This happened to be my first pub on my first trip to the UK. The location, scenery, ambiance is second to none. It is what I expected my first, "Local" pub experience to be. The local beers were room temperature as was to be expected. Being an American I am very used to cold beer. The flavor of the beer was so good I almost did not notice the lack of cold...almost. I guess another feature of true local pubs is if they run out of the menu items they are out! First and second options were gone so that was disappointing. The third option was good enough. The service was outstanding in every way. If you are ever in this part of England I would suggest stopping in for a pint and stepping out back for a look over the countryside.
