We were convinced to try a freebie and The Homie selected the ube cheese pandesal. I was skeptical because I'm not much of a ube person. However, when we split it to share in the parking lot....omg that was pretty amazing! I was very tempted to go back inside and buy more. However, I refrained knowing our car trunk was already full of various carbs purchased from other places in Parkland and Lakewood. The Puget Sound region is lucky to have choices in Everett, Lynnwood, Seattle, Tukwila, Kent, and here in Lakewood. We got in the car to eat our food. Our dogs were with us and were enticed by the smell as well, so that's a good sign as we complimented the smell too. I wish the food was kept just a bit hotter, but that's my minor gripe as I just don't like lukewarm foods. Now I will admit that the shumai is decent, but the sauce that comes with it is the star of the show. It has some spice while having this tangy umami kick that brought out the flavors of not only the shumai but also the siopao. I would definitely order custom baked goods from here, knowing the quality and taste of products from this shop!!!
