My dermatologist gave me the card for Dr. Assili. When I made an appointment for evaluation for fungus/melanoma, the receptionist assured me that any of the doctors could do that. I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Baek at a time that met with my schedule. I was called to the exam room a few minutes before my appointment time and waited just a few minutes. Dr. Baek was very nice and knowledgeable and took time to explain his decisions and answer my questions and concerns. The office is located next to the Comfort Inn near Frederick Ave and Shady Grove Rd. When exiting Rte 370 to 355 South, stay in the middle lane to cross Shady Grove Rd. A few streets later, you will turn left and come to the free parking lot for the office building. read more

If you don't want to be ensnared in a endless cycle of endless cycle of unexplained bills don't go here. Dr. Asilli is a compassionate and outstanding podiatrist but the doctors/administrators who seem to run his office now are not. I saw wonderful Dr. Asilli for decades and most recently he refurbished my orthotics -- for which I was required to pay up front. Two and a half years later I still receive a bill for the full amount I paid from another doctor in his practice. Whenever I call, the receptionist acknowledges the mixup, politely promises to straighten it out with the billing office and call me back but I never hear from her. The billing office never answers when I try to follow up. My husband, also treated about two years ago by a different doctor, is in a similar endless loop. He had what turned out to be athlete's foot. Regretably, I talked him into seeing Dr. Mizuo, assuring him if he worked with Dr. Asilli he must be good. Dr. Mizuo put him on heavy antibiotics with uncomfortable side effects. They didn't work and he gave him another prescription that turned out to be over-the-counter cream. read more

Have no doubt, Dr. Assili is at the top of his game when it comes to --both-- the medical and surgical aspects of foot ailments and patient care. His chair examining manner is extremely comforting and puts you at ease. He is youngish and has a young son whom you will see pictures of in the examining rooms, along with cheery art pieces. Assili operated me for a bunionectomy under full anesthesia and beforehand had prepped me with excellent notes about his surgical approach and bone plate inserts. You feel as if you are in sure hands because of his knowledgeable and methodical explanations. Afterwards I literally felt no pain, and only took pain killers for two days. His staff are outstanding in terms of fitting me with the correct walking boot and after surgical care. At my two week, post-operative stitch removal ceremony, he took pictures on his cell phone and sent them to me as my phone was out of battery. I get orthotic supportive insoles for my athletic shoes from his office every year (at least 7 years now). The reception staff are outstanding in their manner and at processing details. I really consider going to this office a treat. Dunkin Donuts is located on the first floor of this building, so get your java too. read more

This place is great. It's easy to schedule an appointment, and they always have openings that fit my work schedule. I've been seeing Dr. Serlo for several years now for various foot problems (absurdly high arches that require custom orthotics, and now a budding stress fracture if I'm not careful). I love that this office doesn't cut corners, but only has you go through what needs to be done. When I wasn't sure why my left foot hurt, Dr. Serlo felt around, and then they did an X-Ray. He made recommendations based on that, and also recommended that I get new orthotics with the latest cushion technology (mine were 2 years old). This office stays on top of the latest technology, and I love my orthotics made from the 3D scanner. The facilities are always clean, and the staff is welcoming. Parking is also easy. After my appointment with Dr. Dang this morning ,I see why. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I was seen promptly and the doctor had explained the issue thoroughly. How can you go wrong with a podiatrist of the name Footer. You can't. He's amazing. He is super knowledgeable and I'd recommend him to anyone. He's encouraging and he answers all your questions. He makes you feel good when you visit. Very personable. I've had a bunion surgery done by him that went very well. He recognizes you by face and by name. If he gets the message he'll call you back that day. He'll even check on you at night post-op. His nurses are really nice. They're helpful. Also, this is the only doctor office I know where they are usually on time or apologize if the doctor is running late and tell you that he is, which is not often. The staff is decent. Some are better than others. The financial accounts lady isn't super nice. The desk staff are prompt. The younger girl who works with checkout isn't really that great though. She definitely has an attitude. I think it was her who forgot to jot down that I wanted the doctor to call me. Overall, I'd recommend Dr. Footer to anyone. read more

I've seen just about every doctor here and I can say they are all AMAZING. I originally saw Dr. Serlo for painful bunions and he referred me to Dr. Assili since he doesn't work on young adults with the condition I had. Dr. Assili worked with me to schedule my surgery around my school schedule for both feet. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. He really is one of the best doctors I've ever had. All of the medical assistants and nurses there are also super nice and helped me a lot with the amount of visits I had because of the extensive surgery I had. I formed a keloid on my scar after surgery and he gave me injections to fix the appearance and made sure I was happy, he also has a lot of good jokes. I saw Dr. Baek and Dr. Dillard for ingrown toenail removals and both are super great. If you need a foot doctor please go here they do not disappoint. read more

