Terrific scenic course! Beautiful rolling hills in between bluffs. Nice mixture of difficulty level hole to hole. The upkeep was in pretty good shape. There was one green that was in rough shape and there were some irrigation repairs being done but it was barely noticeable. It was a little expensive, $85 for 2 on a cart doing 18. But we had a blast, so it was worth it. BRING BUG SPRAY. The gnats were terrible, our tee time was 7:00AM, they were brutal until about 10, but still present after that. The clubhouse had a nice bar. Just a beautiful golf course and in great condition. Expected it to be alot harder with the amazing rolling hills and my distraction of the amazing scenery but I faired out pretty well. The Bar/Clubhouse staff was very friendly. Wish they served breakfast for us early players but we just went down the street to the local dinner and grabbed some breakfast sandwiches before our tee time. GO NAVY! Went on Sunday for breakfast and bingo. Service was horrible, maybe because we didn't order alcohol is the only reason our server didn't come to our table, not sure. I had to get her from the bar while she was chatting with someone and ask her if we could order breakfast, she was nice and said oh yes. I went back to the table as we watched her continue her conversation. Food took an hour to get, understood because it was super busy. Had to grab the server for coffee and water. I ordered all sides, 3 eggs, toast, and a side of salsa. My first bill came out and it read 9 dollars when it should've been 7 dollars. Instead of ordering what I ordered she charged me for two eggs any style and eliminated the sausage and hashbrowns from the meal, charged me for coffee and not salsa, when I approached her and said I ordered all sides she got a little cocky and said she can change that. After she changed it she put it in front of me and walked away. It was still wrong, now she charged me for 2 gas which is what I got anyways but then charged me 1.50 for the small amount of salsa as she didn't in the first bill. Now the bill came out to 8.45. She didn't deserve a tip, unfortunately I left her one and it was too big of one. I will not be sitting in her section anymore. Horrible service for my first time there. And lastly, being seated first in your section I was waited on last which took 20min to get my coffee but good thing everyone else got their bloody Mary's. read more

Service was not good Sunday the 23rd but the place WAS busy. However, staff was not observant of when people arrived. We drank an entire beer with menus in front of us before someone took our order. Then the bill was not as expected. Read the fine print under heading. Our $13 wraps were actually 17.50 because Salad/wrap is category but unlike other restaurants, Fox Hollow charges $3 more if you order wrap vs salad and then they tell you 'choice of sides' when it's really either fries or chips. The overly sweet, vinegar-oil (never assume the more common creamy type I guess) cost an extra $1.50 and we didn't even like it. The sandwich was good. Service did not improve but they did remain busy...just not real efficient organization of servers. Free music was way too loud to listen to even sitting as far out as possible. I will examine their menu DETAILS next time I go. No way it's worth an extra $5 for a tortita and a sm cup of coleslaw. Kitchen staff was helpful to me (since couldn't summon a wait person). read more

Great place. Whether u are golfing in the summer or sledding in the winter. The roadhouse provides a great time. Fresh beers, great staff and a set of owners and managers that give a damn. Stop here often. Try the beers and have a good time in Barre mills. read more

Beautiful golf course and well maintained. There are a lot of expensive golf courses and country clubs that don't have half the beauty and and variety of holes that this course has. I also recommend getting a bite to eat in the sports bar. The food is phenomenal. The spicy garlic wings are wonderful but if you only have appetite for one thing, get the fox tots!!! read more

A tad disappointed today....have come here for Friday fish a lot of times, and it's always been the best, today however, not so much. We were just going to have a lighter dinner because we both had a "heavy" breakfast so we were looking for something filling but not heavy. We thought we paid our bar bill because my husband did sign a receipt before we went to our table in the dinning area. In the dinning area we ordered our dinner and when our bill came our waitress said "oh, we did add your bar bill to your dinner bill". I say to my husband we already paid our bar bill, why should we pay it again?? He says, do you have the receipt?? I say no, they didn't give us a receipt......so I wave the manager over try to tell him we should not have to pay our bar bill again with our dinner bill because we already paid our bar bill. So, after 15 minutes he said ok, we've got this fixed, your credit card is reimbursed for our bar bill total. I know....it sounds complicated, and I feel bad about even giving this place a 3 star rating, I love their fish, and their staff, and so happy our debit card is fine. It's the principle of it right?? I should give them a 5 star rating just for this outcome. And the Irish Nachos were to die for. read more

My husband and I were at the fish fry April 20, we were seated right away,that was where the good part of our night ended. We had the worst waitress ever, took forever to get my soda others git theirs before I did and I ordered before them. Our fish and fries were cold, never asked if everything was OK, if we wanted refills on soda or fish. I guess she had to know you to get waited on. When we paid, in the past were always asked how things were. Nothing! Almost was as if they wanted us out of the resturant. Have been there many times before and never had an experiance like this. I had to give it a star but would prefer not any star. The service was awful and the food was not tasty at all. I loved the burgers in past, the heart and seuol was my favorite. Discovered it was not on the menu any more. This visit all the food tasted burnt, from burgers, fries, chips and even the pizza. Had to get the waitress to order after sitting there for 20 minutes. The food showed up 45+ minutes later ... three burgers, a cheese pizza and chicken tenders. Only two other tables in the place ordering. Had to asked for check as well. Sorry but they need to step it up especially with golf season here. read more
