We had the privilege of having our wedding at Bhachu Vineyards recently and if I could give a 100 stars, I would. The property is magical and my husband and I feel so fortunate that we were able to have our ceremony and reception there. Not only is the venue beautiful, Barbara and Dave Bhachu are the most gracious and generous owners/hosts you could ever work with. They went above and beyond in responding to questions, offering suggestions and directing and assisting on the day of the event. This is a place I selfishly want to keep secret but I also want to provide the most glowing recommendation because it was the perfect setting for our special day. For the past 4 years, Bhachu Vineyards has become my go-to East Bay wine tasting experience, especially for my birthday celebrations. Dave and Barbara are incredible hosts, offering an impressive spread of snacks, great conversation, and of course, delicious red wine. My favorites are the 2021 Zinfandel and 2018 Merlot, which I always purchase after the tasting. Their property has stunning views with meticulously groomed landscaping. Absolutely stellar. Dave and Barbara are the consummate hosts. They offer their property with kindness and graciousness, and are a pleasure to work with. They hosted our wedding and everyone gushed about how beautiful the venue was. The grounds are immaculately groomed and tastefully decorated with original art. The views are simply inspirational, spanning from Suisun Bay to Mount Diablo, with rolling hills and oak trees in between, and the Bhachu vineyard in the foreground. If I can give this review more than 5 stars, I definitely will!!!! First of, we really would like to thank Dave and Barbara for welcoming us to their home and letting us celebrate our special day in their property. Having to postpone our wedding 3x due to covid was very stressful and very challenging! I first came across Bhachu Vineyards from my cousin's IG stories back in Oct 2019, she was a bridesmaid to a wedding and the venue just caught my attention right away. I went and googled their contact info thru their website and in Nov 2019, I reached out to Barbara to inquire for availability. Unfortunately our original wedding date (June 26, 2021) was already booked so we decided to wait on how things will work out with covid. Finally, on Feb 2021, we decided to postpone our June wedding to Oct 2nd and decided to schedule a tour with Barbara as soon as I found out that the venue is still available. I knew from the moment we stepped into their property, it was all meant to be. Barbara was super welcoming and she was supeeeeer nice! As soon as we went back to the car at the end of the tour, it wasn't even a question! We booked Bhachu Vineyards as our official wedding venue within 10mins of leaving and we couldn't be more happier with our decision! From short notice with change of venue (Feb to Oct), surprisingly, all of our vendors were able to move our dates with no hassles and things just fell into the right places! We realized and understood why our original plan didn't go through, it's all about the right moment and THE right venue. Fast forward to our wedding day, it was indeed a fairytale dream come true!!!! My vision was all brought into reality. The venue was sooo perfect, the weather was perfect, everything was perfect. We definitely had an epic wedding!!! It is no exaggeration to say that the Bhachus saved our wedding. Our first venue told us, less than 6 months before our wedding date, that they may not be able to host us due to renovations with no clear timeline. We called our caterer to inform him of the situation, and he called the Bhachus who graciously allowed us to have our ceremony and reception on their property. When we toured the venue, Barbara walked alongside us and got to know us while simultaneously addressing any questions we had and calming our nerves about such a big change so late in the planning process. The wine tasting that we had with the Bhachus a few weeks before the wedding was truly a highlight of the entire wedding experience as they welcomed us into the cabana with the utmost hospitality. On the day of the wedding, Barbara and Dave demonstrated that same hospitality to our family and friends. The entire day they were present both celebrating with us and checking in on us to ensure that all the details of the day were carried out exactly as we planned. Many of our guests commented how they were not only blown away by the views of the property, but also on how the kindness of the Bhachus truly went above and beyond their role as the host. I couldn't have picked a better venue or better host! You feel like you are with your family and feel right at home. On the day of my wedding I feel so comforted and relaxed. Even right before the wedding was supposed to begin the rain decided to join us for a little bit and Barbara and many others jumped into to get the chairs and tables dry, amazing! I also highly recommend Juan as you cater for this venue, he knows the space extremely well and the food is amazing! Finally I also recommend getting Mirella as your wedding planner! She coordinated with all the vendors wonderfully and left me to be able to just enjoy my day! =) read more

