I really go back and forth when it comes to this place. I got UV Gel Tips w/design (photo included) and it came up to $105.00 before tip. Without the "design" (which was the gold flecks) the manicure would have totaled $75.00 which is still pricey. 1 star taken off for that considering average for the neighborhood. I will say the girl doing my nails was very nice as was the owner---no issues with customer service as the technician made sure I was pleased with the length and shape of my nails as the process went on. My issue was more about the cleanliness of the establishment itself, and the reason a 2nd star was taken off. I inwardly cringed when I saw her take out Ann extremely used nail file from her drawer. No sanitizing was done with any of the tools she used..the cuticle cutter wasn't cleaned beforehand, either. This is how nail fungus is easily spread! I then noticed that no one else was seeming to have anything sanitized before use, either...including the ladies getting pedicures without the tub even rinsed out beforehand or after. I guess I'm used to what has become almost industry-standard: disposable individual tools for each client, and proper sanitation procedures before and after "shared" tools are used. And yes, my nail tech also just threw the file and clippers back in her drawer along with everything else without cleaning them. She had another customer immediately after me, too. I honestly don't know if I would return--I liked her attention to detail, and I felt welcomed--however there are literally DOZENS of nail salons all in close proximity to each other on this same street...perhaps with better prices and better cleanliness...I hear a lot of good things about Candy at Queen Nails, which is only a block away. read more

I've been coming here for a very long time and wanted to leave when they went under new management after Covid life returned to normal. I was very used to Leo & Jane and it was hard for a harsher new owner to take their place. But guess what, the neighborhood salons are worse. I tried making appointments elsewhere and they never respected my time. So yes, I'm still with Four Leaf. I love Alex, he does my gel nails perfectly, and never talks. Like who wants to talk during a manicure? The owner, Jazmine respects my time-I walk in and sit. Gloria is my go to for pedicures and she is also quiet and caring. After a friend recommendation this has been my go to spot since Summer 2021. I have shared this gem with other friends and I am happy to keep going. The location is clean. The people who work there are friendly. I have been able to call and make an appointment even for the same day. I recently got a gel manicure and pedicure before vacation. I want to note the pictures of white nails are after 3 weeks of exposure to sun, sand, mud, and lots of typing. I only came to get my nails done because of the nail growth. The color was not dull and there were no chipping of my nails. For my touch up I did remove the gel, I typically just get gel when I go away for vacation. I switched over back to a manicure and pedicure and the transition was easy. The nail technician was gentle and tried her best to not damage my real nails. On previous occasions I have gotten a back massage which was nice. It was held in the back area on a chair. Please note tip cannot be added when you pay with a credit card. They seem to have launched a reward card where you can gain points for your treatment, you get more points if you pay with cash. read more

My zip code is a hot-spot so the nail salons are closed, so naturally I went to the next zip code lol... called and they had an appointment available within the hour... the girls are super sweet! I was asked if it was my first time, and explained that they use a layer of UV gel for added nail protection (awesome!!) Ming did my nails and is so detailed and did an amazing job. Great salon...my nails (gel manicure) last for at least 3-4 weeks...and that is because of the growth, not because they are falling off. The prices are very fair for the area. I used to pay $30 for a gel manicure in my old salon and they would peel off after 10-12 days. Now I pay $40 (without design) and I am good for a month. I came here a few times several years ago and was pretty happy with the service I received. I stopped in for a gel manicure because I had an event that night. Not sure what the girls name was (wish I could remember) but she did a great job. She did the gel manicure differently than I'm used to and I was a little worried in the beginning. The top coat seemed to be gooped on very liberally which I thought was strange at the time. It went over my nails and once it dried under the UV my nail was stuck down. She then filed my nails to unstick them. Now that I've had my gel manicure for over two weeks I'm convinced she did a better than great job. I think she was just trying to get the polish under my nail as much as she could which worked! DO NOT DO YOUR GEL MANICURE HERE, THEY RUINED MY NAILS. If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm not a unfair critic, but what they do at this salon is not gel. What they claim to be the base coat is the same as what they use to give your nails a natural looking extension. It burns and is left looking like a big bubble, they don't thin it out even when you tell them to; and it needs to be filed off with one of those electric files. I take great care of my nails and now they're thin as paper because of all the filing that needed to be done to get them off. That's another thing. When you get gel, it should be soaked off by wrapping your fingers with acetone and aluminum foil. This place immediately just filed it off, destroying your nail before destroying it more with that crap they call gel. If you care about your nails, do not come here. read more

