Excellent service - exactly what I needed for my torn toe nail, and cleaned all the other 9 very nicely too.

I went in today to get a fill & there was a misunderstanding. She told me I didn't need a fill and put gel over. I think it's because she had people coming in and she was rushing. I would have been okay with that, if the quality was there. But the nails were lumpy, had chunks on them (I had to ask her to remove), and polish is all over the cuticle. I have a professional job and need my nails to look professional. I would never let a client walk out looking like this. read more

I am in purgatory right now. Trying to find a good nail shop. There are so many things to consider like business hours, number of customers, the quality of work, prices. So finding a good shop that meets all your criteria's is very difficult. I am very picky with my manicures cause who likes to pay so much for something that will be ruined soon. So I needed a gel manicure and I was set on doing it that day. After going to so many shops I found this one open till 8. When you first walk in the place looks sketch but the ppl are nice. So she tells me wait a few minutes which I did. This isn't somewhere I would walk into and stay if I had other options. Just looks run down any way I start getting my nails done and the lady is so nice and were talking and she's doing my manicure and I quickly grow a liking to this establishment. She shaped my nails just as I asked her too and the paint job isn't bad either all in all I was very happy with the outcome. I will def be going there again. If you stop by see Kim. read more

I came here because I needed a gel manicure and there was a parking spot out front. The salon itself is really run down to the point of appearing dirty. I should have just turned around when I walked in, but I was desperate. While I didn't look at the regular nail polish, the color/brand choices seemed limited. The gel choices were okay, although very few OPI colors. (I have never seen the brand that they had the majority of their gel colors in.) I specifically asked the woman (Tina?) who did my nails not to file them or shape them - they are short and the shape suits my hands. When she trimmed my cuticles, she actually cut skin around the edges of my nails - NOT cuticles! - and then used the tool to cut the edges of my nails, so now some of them have weird cut-out corners - they look like little ledges - and some look like chiclets. It's ridiculous. When she applied the basecoat, I had to direct her to actually cover my whole nail. When I pointed out that she wasn't going to the edge (side), she sort of fought back. I don't know if it was the language barrier or something else... I'm glad that I did stick to my guns, though, because after that it seemed that she was paying attention to what she was doing and actually covered the whole nail. I'm noticing now, however (next day) that she painted over basically every cuticle (at base of nail) - which means that the second they start to grow out, the edge is going to catch on everything and I'll likely end up peeling them off. Minimal lotion/hand massage I need to just buy an at-home gel kit... UPDATE, 2 days later: I keep looking at them. Literally the WORST manicure I've ever gotten. read more

Does it sound bad to say if you like it cheap and quick, this is the place to go? Seriously, I waited longer (four minutes) than the eyebrow waxing took (two minutes). The cost was $8 with a $2 tip. Minimal puffiness. Staff seems nice enough but I wasn't there that long. Although an appointment isn't necessary, I suggest you call ahead, just to make sure it isn't too busy. Very happy. read more

I have been to quite a few places to get my pedi/medi. Something happened today prompted me to write this review. First of all, I have been to expensive spa such as Bella Sante and other places to get nails done. Those fancy place add the ambient, and soothing feeling, but the nails job are pretty much the same. I have been to this place quite a few times. They are friendly, in fact never rush me. It's not a fancy place, but a place where I can get my nails done quick and cheap. Today, there was this other lady came to get eyebrows and nails done. At time when she was supposed to pay $25 for the job, she realized she didn't have the money. She tried to call home, but no one answer. She insisted that it's likely someone took her money while she left her purse somewhere. The lady who worked there told her that she can pay back next time when she visit! In addition, she even finished the additional eyebrows job for her! After the woman left, I told the owner i would pay for the $25. She looked at me and said "Thank you, but you don't have to. Things happen and we can't false her for her lost money." read more

I came to Four Seasons recently to get a manicure before I went on an interview. Min was very nice. She agreed to take me even though it was getting close to closing time. I think that she did a great job on my hands, very thorough and professional! I needed nail tips added on all of my fingers. Even over a week later, I keep looking at my hands and marveling at how good they look! The price was right, too, at $30. Great manicure at a great price! I will definitely be coming back. read more

4 Seasons is a small salon (the little white building across from the Valente branch of the Cambridge Public Library) owned by the sweet, charming couple who constitute the entire staff. They did a great job, and I give it five stars because it's just what I was looking for - a good price and a good job. I'm not concerned with spa decor and aromatherapy and this is a no-frills place - tile floors, a one-room service area, and there's a ceiling mounted TV (and a tiny Buddhist shrine in the window). But the service is excellent and the prices are great - a manicure is $10, a pedicure is $25, and if you get both it's $30. They did not use a razor, but I don't know if they ever do. My stylist did an awesome job of scrubbing away the neglect so I didn't even miss it. The pedicure chairs have built in massage. The next batch of tools was sitting in a sterilization device (with a purple glow that looks like a toaster oven???) and the staff washed down and sprayed down the foot baths after we finished while the polish was drying, too. Is there even another salon in Inman that does pedicures? I don't know, but I won't be going anywhere else!! read more

My mom and best friend got fungus from this nail salon after I WARNED THEM NOT TO GO TO THIS SALON. Please read reviews before going to this salon not worth it. They both will be taking strong medications for the next 6 to 8 months to rid the FUNGUS. read more

The staff is nice, but my nails started to chip fairly quickly. I like to take my time with drying, but the lady started to shoo me out, even when there were zero other customers in there (and not close to closing time). I think there are better salons out there. read more

I agree with the previous reviewer. Four Seasons is clean, comfortable, efficient and affordable. They did a great job on my pedicure. There aren't many other places near Inman that do nails without special call ahead arrangements. read more

II really regret having to update my review but it seems that every time I find someplace 1/2 decent to do my nails, they start the practice of "over-booking". I tend to be someone that makes appointments out of necessity. I don't have my days full of just walking around stopping in to get my nails done as a 'walk-in" because quite frankly I'm beyond busy. I thought the whole point of making an appointment was to be seen at that time or shortly after. After a few times a making appointments only to be treated as a walk in I'm fed up. There's always an excuse. 1st it was the woman before me showed up late, then it was just sit down and wait, they're sorry but it will be a while. Ok, so you have a repeat customer, that repeat customer does what she supposed to, makes an appointment, shows up on time and right before she get their a walk in shows up. You A) Tell the walk in they'll need to come back B) Tell them you can start but they may have to wait since you have an appointment coming in. It's beyond aggravating when you plan your date around an appointment, drive and arrive to appointment on time, plunk $2 worth of quarters into the meter (just to be safe), walk in and are told it will be a while. Huh? It would be different if this was a once or twice occurrence but this has happened several times. read more

My husband came home from work early - I was home looking after our 3-month-old kid - and asked me if I wanted to go get a pedicure. (Yes, I do have the best husband ever.) So I got on yelp to find someplace quick in Inman. Franco's was booked, but Four Seasons said sure, come on in, though maybe a little unconvincingly. I ran over and they seemed pretty busy. I waited a few minutes next to a woman who seemed to be getting a nice, long pedicure with a good-looking massage, etc. The guy who I assumes owns the place came over to do my nails, finishing up around the same time as the woman next to me, with little to no massage. It wasn't that big of a deal because I felt I knew what I was getting when I walked in the place (it doesn't exactly look luxurious or anything), but the real disappointment was that the polish was all bubbly and thick because he put way too much on. I might go back in a pinch, but would try to get one of the ladies to do my nails instead. read more