Bhachu Vineyards is the most amazing wedding venue around. If you're lucky enough to find an open date that works, book it - you will be so glad you did! We hosted our wedding on July 30. It was a perfect day! I could not have asked for a more beautiful garden setting for the ceremony, with the coolest walk a bride could take, on a path through the trees, sun shining through - the pictures' are amazing. We chose the garden are for cocktails, using the deck for family photos with a gorgeous backdrop. Then we has the party walk behind the house to the reeption area. I have had more than one guest tell me the view and the setting walking into the reception area was the best they have ever seen. Barbara and Dave are gracious hosts, going out of their way to make sure the day runs smoothly. We can't thank them enough for everything throughout the planning process. We had beautiful weather, although a tad cool for mid-summer, and Dave worked hard dragging over extra heaters to make sure our Moms were warm. Good news we didn't need them long - the evening was absolutely beautiful. The venue is so unique. We looked at a couple of golf courses and more traditional wedding venues first, then fell in love with Bhachu. It's truly magical and so much more than I could have imagined for our special day. I booked with Bhachu after my first choice of wedding venues ended up closing down due to Covid. Elisa's catering was my caterer of choice and he had reached out to me about also hosting at Bhachu. My husband and I (fiancé at the time) went to view the property and we fell in love. Bhachu is in the Martínez hills, overlooking Mt. Diablo and the Bay Area. It's a private vineyard with grape vines all around the property as well as a little bit of an enchanted forest. Bhachu Vineyards is a very romantic and secluded location with many scenic views for wedding photos. In every direction, there was an opportunity for another beautiful photo. When I booked with Bhachu via Elisa's catering company, the whole wedding setup/cleanup, bartenders, catering, wedding planning were all inclusive with one another. We paid to use the property for the day, there are different price tiers depending on the number of guests you invite & then you pay for the catering and everything was pretty much taken care of. They always ordered the rentals, we used the day of. They made wedding planning so easy for me & all of my guests were telling us all day and night how "over the top" we went. However, with the pricing of Bhachu, I feel like we didn't go over the top, I guess because it came together beautifully and was a beautiful place, people thought we spent so much money on it. I saved $10K after switching to Bhachu compared to what the last place was charging me and Bhachu was a much more nicer place than the last venue. If anyone were to have an event and asked me if I knew a place, I'm forever going to say Bhachu Vineyards!!! read more

Had such a great time this past Mother's Day weekend at Bhachu Vineyards! I didn't realize there were wineries in Martinez, but this one in particular is truly a gem. Dave & Barbara provide excellent service, an inviting atmosphere, and are a sweet & fun couple to hang out with. We went with 3 other families and it was the perfect place to enjoy our time together. This is a follow up to the review I wrote in December 2021 about choosing Bhachu Vineyards as the venue for a milestone birthday cocktail and dinner party I was planning. I certainly made the right choice! My experience with Barbara and Dave Bhachu throughout the several months of party planning was exceptional. Barbara was accessible and there to help me at every point along the way, with the logistical details of the various tables and chairs she could provide, meeting with me several time to walk through the set up, and advising me on all sorts of party logistics. Barbara and Dave even helped me to assemble my party favor bags and to affix the custom labels I'd had printed to the Bhachu Olive Oil bottles I included in the favor bags. I had no idea I could expect this level of generous full service, but Barbara and Dave volunteered it and provided it happily and graciously. On the day of the party Barbara accepted the cake delivery, helped the florist unload the arrangements and place them on the cocktail and dinner tables, coordinated with the caterer, made sure the speakers were working for the music, and generally paid attention to the type of details that a party planner would have been responsible for. When it got chilly, Dave made sure the firepits were lit and the heaters were moved to the lawn and turned on. They both