    The sunset!

Beautiful winery with tons of outdoor seating overlooking the San Pablo Bay. We found a Groupon for 2 tastings (regular price $15pp) which allowed us to try 6 wines each. There were 3 whites and 3 reds, and each person received 1 ounce of each. After we finished those, we also tried the bubbly tasting ($7pp). Everything we tried was fantastic! For a Friday night, it was surprisingly quiet. We had the entire balcony to ourselves from 6pm when we arrived to when they closed at 8pm. It was such a treat watching the sun set during an unseasonably warm October evening (around 90deg) and seeing the boats, trains, and ducks go by. Service was attentive. My only complaint is that the seating and tables are quite dirty - dusty with lots of cobwebs, some spiders. Happy to come back again!

I got a Groupon from them and loved it. Mainly because this place was the first place that I was able to go to with my husband, since COVID. We had a great time. I presented my coupon, got our pours in plastic glasses and left with a couple of bottles of wine. There was a musical group playing and the music was fun. They had a variety of seating options inside and out and you have to be quick because people are arriving and will unwittingly take the seat you had your eye on. We sat by where we had a place to look out at the "water." It's not Hawaii, but it was fun. We sipped wine, looked out at the bay and relaxed. There was a tiny breeze which was nice. They had a cute little craft fair and had some food. Please have food with you because the sips are tiny, yet powerful. So food is necessary. Please note that parking is not easy. The parking space is tiny. They are a Harvest Host site so there are a lot of RV's parked and they are arriving and leaving. I got the second to last parking space and I'm glad that I did. The interesting thing is that I had no idea that they existed. I've talked to friends who didn't know that this existed. I do want to say that they have good wine. However, this place isn't fancy like the usual wineries that I've seen. But it's good enough and that works for me.

What'd I say?! A five star rating was coming and here it is folks! This was such an unexpected treat and I'd happily come back here with a vengeance for thirst! The Great: - Indoor and outdoor seating - Nice view from the outside seating - Great service - You can rent out one of their quaint rooms - They have events there like yoga and I remember hearing about karaoke so check out their website - Plenty of parking - Prices are reasonable for the wine tasting Could Be Better: - I remember only a few of the wine samples I had that I liked; most of them were EH. This is such a cool place to do wine tasting. It was actually for my birthday and we went to a previous winery prior to here but it wasn't good so a friend of mine recommended this place. Thank goodness he did because coming here was definitely a highlight for the celebration of YOURS TRULY.

Four Fools is a local gem hidden in the sleepy, often forgotten town of Rodeo, CA. Don't be fooled by the optics as you drive down Parker to , it's worth the slight detour to take the exit to check out the vibe and scenery at Four Fools. The views are amazing, the staff is personable, and the wines are tasty and will please any palate. Crafts made by local artisans are usually available for sale, there are food truck events, live music, yoga classes, RV parking is available, light comestibles (they were testing the possibility of offering charcuterie boards on a recent visit), and did I mention the views? For locals Four Fools is an ideal place to visit for a few hours to unwind, release, and relax without a lengthy drive. I'm ecstatic that Four Fools survived COVID and look forward to seeing how it continues to grow.

Having lived in the nearby section of the East Bay my entire life, it was shocking when a friend offered for us to join at a very local winery. Right up until the point of parking, I was still skeptical; and then we were at Four Fools Winery. This winery is interesting in that, IMO it is good at a little bit of everything while no particular mastery. The location is not at all far from the water and so provides a nice view for those that want to pay attention. But nice is about it, factually there is no conversation level view like of the GGB or the SF skyline. But thats ok. Parking is on gravel so heel-wearers be cautious. The entrance is basic and local-feeling, not all flashy like other places roughly an hour or so northeast. The benefit of this though would be to support local artists and talent and to buy souvenirs and trinkets that reflect the local culture, not Am@z0n. Staff was kind and talkative to the amount you the patron wants to be talkative, they kinda match your energy. And of course, the wine. The flight was good. The wines differed in flavor and texture so that in itself is always interesting. But nothing jumped out to really grab attention, and the flight could have been a little larger. Again, rating of good. So why go to Four Fools Winery? Two reasons for me. One - proximity. For where we live, this is way closer than Napa, Sonoma, Livermore, Santa Rosa or anywhere else. Cutting traffic time, distance, bridges and gas makes a big impact. And the view is still good if not grande. Two - balance. One more star would come if Four Fools really excelled in one or two areas. Instead everything is "good". However there is a value in that. Nothing is bad, and with everything good there is a sense of basic balance which in itself is a plus. And we plan to go back ourselves, so good isn't an acronym for something lesser or negative. So don't be a fool and pass up this local discovery, be a fool for Four Fools and get in there for a relaxing good time.

