Pros: the people I talked to were very personable and answered most of my questions, and their broker fee was included in the quote. Cons: I called to schedule early, was strung along for over a week, and when we did get an offer it was over double the price of the original quote, outside of my pickup deadline and outside of when I wanted it to be delivered. I worked with four different people over the course of nearly 2 weeks and ended up having to cancel because I got a firm price from another company immediately who were available to give me pickup and drop off dates within my timeframe. I really wish this had worked out because all of the people I talked to seemed helpful and knowledgeable, but I felt lied to and betrayed by the end of it. Company sent a lowball quote, that was the best of approximately 15 estimates received. Sent request a second time to verify..same quote received. They will not let you book this quote online, so you call the number they provide. That is when the "bait and switch" begins on the pricing. Long story short, not only was the quoted price not available-they submitted a bid "on my behalf" that was $350 more than I authorized. That bid was not even accepted! Luckily, I am not obligated to honor the price submitted without my authorization. However, I feel we were mislead and their quote was HIGHLY misleading. They wasted a week of my time and I am so frustrated by the lack of ethics and integrity in the Auto Broker business that I will drive the 1500 miles rt to get the vehicle myself. read more

So I did a bit of reading, research and cold calls to highly rated brokers. After speaking to a few brokers I called Fox and spoke to Patrick. Not only did he take as much time as I needed to talk about the process, answer questions and was readily available to me, he was authentic. For me, that's what I needed to select a broker. Transporting a car from Southern California to Ft. Myers, Florida - after fully vetting various "Auto Transport" companies, I decided to use Fox Auto Transport. They were very informative about the entire procedure, which was very helpful, not knowing how this business worked. Gave them my information, with an open ended pick-up date. 3-4 days later, I was notified that someone had a spot on their trailer and the price was negotiated (well, within reason, I might add). Car was picked up on from my home on a Saturday evening and delivered Wednesday evening! I was given contact information of the actual transport company and driver and kept apprised of timing via phone calls and text. After naively submitting a random online request for a quote to transport a vehicle from Michigan to Texas, I was immediately overwhelmed with hundreds of phone calls, texts and emails from all over the country. I finally reached out locally for personal recommendations. Thankfully, one of my neighbors recommended Patrick from Fox Auto Transport and I couldn't be more impressed! Stressful and Unprofessional. The truck driver did not show up or even give a notice. It was very difficult to get a hold of someone (through the business week). Once finally able to get a hold of someone they changed the quote price via email. Overall, I had to go with another company because of how difficult and stressful they made the process. This is a long review but the short version for anyone who doesn't wanna read all the details... I called to make a booking for my car to be driven fr California to Florida. Patrick was able to find a driver that same day that could pick up my the next day for a price that was a little higher than the quote, but still lower than every quote I received from other companies I spoke to. My car arrived within 5 days exactly like they said it would and the driver was super nice. I had zero issues during the whole process and would 100% recommend Fox Auto Transport. I had the best experience with Fox Auto Transport. Literally better than I could have ever imaged, esp with all the horrible things I've read about the auto transporting industry. So I recently moved from Hawaii to Florida and had to ship my car. With how the shipping worked my car would be on a boat to LA then it would have to be driven on a truck to Florida. I booked the first part of the trip through a different company and planned on flying to LA to drive the car my self to Florida. With the virus I decided it would be worth it to just pay for someone to deliver it. I asked the company that handled the boat part for a quote and they said it would cost almost $1700 just for the truck from LA to Florida. I decided to check other options and regrettably put my number and email in on a site to get quotes from other companies. The second I put it in my phone got call after call from different companies trying to book me with them. I read up a lot online and read a lot of horror stories about people transporting their cars so I did a ridiculous amount of research and decided that Fox Auto Transport was the one I wanted to go with since their BBB rating was an A+ and they didn't have any complaints against them. So I emailed them to see if the quote they gave me was still good and they informed me they had to put out a bid for my car and see if any drivers pick it up. That was on Monday. The same day I got a call back saying a driver put in an offer for that was about $150 more but he could pick it up tomorrow (Tuesday) and have it to me in about 5 days. Mind you even with the $150 more I paid almost half of what the company that did the boat shipping quoted me and less than all the companies that reached out to me from putting in my email. I agreed to the bid. My main concern was the pick up because if my car wasn't picked up from LA by a certain day I would have to pay extra for a holding fee, so with the driver being able to pick up my car the next day half of my worries disappeared. On Tuesday I called the driver to make sure my car was picked up and he informed me it was. I received a call Friday night letting me know my driver would be here tomorrow to drop off my car. I was shocked. I've read so many horrible stories about drivers not picking up the car on the day they said and it taking much longer than quoted to get the car delivered. On Saturday morning I received a call letting me know that the driver was an hour away. He got to me in less than an hour and the drop off went flawlessly. He was really nice and I paid him the rest of the money and that was it. I am so impressed by the quick service I received from Patrick and my driver. However, this was the first time i used Fox and they were even better than the other companies I used.
