Sorry this is a bit of a novel, First off, huge thank you to Alexis and Jason at the Collective Glendale leasing office, they are amazing and have gone above and beyond to make this my favorite stay at any apartment I've ever rented by far and have made me even feel comfortable enough and like this is home that I will be extending my lease, which I have only done on one other occasion in 10 years of renting in CO, and 5 in CA. Knowing that between me being picky about amenities and community when I was on my search and because of relocating states being on a time crunch, plus my ex being...well.... To be nice.... a basic, bad tempered, bitter, barbie about anything she did not have full reigns on deciding, we could NOT have been real fun to work with while touring and looking at options, especially since the ex was in general spoiled rotten and kept bringing up what other properties that were unrealistic and far out of this price range had, but even with all of that, the way Alexis and the leasing office were understanding, accommodating, and responsive with a smile regardless of the attitude sometimes thrown their way, showed immediately how much they care about helping provide the best community and environment they can for current and even potential future residents. In terms of the combination of great cust service, comfort level with a good instinctual feeling, and proximity to downtown and entertainment nothing else came close. Full transparency, I was a bit worried at first about the location due to being kind of close to Evans and Monaco but I've never felt uncomfortable walking at night alone, or felt like I was at risk here in anyway and neither did my ex (the basic bad tempered bitter barbie from earlier) and that is saying a lot as prior to this she had never lived anywhere but the equivalent of Malibu or Lake Tahoe if her sheltered self felt safe I promise you will too!.... Between seeing pictures of each available unit and building here and taking a tour of at least 15 other properties over that weekend, the decision seemed easy for me and I'm glad I chose where I did. My friend who ended up renting my ex's first choice in Lodo, despite my pleas for him to follow rationality... has had 6 months where the shower, toilet, or dish washer have all been invariably broken at various times. Four mile flats, the one time I had an issue, the second week I moved in, they completely replaced the AC unit in full the same day, got it working and since then everything's been smooth. They don't try to play games or use half ass solutions they do things right the first time. There are of course the occasional maintenance requirements or upgrades being done here or there that can cause a bit of an inconvenience, rarely for half a day at the most, but unlike any other apartment building, they will actually notify you beforehand of the work being done, when it is expected to be completed, and what may be shut off or out of service temporarily. They are actually really very quick with fixing anything, usually it's same day even on more complicated matters like HVAC which is impressive and they are as good with if not better with communication than anywhere else I've rented. I've lived in 6 other locations in the Denver Metro area in the last decade and this is by far the best and believe it or not, this is the ONLY apartment I've had that I have never had either my apartment broken into with most things of value gone, or something stolen or broken on my vehicle. I've been here for a whole year now safely, while it took less than 6 months for the first occurrence at any of the other places I rented. That should speak volumes on how well the property is managed and secured. I wasn't living in crappy areas before either mind you..... South Boulder, Northglenn, Westminster, Broomfield, and South Aurora by Southlands all of those areas should be nice but had security issues with either the parking lot or the building/unit itself being broken into and a staff that couldn't be bothered. I've never had issues finding parking in our lot, mail has always been where it needs to be no one has stolen packages even when we went camping on labor day weekend and had a couch being delivered that Friday night. The package wasn't stolen despite 3 days of us not being there, good luck finding anywhere else that is that respectful. Truly ideal for the people who are over the party every week-night atmosphere but aren't ready to completely settle down on the weekends. Great for someone who works in DTC, downtown, or Aurora, and still needs to be close to DIA, the mountains, and/or Boulder but refuses to pay the Boulder Bubble Bounty or the Downtown Denver gentrified Dividend. So far I'm enjoying my stay here in Glendale at the four mile flat location. It's very convenient for me since it's close to the job and so many useful locations nearby. Phateema does a great job of always making sure to check on me frequently to make me always feel very welcome and the rest of the staff team does a great job as well read more

I've lived in Four Mile Flats for three months now, and my opinion has fallen even lower. Nothing came from that conciliatory reply to my first review, and longtime residents planning to leave here were unsurprised. There are some good people and staff working here, but bad ones make the laundry room stink because they drop off their rotting garbage there instead of carrying it out, the courtyard noise during in the small hours of the morning make me shut my windows on warm summer evenings, and the family of hippopotami above me and the fighting couple near them just confirm the overwhelming feeling that I made a terrible mistake. The folks serving the place don't care either--there are Amazon lockers for boxes, sometimes used by UPS, but it's hit or miss (like your orders). The rent is about $200 more per month because you're charged for "community services" and high fees just to pay your bills online. If you're the type who doesn't care about such stuff, or you cause it, this might be the place for you. Everyone else, if you can, keep looking. This is a better place to leave than to live. read more

Since this review I have had to file a BBB complaint against these apartments for causing their residents to be without heat for almost a week and without any sort of help or financial restitution for this. They have also had major issues keeping the hot water working, I've gone almost a week without that in some cases a number of times. I can't wait to move out and I'll be leaving in august and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. They get good reviews bc they tell their maintenance staff they'll buy them gift cards if they get good reviews on here so the maintenance staff asks people to write them good reviews- do not be fooled. read more

