Sadly he could not get more than two days as the place was booked up by a group. This resort was sprawling and did not feel busy despite it being the weekend. Service everywhere was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everywhere was immaculate. Golf talk - My husband loved the golf and commented that the greens were more forgiving than Cabot on Cape Breton. He commented that the parkland nine were surprisingly even nicer than water nine. The Executive course is unlimited, no charge, right by the water. I spent a half day at the spa, reviewed separately and it was a lovely experience. The pool was stunning! The bed was probably the best hotel bed that I have ever slept in. So comfortable. Tim Hortons selection in all rooms, of course, as the founder of this resort is co-founder of Tim Hortons. :) I reviewed one of the restaurants separately. The dinner was outstanding. The breakfast was good - with the lobster Benny being excellent but the scrambled eggs to be avoided.

Upon researching I also saw they were doing a cool Culinary weekend which is something I love. The seminars included in the weekend on the Saturday looked rather boring to me and I could then fit the activities in for her with the food more for me. I set a reservation with lodging, the culinary thing and activities around Sept. 6/2024. On Oct. 25th/2024 - a few days before the event - I get a heartfelt email saying that since they are doing the culinary weekend that they would not be doing activities that Saturday and apologizing. I called the person on the email and was shocked it was the same person who wrote the email. Devoid of any caring or customer service she proceeded in a very robotic way to state and re-state the facts ad nauseam. When pressed on how I could still do activities since that was the initial reason for going there she stated it could be done on the Sunday BEFORE the final brunch which was going to be 9-11am. In other words getting up super early on my vacation. She argued with me saying people aren't at the brunch for the whole time. The basic overall tone and vibe was one of who cares - we don't need you. I consulted with my girlfriend and then called her back, told her our conversation had rubbed me the wrong way, that I wasn't now thrilled to give them almost $2000 and that I was cancelling the whole trip. (It actually really disappointed me and broke my heart!) She mentioned something about maybe coming to visit another time in the future as a general statement, but what she doesn't get is I am never going there - ever. She offered no sympathy, no understanding and did nothing to make it right. (I never asked for anything extra and did not expect it but seeing as it was their last minute change it would have been a nice gesture to just offer) Good customer service that makes patrons feel welcome and appreciated (something I have had to do in past jobs that did not involve such high prices) is the backbone of a business that wants to keep their customers coming back - Fox Harb'r Resort just lost me forever.

Conveniently located 5-10 minutes away from the PEI ferry, the breathtaking view of the waterfront and trees captures your heart as you drive up to the inn. We loved our two bedroom suite, which, while cozy, gave you balcony access and perfect view of the cliffs and ocean as the sun rose behind it each morning. The common spaces in the inn was comfortable as well, and Robert was a great host - very welcoming and prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning, and spent time with us to help map out our day to some fantastic off-the-beaten path spots of PEI. Highly recommend this inn, and definitely look forward to coming back.

Room was cozy but very small. Very noisy, you hear and feel when people walk in the hallway or take shower. The temp outside was in the 80's and the window air conditioner provided barely adequate cooling. The gaps around it were sealed with tape; I'd hate to stay there when its cold outside. Difficult to set the shower temperature. Bed and linens comfortable. The grounds are pretty and well landscaped. The property sits right on the water with beautiful views. There are several common areas that offer cozy couches with coffee tables. The adjacent restaurant is not cheap but their food was delicious - my halibut was perfectly cooked with lots of finesse. Their lobster bake was rich, creamy, tasty and came with toasted pesto pita slices - it was worth the $18. Breakfast is included and was good. Cereal, bagels, yoghurt, juice, sausage and eggs toast, muffins etc. Short on fresh fruit though. Coffee was very good. Staff was friendly and service minded. We checked in late and were hungry and the front desk clerk found us some muffins. So...if you bring earplugs for sleeping you should be OK.

I booked to stay in a 2 bedroom. When I called to confirm the month before, they advised me that I was actually in the new 1 bedroom (that was not available when I booked) The day I was leaving they called to advise there was a "plumbing issue" and I would be staying in even a smaller room. I did not complain one time. Friday afternoon someone had gone to the front office to ask which cabin I was staying in and they told this person which cabin I was in. Friday night when my husband was alone as he did not feel good, during this time someone showed up at the door to advise there was also a plumbing issue in this cabin and we have to get out ASAP. When he asked where we being moved, he advised that the person who rented would get an email, which I never did. I got back to my cabin and my husband and my dog are gone. I finally get him back to the cabin to advise I never got an email. Saturday morning while getting ready for the rodeo in Truro, the cleaning team advised we had to leave as they had someone else booked in for the night, we had an hour to leave and find a hotel to stay in last minute. When I emailed to advise of how disappointed I was, they offered nothing barely even an apology. I have emailed them numerous times to get my deposits back for the stay i canceled in 2026 and they still have not reached out to me. Place has gone downhill and is no longer a safe and peaceful environment. I have filed a claim with small claims court with them.

I am currently involved in a Yoga Program that requires me to observes 24hrs of silence at some point during the course. No radio, internet, TV, talking---notta. What better spot came to mind then Irwin Lakes! My husband and I have been here 2 other times and just loved it. The chalets are rustic but equip with everything you would need. They are nestled in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and wooded area. And the view---overlooking the lake. Stunning. They have 1 bedroom chalets and and even 2 bdrm. Some larger then others, some have hot tubs even. Irwin Lakes is reasonably priced and such a great spot. I recommend to so many people!! If you havent experienced you should!

Saunas are located in individual locker rooms - men and women's separately. Televisions in the rooms are old school low-def tube style - these need an upgrade. Rooms are large and comfortable - suite style. Mini-kitchen with sink, micro-wave and small fridge. Balconies and decks for each room to sit out on in the evenings. Staff are attentive and welcoming.
