I had a zipper replaced in a pair of shorts and paid about $17 for the repair. When I tried on the…read moreshorts, the zipper worked fine, but there were a few stitches just below the zipper that were missing, leaving a small hole. When I pointed out the issue, the woman who did the repair said that she worked only on the zipper, not the seam just below it. She offered to fix the small hole for an additional $9.50! I couldn't believe it. I wasn't aware of any hole in the shorts when I dropped them off. Even if there was a hole, it was in the same area she was working and would've taken only a couple stitches to fix it. Instead, she knowingly left the stitches undone, and didn't mention the hole. So, I had to make a trip back to the cleaners, only to have her ask for an extra $9.50 to fix the issue. Even if she was technically correct, and I don't know whether she was, I think it was a missed opportunity to do the right thing for the customer. We've used Mega cleaners for the last 10 years, without incident, but I'll have to think long and hard about going back after that kind of customer treatment.