Just wanted to drop in and say how blessed we are to have David The groundskeeper on our property. This man busts true ass for a community that barely acknowledges his hard work. Most of the residents let their dogs poop EVERYWHERE and never clean it up, disrespecting the hard work this man does to make sure there are proper places and bags to pick up and toss your waste. In a word...AVOID. While FMF is in a great location for dining and commute to downtown, that's about the extent of the benefits. I have lived at FMF for 2 years and will not be renewing my lease. In year 1, the promised "FREE wifi" was useless; not even enough bandwidth to check my email if the wifi was functional at all. The AC unit, which is a window unit built into the living room wall, sounded like a freight train but didn't even put a dent in the summer heat and never got cool air to my bedroom at all. The walls, floors, and ceilings are paper thin, so you will hear and SMELL everything your neighbors do. The stairs in the hall are so rickety that they rattle nearby walls, causing artwork to fall off my living room walls. Management is pathetic. They will molly coddle you UNTIL you sign the lease and then cease to care about you at all. It took me 2 months and a threat of legal action on social media to get repairs on an electric outlet that was possibly shorting out in the wall of my kitchen. In year one of my lease I reported my noisy/inefficient AC unit and the maintenance request was marked closed without them ever coming to repair it. In year two, the AC unit ceased to work in 90 degree weather during a stay-at-home government mandate and my repeated maintenance requests were ignored for two months until I, once again, threatened legal action and tagged Allied Orion group on social media. Local management told me they "weren't allowed" to send someone to repair it due to the pandemic, while Allied Orion insisted it was emergency maintenance and would be remedied immediately. It took 20 minutes for the maintenance guys to install a new unit but neither of them wore appropriate PPE despite Allied Orion's promise that they would do so. I've also dealt with repeated cockroach infestations. Management will give you less than 24 hours notice to completely empty your kitchen and bathroom cabinets and find a place to relocate your pets for pesticide spraying...and they'll notify you by taping a note to your door during a pandemic when people are socially isolating and may not even find the note for days. Angelica in the office claimed that the pesticide used was "safe for pets" and in the same breath claimed my cats were "a liability." Which is it? I've both rented AND been a landlord and I have NEVER encountered the utter incompetence and lack of regard that I've experienced here, NOR would I have ever treated my own tenants so poorly. read more

In September of 2018, I renewed my lease w/ Four Mile Flats. Also, and unfortunately, at the same time I noticed, one of the exterior doors, on the ground floor, in the main stairwell was broken. I've submitted (a) workorders with the office, (b) a formal request under the warranty of habitability and (c) a Health Department request, pursuant to Building Code in an effort to get this dangerously unlocked door fixed. It is November of 2018 now, and the office still has not ordered a door. They refuse to tell me a timeline for resolution, and are also giving the Health Department representative the run around. They even had the audacity to ask me what my "problem" was about the door - I had to explain that my "problem" was the safety of my family in the stairway leading up to our home. read more

I have very recently moved into Four Mile Flats. Alexis, at the leasing office, was very patient with me; showing me the other properties that the office manages, and answering all of my questions. There were some issues in the apartment when I moved in. I brought those issues to Alexis' attention. I was impressed that she was willing to work with me, and work around my odd work schedule, to have the issues taken care of with the least amount of disturbance for me. I also want to add that I met two of the maintenance staff while they were fixing those issues in my apartment. They were very professional all around. The property and leasing agents at this place is amazing. Evans was our agent and he tas the best. These apartments are a good a size, location ,has a dog park, gym swimming pool and hot tub. Its got absolutely more amenities than any complex I have lived in and that's quite a few over the years. A+ ' When it comes to the other properties in the Collective, I have toured them as well and all well worth the money. ASK FOR EVANS!!! He is the best leasing agent. My roommate and I had not leased an a new apartment in a few years and didn't exactly know what it was we wanted or needed and what we could afford and live nicely....He made it happen. Found us a beautiful apartment at a great price *compared to the rest of ANY corporate complexes*) he best deal) Very pleased. read more

My AC unit stopped working last night so I called over to residence services. I quickly got a call back from Nick telling me new AC units had been ordered and would come by in the morning to install a new AC unit in my apt. Nick came by the very next morning with a brand new AC unit and installed it in under 10 minutes. 5 Stars to Nick! :) read more

This isn't just another 1 star review, when I first moved into this place, I loved it and my initial review was for 5 stars. Wow have things change in a couple of years. If you want to live in an apartment with disrespectful neighbors, incompetent maintenance, and a leasing office that doesnt own any of their issues, look no further. I have had a service ticket open since December 5th with a new excuse each week as to why no one ever showed up. Save yourself the frustration and find a better apartment to live in. read more

