This might be the smallest lodge option on the hill but does have a relaxing view of the mountain outside. Everyone has chairs outside that look out into the mountain.

So on mountain, typical lodge. Tables inside and out on a nice big deck. 3 levels but only 1 with a restroom (bottom). I expect more from an on mountain place that is charging upwards of $150+ per day. They have a car Robert of rIdiculously priced fOod options, salad, sandwiches, grilled food. Come at on off hour, or you will never find a seat! This plAce is a ok, gets an exTra Star for their Bloody Mary, which is a must do (see picture)

This was a very unique experience and one that you will not find at too many places. Please note that this review is about the snowcat /gondola experience. We boarded the gondola a few minutes before our allotted time and arrived at Thunderhead Lodge. We were greeted by Laura who had us congregate in the Lodge before our snowcat ride. Our snowcat arrived and we were given a heads up by our driver regarding the ride to our final destination, Four Points Lodge. The ride was a fun way to travel up the mountain with only some very bright lights for guidance and the expertise of our driver. We arrived 10 minutes later and were greeted by Cliff, the restaurant manager. We were next given a breakdown of how the evening was to proceed. We debarked the snowcat and were seated at our table. From there we selected a nice Cabernet. Our server, Jordan, was very attentive throughout the evening even offering photos inside AND outside the restaurant. Know that by day this is a utilitarian ski lodge, but by night this turns into a fine dining establishment. The food was exemplary. We started with antipasti plate. Onward to a Tuscan bean soup and Caesar salad. All were very tasty and well presented. I selected the chicken plate and my wife the salmon. Both dishes were expertly prepared. The flavors of each dish shone. Our experience was not only unique but romantic and enjoyable as we made our way down the gondola to the Steamboat town lights. Nice way to spend an evening.

The snowcat dinner is a blast! Ride straight up the mountain in a heated snowcat. Greeted with wine & appetizers. The dinner was over the top great, service was exceptional. My table ordered the chicken and the salmon, both were amazing. I can't wait to do this again!

After your gondola ride in the sunset, John will make sure your snowcat limo will get you the rest of the way up!

Fantastic adventure, dinner, and view. Cannot be beat. I would highly recommend this on top of your Steamboat Springs bucket list. Fine dining atmosphere on top of the western Rockies. Exquisite menu and food, with excellent service. From the time you climb out of the snocat limo Cliff makes sure you have the utmost dining experience. Many thanks to you all for a very memorable birthday dinner.

Best food on the mountain, lots to choose from. Bison meatloaf, elk burgers, pastas, Asian and the star homemade CHICKEN POT PIE! Variety of beers and bloody Mary's. You have to take the four points lift to get to it and it's right as get off the lift.

The Four Points evening snow cat dinner was absolutely phenomenal! The five course Italian meal was to die for. Then on top of that the amazing gondola & snow cat ride to get up to the four points lodge after dark was an unforgettable experience. The staff was easy to talk to and over the top helpful. Highly recommend the Four Points Lodge evening dinner!

The chili is great and this is one of my favorite lifts on the mountain as an intermediate snowboarder. The views are gorgeous

We had a most excellent evening starting with a gondola ride followed by a snowcat ride up to 4 Points for dinner.

My impressions of this park are probably impacted by the fact that they desperately need snow. (As…read moremost ski resorts out here do). However other factors also influenced my impression. They need better access to maps, both the posted sign size and paper maps. For example, a trail map at bottom of each lift and at top of lift would be good too esp when more than 1 lift ends at same location. And why not put a map of ski village buildings on the trail map to help with orientation. I wish they would have groomed the trails more so in the morning so snow would have been fresher. It just seemed to make it more icy by grooming at night. Since many trails were closed people were condensed into those trails that were open. Squeezing more people into a smaller area will course make lift lines crowded but also puts more traffic on the slopes. The lift lines were absolutely ridiculous on the weekend. I didn't pay that much for lift ticket to repeatedly stand in lift line for 20 minutes. Also it would have been nice to have an increase in ski patrol monitoring some of the trails to discourage the aggressive behavior including the boarder who purposely ran into me and knocked me down. (When they laugh and keep going you know it was on purpose) We purchased lift tickets months ago so I don't remember the details of the process except that it wasn't straightforward. I ordered lift tickets for both myself and my husband so assuming I did the same thing each time but no he got a pass with early up access and I didn't. Weird. Okay here are some positives: I do like the availability of restrooms throughout the resort including up on some slopes. That is very nice. I appreciated sharing the slopes with amputees and individuals using wheelchairs. It is nice to see the inclusivity. I also really enjoyed going up to Sunspot lodge in the evening for sunset. That was very fun.

Winter Park is always a blast! One of my favorite mountains I've been to…read more I heavily recommend the Mary Jane side of the mountain, especially for fellow snowboarders. Less moguls, usually less traffic, and some opportunities to play in the trees. The folks operating the mountain are always kind and on solo days I seemed to find new friends on the lift ride to the top. Friendly folks all around. Stay safe. Have fun. And shred on!
