I am a first time patient referred by my primary doctor. I have significant heel pain in one foot that is now occurring in the other foot, too. I went to another podiatrist in the area over the summer. That was a huge mistake that left me no better off than had I done nothing at all. My experience with Dr. Fox was completely different. Instead of running like a turnstile at the Metro station like the prior office, Fox Podiatry was pleasantly serene. I was treated so well by Sandra in the reception area compared to the other office which had several assistants who only cared about processing payment and upselling. When I saw Dr. Fox, he was not just pleasant but thorough. He wasn't moving at a frenetic pace like the former podiatrist. He gave me a thorough exam replete with showing me diagrams and the anatomical foot replica. Dr. Fox wanted me to know what was happening with me AND why so I would follow through with the treatment he recommended. It was obvious he had dealt with my situation before and he was confident in what to do about it. When I heard my answers to his questions about my previous podiatrist consultations, I realized just how woefully inadequate they had been including the treatment "plan" I was supposed to follow. Moral of all of this, please make an appointment with Sandra to meet Dr. Fox if you have foot problems. Fox Podiatry has modern equipment (unlike where I went before) and excellent patient care skills. If you are in Silver Spring (or are willing to be) and need foot care, I highly recommend Fox Podiatry. Dr. Fox is an excellent doctor who has been my podiatrist for over 10 years. He and his team (led by the highly professional and exceptional Sandra) have consistently provided superb quality and care to me and others. Upon entering the office, I have observed that patients are greeted with a welcome smile and hello, the office is quiet, clean, and comfortable, and Sandra is there to assist with the administrative and healthcare process - she knows the aspects of the office, medical forms and equipment, and she has a vibrant welcoming personality. Appointments are appropriately spaced, and there is no long waiting times to see the doctor, who typically see patients within a few minutes of their arrival time. Dr. Fox is extremely knowledgeable, listens to my concerns, provides a thorough examination, with effective recommendations and treatments to resolve any medical issue. He is very adept at identifying any problem, explaining the diagnosis and treatment plan, setting expectations, and recommending preventive care, etc. He is patient and has a great personality - he puts you at ease, no pain, and I leave his office with more knowledge and confidence that I made the right choice by choosing him to be my podiatrist. I love Dr Fox and Sandra!!!! They are always able to squeeze me in, or accommodate me if I'm running late!! I have been coming to Dr Fox since I needed toe surgery. He was/is very thorough and is strict in the best way possible. He wants you to do the right things and makes it easy to understand why! He is so very positive and upbeat you don't even feel like you are going to the doctor. Since my toe surgery a few years ago (of which I say was one of the BEST things I have ever done) I ended up getting plantar fasciitis on the other foot. He was able to see me right away, he and Sandra remembered me and made me feel like I was coming to see an old friend. I now live in DC and I am sure there are a bunch of good podiatrist near me but NONE like Dr Fox and his crew!!! Thank you for the friendly and efficient service provided. I was sure I was going to live with my continuous ingrown toe nail that has been going on for years. I've tried a few doctors that have ease the pain, but never solved the problem. From the second I walked in I was greeted and served with exceptional service from the Front Desk Manager. Dr. Fox is fantastic! I went in hoping for advice on what to do about a toe injury that wasn't healing. Not only did he take the time to truly investigate what was going on with my feet (he gave me an entire hour of his undivided attention), it turned out that he knew a ton about the issues caused by a thyroid condition I have and was more helpful answering my questions on that topic than my regular doctor, endocrinologist, and cardiologist have been combined. My visit to Dr. Fox was an exceptional experience. It was my first time there and I was greeted by Sandra who was very friendly and helped my visit run very smoothly. After I checked in, I didn't even have to wait in the waiting room as I was immediately escorted into a room which is definitely something I don't experience too often during doctor visits. I highly recommend this Podiatrist he listened to my complaint and diagnosed my problem and treated me for the same. I was in pain when I injured my foot and I spoke to Sandra and she was able to get me in right away to see the Doctor. Sandra was very pleasant and very professional. Dr Fox has done wonders for me. I am an amputee and he has saved my good leg. He is extremely knowledgeable and kind. He deeply cares for his patients.