Four Mile Flats is a great find. Errol, the maintenance guy was great. On time, very easy going, stayed as long as I wanted and fixed everything, even found stuff that needed fixing and fixed it. I have been here a couple weeks and everyone is helpful. The office and maintenance staff say yes a lot which is rare in large apartment conglomerates. Thanks Errol for being a five star. PS. I can't wait for them to ad more plants around the place especially at the entrance on Mississippi. My roommate and I moved out (thank God) in April after a miserable 2 years at FMF. To begin, the management is poor and office staff members are extremely disrespectful (after signing your lease of course). Our first red flag should have been upon signing, when LaLa (office staff) changed our apartment number and monthly rent charge without telling us. This happened again upon re-signing where the contract had to be corrected before we signed it. To be honest we didn't have many problems the first year, except for rude office staff and maintenance issues that were never addressed. Maintenance will either not respond to requests at all, mark requests completed after not doing anything, or they will enter your home without warning or permission. After we re-signed our lease (huge mistake) it was 8 months of pure hell. We discovered a cockroach infestation that was completely ignored by management for 3 months (after notifying them multiple times). When they finally decided to do something about it and send out someone to spray, they gave the building just 24 hours notice to completely clean out our kitchen. Having no other choice, we set out our entire kitchen in our dining room and living room. They failed to eradicate the infestation, after spraying multiple times over the next 3 months, and our kitchen contents remained scattered across the apartment until we moved out. After reading other reviews, it's clear that roaches live in the paper thin walls of the entire building! If this grosses you out as much as us, I recommend avoiding this place at all costs. To top it all off after move out they claimed that we "took" their internet modem and now owed them $75... We moved out during the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, and the office was closed with no way to return the keys or modem to them (items were left in apartment). Also no way to reach anyone to let them know. We had a miserable experience here, and if you're smart you'll stay far away from this place! read more

Larry is the best. He is on the maintenance staff and I was so pleased working with him. He is prompt, super friendly and always communicative with what's going on. Moved in a little under three months ago. The check in process was a little rocky when I got here. But everything got handled timely. Since then Lisa has helped me with several issues or problems that have gotten addressed imediently or as fast as possible. Joe and Rick have gone above and beyond in helping me fix my heat problem. That was only down a couple of days and we got my fire place fixed so I could stay warm during the process. I appreciated that once they knew I was without heat they got it up and running in one days time. Lucky to have such dedicated matenience! read more

The absolute worst rental experience I've ever had. If you post a complaint on the community website, the manager will delete it before it makes it to the community. For example: security breaches. Legitimate concern? Nope, deleted. Broken gates when there was a murder 3 blocks away? Legitimate concern? Nope, deleted. Staff letting 5 of their friends in to use the free laundry? My sink has been broken and the maintenance team did such a great job they were fast and polite. Tony was a great help as well My closet door and garbage disposal were also broken and he fixed it with no problem. He was called in only for the sink yet fix the other problems around the house. Absolutely terrible. They have lost our packages, admin/office will never call you back even after you leave several messages. Building has bed bugs, noisy/abusive neighbors who shake the entire building with their wrestling, that when you complain they do nothing about it, they will take 4 months to replace an appliance when I could have bought it myself and just sent the office the bill. Admin is extremely disrespectful and when you have a legitimate problem they will never contact you about it. Maintenance is incredibly rude when you ask them question and snap at you. The doors to the building are broken and people from other complexes come in and use our washers/dryers or sleep in the halls. Kids run rampant in the middle of the night screaming up and down the halls and I've had to call the police 3 times to get the kids out and once on a domestic violence call where I could hear the guy threatening to kill his spouse then threatened to kill me when I called the police. The floors peel up and are not properly sealed and come up all the time. Admin will also threaten additional charges on your rent if you write a negative review and will take money off if you write a 5 star review. You are not allowed to be unhappy or have complaints here. I will continue to write these reviews until the main office admin calls me and we can talk about these issues because I call them monthly and never hear back. read more

Lindsey, at the leasing office, helped my roommate and I get the #1 unit of our choice! Our apt is very a very spacious two bedroom 1 bath +2 vanitys. Fixtures and appliances are up to date and maintenance staff is very attentive, timely and helpful. We have been there since august and have enjoyed our living experience so far! read more

He was super patient as I toured each Glendale Collective property and wanted to make sure I found the right spot. Ended up settling on Four Mile because it seems to offer the best value. The apartments are amazing and not too expensive.Everyone in the leasing office is so nice and helpful with anything I've ever needed! Lindsay is always so awesome and I love going in to see her. She helped me and my roommate sign our lease and was knowledgeable about the complex and so cheery. She is part of the reason we signed. I moved in in April and things have been great! I love the fact that this is a "Pet friendly" complex. There are 2 good sized runs and fenced areas to walk my dog in. The huge fireplace in the middle of the commons area and numerous grills and seating make the outdoors as inviting as my apartment itself. Although these buildings were built in the 60's, they've been updated and are quiet comfortable and pretty. Everyone in the office is professional and more importantly, nice. I have nothing but good things to say!! read more