The staff working here are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and I always look forward to my appointments. Dr. Assili and his nurse are both FANTASTIC!!! This place is just great and I highly recommend it. I'm a terrible patient - extremely anxious - and both of my visits to this practice have been a perfect ten. I had large, painful callouses on my toes, and I heard it can be very painful to have them removed, so I just coped with the discomfort. I finally went to Dr. Assili after reading his yelp reviews. He removed the callouses and I truly didn't even feel it - we were talking the whole time, laughing, it was completely painless. He's an excellent doctor, and so pleasant to work with. Dr. Sadoughi is by far the BEST doctor I've ever had. I went to him for a minor issue and walked out needing ankle reconstruction. I had struggled for three years being told my ankle was fine and he took the time to assure me it wasn't. A week later I was in surgery and I couldn't be happier! He is hands on, compassionate, caring but most importantly, absolutely AMAZING at what he does! He is always willing to answer questions and discuss any concerns I had. Dr.Sadoughi is amazing. He is very knowlegable, great bedside manners, passionate and takes the time to get to know you. I went to multiple doctors for my foot pain before him and despite the many treatments, I didn't get better. I almost got surgery before I met Dr.Sadoughi. He was great, very easy to talk to, great personality, straight to the point, explained everything in detail and treated me effectively. In 2012 I hit my foot on the bottom of a metal deck chair and that area on top of my foot blew up like an emerging vertical mountain. I'd never seen anything like it. I got an immediate appointment with Dr. Footer who was a co-worker's podiatrist and he brought in Dr Assili for a consult. They both agreed I needed an operation and I went into Shady Grove Hospital that night. I was so surprised to see that Dr Assili came over and visited me explaining what he was going to do the next morning. The operation went well. Since then there's been dIfferent issues with my feet where I have gone to Dr Assili. He, in my personal estimation, is an absolutely wonderful doctor on so many levels and I feel lucky to have found him. read more

Such a great practice. I have seen both Doctor Serlo and Doctor Baek. Both were wonderful. They are caring and very knowledgeable.

I needed a quick appointment for a foot injury and I was recommended to try this practice. The earliest appt was with Dr Lin-relatively new to the practice. He was terrific. Very patient and explained everything. When he recommended inserts I was a bit miffed because all podiatrists seem to do that, but when I hesitated he assured me I didn't need a special order, just the generic super feet ones, and then he explained the benefit for me. Not only was he helpful, but the office staff was excellent and I only had to wait a total of 15 minutes. This is definitely a 5 star operation. read more

Honestly, this place is fantastic, and I cannot say enough good things about it. I originally heard about this place through Yelp, and after reading all of the great reviews, I knew that this was a safe shot. I'd been training for a marathon for the past couple of months, and so when I got injured, I knew that I had to scale back and see a specialist. When relaying the time-sensitivity of my situation to the receptionist over the phone (as I had to get checked out before going back to college), the lady was kind enough to immediately schedule me in a slot for the next day (due to a cancellation.) Dr. Assilli was the doctor who checked my foot out, and quickly diagnosed my condition (flat feet and what could have been the possible beginning of a stress fracture) and gave me a wealth of advice about what to do about the condition. He was also really kind enough to charge me for the cheapest package possible, as I had forgotten to take my insurance card with me from school, and I didn't know if I would have been able to pay for the more expensive consultation packages without my insurance at the time. I've been to at least four podiatry groups (including one acupuncture place and orthopedic group) in DC metro area. This group is the best so far. Dr. Lin is such a fantastic doctor. He seems very knowledgeable and confident. He was able to identify my problems immediately without trying to sell me products for something I did not need. I have been suffering greatly for many, many months with Achilles pain in both heels. I had tried all of the conservative treatments. finally, I saw Dr. Dang and, although he does not have much of a sense of humor or great bedside manner, he is excellent at his job. He had an MRI ordered and it showed that both Achilles were torn. Within a week I was on the table. I had some pain management issues post surgery and Dr. Assilli met me in the ER to assist with it. He was awesome and came up with some great techniques. I am two weeks out with very little pain and almost no pain medication. I'll have no doubts when it's time to do the right one! read more

DR. LIN IS THE BEST DOCTOR EVER!!!!! I had been having pain on my right foot and ignored it for so long till the pain got unbearable and I had to do something about it. I went to 3 specialist who said that orthotics would help but I tried so many and wasted soooo much money....finally I came across shady grove podiatry and met with Dr. lin. He gave me the choice of having surgery to fix the problem and also to reconstruct my foot. The moment he mention surgery I was sooooo happy and excited because finally I knew that this was doctor that actually cared about patients problems. And he explained that he's done the same surgery multiple times . he listened to my past history with other foot doctors that lied and mislead me in the wrong directions and made me feel comfortable through out this whole process. Dr. Assili and his staff are fantastic. He is very trustworthy, ethical and knowledgeable in his field. I highly recommend him.

Awesome. For many reasons: 1. They were able to fit me in very quickly. (As an athlete, this is important. I want to know if it's safe to continue running and not have to miss a week and a half of training til I can get in for an appointment to find out.) I called Tuesday, they got me in Wednesday morning. So, A-plus on the scheduling/ease of appointment. 2. Dr. Assili. FANTASTIC doctor. I'd recommend him to anyone, but especially to a fellow athlete. He's an athlete himself, so he understands that "Just rest it and stay off your feet" is not what we want to hear. He makes every effort to keep you active and training. Funny and personable, too. Knows his stuff. He was able to tell exactly what was wrong with my foot in about two minutes flat. SO glad I found this doctor. Hopefully I won't have the need to go back to the podiatrist anytime soon, but if I do, I'll never go to anyone but Dr. Assili again. 3. Pleasant office. I found the place to be very warm and inviting. It didn't have that cold "medical" feel that a lot of doctor's offices have. I imagine this would be helpful to anyone who has anxiety about seeing the doctor. 4. Office staff. Front desk staff were all friendly, but I want to specifically mention the x-ray tech. I wish I got her name so I could recogize her here, but I didn't. Anyway, she was SO sweet and nice. 5. They don't try to sell you on expensive orthotics or other things. I'm sure they'd recommend them if you really needed them, but every podiatrist I have ever been to wants to immediately get you into a $1000 pair of custom orthotics, no matter what your issue is. I didn't have to deal with the sales pitch here, which was really nice for a change. This place gets five stars from me. :) read more