Cool little spot with tasty wine. The location is low key next to a trailer park area near the water. Parking is spotty. Seating is mostly outdoors. The event, music, and vibe attended was excellent. A few recommendations for the owner would be to add an additional food option on event days (besides one which had long waits) AND remove the uncomfortable outside rocks on the floor of the hang out/walking area. Would go back on an event day since it is close to home and overall a decent little hang out spot.

What a great hidden gem in the small town, Rodeo. Not sure what it was before, but it seems like the rooms are either for someone's living or lodging. You'll have to park below the overpass and walk up to the winery. On summer nights, they have food trucks and live music on every 3rd Thursdays. They have great views of the water and the sunset. Limited seating inside but plenty around the patio and in the back by the stage. They sell some white and red wines that they make on their own. I tried their syrah and zinfindel, the zinfindel was pretty light and tasty. The crowd is interesting, a lot of older people just hanging out and socializing. They also have local vendors around which is always good to support local businesses. It's a great place to explore if you haven't already and the views are unbeatable.

Food Truck Thursday has bought people together at Four Fools Winery. With live music this place surely gets attention. I came here because Curbside Kitchen is there during Food Truck Thursday. It is a nice place to come over. Suggestion is to park on the street, not where Four Fools Winery.

Such a beautiful find! I love the scenery. We did some wine tasting. Service was great. You can order in food from surrounding restaurants or bring your own. Order wine by the glass or bottle. Truly a treat.

Once a month, during the summer, the winery is opening for Food Truck Thursday. There have been 4 trucks and a cupcake stand each time we come here for this event. There isn't room for more; the winery shares the space with a boat storage area. They have had a live band playing in the event area each time we have come here. There is face painting for kids, a few community groups selling water and such, and of course, the wine is available by the glass or bottle. See my review below for more on the wines. What I like about this event other than good food and wine is I am able to sit on the patio or deck and look at the water and see boats and ships go by. If I'm lucky the peacock and the peahen will wander by they are not afraid of people. It is more enjoyable than sitting a table on the street at other food truck events. I like enjoying my wine where I can relax and not feel I have to swirl my glass and make just the right comments about the wine. Parking can be a problem the winery shares a space with a boat yard, however, there is parking available at the marina

    Where Harvest Host guests park.

Well I guess the joke was on us! This Harvest Host location was a complete bust. Arrived in Rodeo, CA to stay at a Winery; I think it was a white label winery because when asked where their vineyards were, server answered "We source from many different vineyards." Plus I couldn't see anywhere in this warehouse boatyard where they would bottle. Maybe somewhere else? It was 95 and humid as we pulled into this dusty lot full of old boats and loads of old rvs and trailers, the server came out to show us where to park overlooking the bay. There were seven other harvest host guests also staying in the lot. Most we didn't see cause they were in their rigs with the ac on. They had a two tables in the shade; ours was around the corner with no breeze. We were not served any ice water and no misters were on probably because of Covid. I thought I would pass out in that heat but like good sports and to contribute to his business ... we went through with part of the wine tasting. Tastings were $10 each person, about seven bottles opened; we had four sips and left. The first three whites were mediocre; the fourth a Grenache was so high in alcohol that once I took a whiff...I dumped it out. The owner was friendly enough and he told us that people often ask to stay an additional night, which he charges $40 per as he said "there are no other places to stay around the bay." We had a passenger rail train about 50 yards from our RV that ran all through the night! Motorcycles riding down a dirt road to the water's edge. Everything was quite loud because later on in the night we had to open our RV windows.

Made a Yelp account just to leave this review!…read more We went to Great Bear Vineyards for their Valentine's day Chocolate and Wine tasting and had a wonderful time. Their chocolate/wine pairings complemented beautifully together and left us savoring each individual flavor. Afterwards we were visited by Jenny, a winemaker who noticed our cups were empty and offered us more wine to taste. Overall, a very pleasant and romantic experience. Would love to visit again in better weather (and when the grapes are in season)!

Our…read moreoriginal plan was just to stop by for a glass of wine, but we weren't really asked what option we preferred and were automatically charged for a wine tasting. I'm guessing wine tastings are mainly what the vineyard offers, but it would've been nice to have the choice explained first. This is where my 2/5 stars comes in. They only had one person serving about 12 tables. My party was only a group of 2, but there were other tables with groups as large as 9 people. It literally took 25 minutes to receive my second pour, and the only reason we got it was because I had to remind the staff. I think having at least two people pouring wine would make the experience much smoother. Upon arrival, they also have a small parking area for non-reserved parking. Luckily, we were able to find a close spot. As for the restroom, personally I'm not a fan of unisex bathrooms, and they also did not have seat covers available. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the service and organization could definitely be improved. Apart from all this, I have visited multiple wineries in Livermore, which is closer to the Bay Area, and their wine bottles are much cheaper. Their wine tasting options are also more affordable. This is just my personal experience and opinion overall I don't think I would consider coming back.
