoors. They also have bathrooms. Their menu has a large selection with many options. The options range greatly in price. I ended up with the Grains and something salad, which had falafel, mixed greens, cucumber, tomato, and a coconut curry sauce. The falafel had a little kick to it, but I liked it (and I'm not a huge fan of spicy food). The tables have crayons so you can draw on the paper which is fun. This has always been one of my favorite places for over 10 years now. They kinda lost me for awhile when they kept changing the menu. Don't fix it if it isn't broke! Some of the best things they took off the menu and never brought back. They've messed with the quesadillas countless times. Which is my favorite to order. I'll never get over that they got rid of the birthday cupcakes, this used to be a tradition for me and my mom. Once they got rid of so many things we just ended up not coming anymore. Now I barely ever stop by, but I did swing by over the holidays this year and grabbed the quesadillas because I wanted to see if they'd still be my favorite. They were still amazing besides them being full of huge chunks of onions and mushrooms....yuck. This makes them heavy and soggy. Please go back to the old way with chicken and peppers and cheese with southwest sauce on side! But I did have 2 spicy margaritas, although they tasted really good, they weren't served in margarita glass which to me throws off the vibe. Appleton doesn't have a ton of good places to eat. This restaurant is good eats for the area, not necessarily great compared to bigger cities but decent. They have their own beers on tap, about 8-10 you can choose depending on the time of year. For something different, try the blueberry beer. It's a good balanced beer; it is not overly sweet or in your face. I like their fish tacos. Service is pretty good and we are usually seated fairly quickly. Was in Appleton for a high school football game and stopped here beforehand. I had realistic expectations for a mall restaurant but was still wildly disappointed. I ordered a burger. Pretty simple. The meat was such low quality and so gray and slimy that I stopped after one bite. We got the crunchy chicken tenders and there was tons of yellow slime on them from what I'm guessing is a fryer that hasn't been cleaned in years. Even the fries were gross. The server was not great and I can't blame her. It must suck having people constantly unhappy with their food. Adding insult to injury the bill was still $40! This was honestly one of the worst three places I've even eaten at in my life - and that's saying something. Avoid at all costs. I'm sure there are good burgers somewhere in Appleton. First I order a soda I get it and it's flat had zero carbonation I say something to the server and she goes "oh yea we been having issues with it today" like come on. It was a hot day so I wanted to sit inside which I guess was a mistake cause all the other servers were outside so collectively between all the waiting we did waiting for a server and waiting for our food we were there for 2.5 hours then when we get our food the fries were fresh but had zero season which was just a bummer then the burger patty itself was dry and tasteless lacking seasoning itself the only thing that came out right was the beer I ordered AFTER being deliberately served a flat soda. First of all the sever was great. If I had to rate on service alone there would be more stars up. She knew the beers very well. I had a bloody Mary that wasn't that great. My friend and I wanted chicken bruschetta pizza but somehow there was miscommunication and we got the bruschetta chicken. We decided to make the best of it and eat it anyway. The chicken breast was burned on the side facing down. I have a feeling the chef was trying to hide it....lol! The bruschetta had little flavor and the layer of cheese was too thin I thought. It was served on a bed of pesto risotto, which was probably the best part of the dish. Just not good enough to warrant a three star review. I bet the chicken bruschetta pizza might have been better. My wife tasted our sons mac and cheese and liked it so much she wanted to get it next time we came back. Been here a few times and it's a nice casual place to get lunch or a quick beer, especially if you like shopping with a buzz. The set up is nice and for the most part the bartenders and wait staff are friendly, though I've had a few encounters with waiters who seem uninterested in being there. Once we had a waiter who rarely visited the table and was slow to replenish drinks, we also waited over an hour for food in the same visit and when asked if he knew if it might be coming soon he simply gave us a smug look and told us it's busy so yeah it's going to take awhile... which would have been understandable if it were busy, but it wasn't. He offered no assurance to check on the food or apologize for the wait. But the food is good, and this doesn't happen every time. I had Barbacoa braised beef taco which was delicious. It was served with sour cream and salsa along with a side of tortilla chips, unfortunately the chips were not homemade. I came here for lunch and was happy to see the wide variety of beers and food choices. I ordered the "Crabby Patty" (a crab cake sandwich). I'm pretty picky about crab cakes, but Fox River Brewing Co.'s was pretty decent and I'd consider ordering it again if I returned. This also seemed like a pretty kid/family-friendly restaurant considering it being a brewery--the tables are actually covered in paper and each table is stocked with crayons so kids can color and write to their heart's content while waiting for food. Stopped into this brew pub which is attached to the local mall for a snack and a beer. Nice big space with a good beer menu and plenty of pub food options. Staff was very friendly and fast, open kitchen is always a nice touch. Good cheese curds and nice fresh beers on tap. This restaurant typically has a welcoming vibe with servers you can learn a lot from and have fun with but we did not get that this time. I'm in Appleton for business, this restaurant was in easy walking distance from my hotel. And OMG!!! BBQ Pulled pork and Root Beer. Two of my favorite things combined into one amazing sandwich. Root beer added to the BBQ sauce. Brilliant. Also had one of their locally brewed pale ales. Also really good. read more

Good Beer Selection and very nice staff the multiple times I have been there. When I am in town I am sure to grab a pint when I am there.