ensured that my party went perfectly. And finally, I must mention the Bhachu wine! I served the Zinfandel and the Cabernet and they were so popular with my guests we had to pull out extra bottles of both. Plus, some of the tried and true (hard to impress) Zinfandel drinkers at the party commented on how exceptional the Zin was. I can't imagine a better venue, planning experience and birthday party than the one the I had at Bhachu Vineyards, which Barbara and Dave helped ensure was fun, memorable and beautiful. My wedding at Bhachu Vineyards was absolute perfection. Barbara and Dave were so incredibly friendly and accommodating. They answered all my questions during the planning, gave me plenty of suggestions based on their experience, and really made sure that I had all my bases covered so that the day ran without a hitch. Even on the day of the wedding when it was raining in the morning (and I was freaking out of course), Barbara and Dave were out there wiping down all of the tables and chairs as soon as the rain stopped. One of the best wine tasting experiences I've had in a long time! After discovering the winery through a random google search, my friends and I decided to take a chance on Bhachu Vineyards for a birthday celebration. Bhachu sits atop a hill, and while the views are breathtaking, the grounds of the property are also stunning. Barbara and Dave are the owners and winemakers, and were the most welcoming hosts to our group. It's apparent that Barbara and Dave truly care about their guests' experience, as they were friendly, attentive, as well as quality wine producers. They offered a flight of 4 red wines along with a lovely charcuterie board. We ended up purchasing the merlot and "Sylvia's" blend, plus a bottle of their delicious olive oil that they also produce on site. Bhachu is a new favorite! read more

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we had to make a pretty last-minute change in venue for our wedding and Bhachu was the venue we pivoted toward. And holy cow, thank the wedding gods we did. Not only is their wine incredible (we got the zin and red blend), but the location is absolute perfection. Views are stunning, the flow the property just makes sense, the landscaping is beautiful and they also include great patio lighting. We had could not have asked for a better spot to get married. Deborah and I chose Bhachu Vineyards for our wedding venue after the first five minutes of our wine tasting visit. Their four red wine offerings are the best in the county and it was important for us to serve a quality product. Barbara and Dave were so very warm and welcoming and we knew they would be fantastic hosts. The beauty of the well kept grounds was breathtaking with several different areas for the ceremony and reception. You could not find a better place to hold an event such as a wedding or party than Bhachu Vineyards. We had a birthday party there for about 50 people. The grounds are stunning with views of the bay, Mt Diablo, and beautiful vineyards. The landscaping is spectacular and includes a redwood grove, beautiful lawns and fruit trees. We used one part of the venue for cocktails and appetizers and one part for a buffet dinner. It was very charming to have two areas for the event. The owners Barbara and Dave are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure your event is a success. They can recommend a great caterer to complete the package. All of our guests said that this venue was one of the best they have ever seen in the bay area. All of the facilities, restrooms, etc. are first class. This is a MUST! Almost don't want to share it with others! A great hidden gem in the heart of the Alhambra Valley! My husband and I were looking for a great local place to try some wine (without having to drive all the way to Napa/Sonoma) and (enjoy the views of Mt. Diablo) we stumbled across Bhachu Vineyards! Barbara and Dave were the most amazing people to work with. They were incredibly hospitable and generous with their time and home. They accommodated us every step of the way and made the entire wedding process so much fun. We honestly could not have asked for two nicer more down to earth people to work with as the venue for our wedding. They would go out of their way constantly to make sure we were happy with them and their venue/home. One of our favorite parts of the process in working with them was the wine tasting they hosted under the gazebo which was our original wedding location. They allowed us to bring family and we were able to make an afternoon of it with Dave even opening a newly bottled bottle of wine. They also walked us through a lot of the wine making process. This venue is truly a gem and has so much to offer and it was just so special to not only find this venue but work with people who were so wonderful. Another aspect of the venue we loved was being able to incorporate parts of the property into our wedding.