However, the UV gel was very painful. Every time I had to put my nails under the UV light, it felt like my nails were getting burnt. One of my nails was actually broken so I asked for a gel extension, which broke right after my prom, so I currently have a broken nail once again. The price was reasonable, but I have seen better prices with better results elsewhere. I am highly allergic to latex. I understand the girls need gloves. There are a lot working who do not use gloves. Having attitude when saying can not use gloves however is not appreciated. In all honesty, I hate that I have to write this review because I actually like this nail salon. I've been there a couple of times and have had no complaints, but for New Year's Even I got my nails done and literally the next day they started chipping. (Picture 1) so I got annoyed and called to know if I could fix them, the lady I spoke to said yes I was not able to go in yesterday January 2nd so I went in today. The same guy who did my nails "fixed" them for me. 1) he was extremely impatient because he was filing his own nails, it was as if I was imposing. 2) he rushed me out of there, quite frankly I'm not even sure the gel he put on my nails was dried but he said I was good to go. TWO HOURS later (Picture 2) my nails started chipping AGAIN. That is really upsetting, I'm not sure if it's the polish they used but the least this nail tech could have done is provide the service I paid for. I've never really had a problem with this place. They keep things clean, they are nice. They do good work, and the prices are fair. But I have an issue when my female friend comes in and you are worried she is going to break the stool because she is "fat". Yes, my friend was 39 weeks pregnant and blew up into what I like to call 'Enormo'. This was hands down the worst nail salon I've ever been to. First off, it's operated like a sweat shop. All the employees are lined up in a one row...next, next next. Zero quality care, all about the money. I walked in and asked for a gel fill-in and when the man at the front desk greeted me, he said it would be $45..for a fill in? I told him that was too much when all the other nail salons in the area usually charge no more than $35. He tried to justify the price by saying my natural nail had grown too long and the space with too big..BS! I was ready to walk out (which I should have), when he said OK, we'll do it. I was assigned to a woman who began working on my nails like she had to be somewhere in 5 minutes. When all was said and done, she did a lousy job. Prior to applying polish, the surface of the my nails were rough and patchy, not shiny and smooth like all the other salons have always left them. I mentioned it and she said something in either mandarin or cantonese and the guy next to her shot me a look. It's very uncomfortable when the employees start talking about you and you have no idea what's being said about you. Not cool. I know I wasn't being a difficult customer because up until then, I did not utter one other word to her. Her polish job was not the neatest I've seen which I found surprising considering her specialty was nail designs. She walked me to the drying station and that was that. No chair massage like many other nail salons do and come to think of it, no cream or hand massage either. I noticed no one else was getting a chair massage either. I guess it's not their thing since it would be a total waste of time and money for them seeing it's operated like a factory and not like a nail salon should be. Price was not an option for me I know that if I want good work it's not cheap!! My sister came here first and had great things to say, I made an appointment for a filling and design. When I walked in I was asked what I wanted to get done, told them I had an appointment with Jane and I was getting a filling and a design, I showed them the design and I guess others have complained of pricing because they told me what the prices were and if I still wanted to get it done I smiled and let them know I am willing to pay for good work. I WOULD GIVE -5 STARS IF I COULD! The first time I made an appointment 5 days in advance for gel mani, reg pedi, and eyebrow wax. When I get there on time for my appt, I still waited 10 minutes. Fine...Then the area I was placed at was not clean. Okay...The tools used also did not look clean. UGH!...After gel mani, they said I still had to wait more for the pedi, looking me as if I had no appt for it - so I imagined how much more one has to wait after pedi for the wax. So I left because I had other engagements. Besides all that, I gave them a second chance. I went back to remove the gel mani, and did a regular mani and pedi. First, with the pedi, I was burned by the stones. SMFH...Then to take off the gel, she seemed not to know how to take it off because she's scraping the hek out of my nails with a filer!! Come to find out, she didn't even know I had gel on. Seriously?!!! Even though I had made the appt CLEARLY to REMOVE old GEL mani, then reg mani, reg pedi. I told her she needs to use the acetone to take gel off, she says no it's ok this way. OMG! Finally someone else came, noticed the horror story, and took over with the acetone to take off the gel. But! (((SIGH))), then they took so long to take off the acetone. All the while, I'm waving them down to take it off because I felt it was too long after the girl prior scraped the hek out of my nails, I JUST TOOK IT OFF MYSELF - and now this is what my nails look like 2 weeks later still. I've been going to nail salons doing manis and pedis since my teen years, and I am now in my forties. Never have I had such an experience or result with my nails like this. I only tried them because I'm new to the neighborhood. But now I will make the effort to go all the way back to my original nail salon.
