I actually forgot my own shampoo/conditioner and soap, but I wouldn't hesitate to use these again. In fact, since I may be traveling back to this hotel, I wouldn't even bother bringing my own. Might as well save some space in the luggage. It was great to have a little Starbucks in the lobby, it's not what you'd expect from a normal Starbucks, but it was the same coffee and they had a mini of the same food products. I enjoyed the avocado toast and a colleague of mine ordered the breakfast burrito. We both enjoyed them. And the staff that managed this area was extremely friendly. In the evenings, I didn't notice if they served food, but we did stop and share a pint before calling it for the night. Many other travelers used it to hang out and catch up, we even saw some people bring their own board games. The only issue I had during the entire stay was apparently I had the only room with a tree branch that proceeded to scrape against the window and cause a horrible sound inside. It would've been nice if somebody would've come to check it out rather than giving me the only option of packing up my belongings and moving them to a new room, I was too tired and not interested in doing that, so I ended up sucking it up. Hopefully they resolve this for the next person, but it looks to me like this overgrowth has been there for a little while. I would recommend The hotel as it's in a great location for this area and it was a comfortable stay...

The hotel is located off of a highway in Linda rural NJ, and there are no other restaurants or amenities next to it. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant, but does offer free breakfast. Food delivery apps choices are limited. They have a nice patio area where you can bring your own items to grill. We had a suite with a stove and refrigerator and a pull-out bed, but while things seemed new-ish, everything was way too cramped for the small space. A young man by the name of Ahmed was working the front desk, and he graciously assigned us just the type of room we needed (even though our reservation defaulted to a king bed). He was super friendly and I can't thank him enough for accompanying our needs. It really made the difference from a terrible night's sleep for all of us or the great one that we had. The suite was clean and very spacious and comfortable. A modern feel, nicely appointed. A full kitchen with full size fridge too. The beds were super comfortable with clean, comfy sheets. We could have used a few extra pillows (there were 3 per bed but each of us needed two), but we probably could have called and asked for them. The lobby and halls smelled so clean and fresh. They probably use one of those hotel air fragrances, and it really makes it all the more inviting. The only notes for improvement would be to the breakfast offerings. They have these pre-packaged waffles you can toast but they're French style so they're very very sweet. Would have preferred either a pancake or waffle maker to make our own. They had little mini-muffin sized egg/spinach bites. The bread/pastry options were also a bit limited. I've just had better breakfast offerings at other similar hotel chains elsewhere. But overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a clean as comfortable night stay. Thank you again, Ahmed!

Subtle. 2nd course- 9 hour braised Short Rib. i'm the one that usually gets this although my husband did and I have to say it's some of the best short ribs I've ever put into my mouth. The polenta was cooked to perfection. I made a very loud yummy sound when I tasted his meal. I ordered the lamb 3 generous lollipop lamb chops and felt no shame as I gnawed at my bones. Temperature perfect, the sauce!!! and the carrots julienned with the best spice and maybe a pinch of brown sugar (tried guessing because it was so good, these were not carrots ! So much more. And a purple potato mash that was ... I mean everything was beyond our hopes. We chose the fresh fruit desert that had a very unusual combination, 2 of which I'd never had before. I'm now a convert. We were served by Tracy clearly and expert (warm but not making herself the focus) with Brady in training and already up to speed. Some things I noticed. When food came out the whole kitchen came out and served everybody at once! How refreshing to see that. All servers were attentive and paying attention to the entire room. No one felt unnoticed and forgotten. The wonderful woman behind the desk at the entryway, took us on a tour of the event space with complete joy and enthusiasm. She didn't seem put out at all in fact I wanted to just hang out with her for a while. So welcoming. The second we walked in the door everyone said hello to us as if they had known us for years! We just moved here. We had never been there in our lives. The property is perfectly maintained, makes quite a statement, and the new converted barn was my dream barn. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet all the sheep on the property. If any guests come to visit us in our new home in French Town, we're going to recommend they stay there in one of the cottages possibly or the in itself so that they can have the ultimate comfort and the elegance. They would expect in an overnight that I fear, our guest room will not lend itself to. I want to get married again so I can get married there! I want to eat there once a week! Gratitude to my niece who we asked for a recommendation of where we should eat for a nice meal to celebrate my husband, after a big achievement. She has lived here for three years and as a trained nutritionist and chef herself. She said the only place you should go is the Woolverton Inn and its New Restaurant. She will be receiving a gift! Lastly, I was so overwhelmed upon entering the restored barn that I forgot the name of the elegant man who received us with such grace. He's a gracious host and constantly circulated the room keeping an eye on the flow with light personnel suggestions ( potato soup with lobster next time! I promise) and birthday wishes for a large families grandmother. Go, enjoy, stay there, eat there, bring friends there! Bon apetite!

When I checked in Saturday night after a very long travel day at 12 midnight, the night front desk attendant could see my reservation in the system but he said it wasn't confirmed and my card was declined. I showed him proof of the confirmation numbers and the credit card's successful charge, and he still would not honor my reservation. He asked for the card I used to make the reservation and then said he needed it for incidentals. I gave it to him and he swiped it, then he gave me a room key. The next morning after I checkout out, I got a text message from my credit card company asking me if I authorized a second charge for Hampton Inn. He used the card swipe to charge me a second time for the room rate. I called Priceline and after 25 minutes, they said they contacted Hampton and they would look into it. Then Priceline asked me to email them all the documentation, and I instead just disputed the charge with my cc company. I did not authorize this night front desk attendant to charge me for a room I already paid for; I only gave him my card for incidentals (of which there were none), and he unscrupulously charged my card. He should have just taken my information and had a manager speak to me in the morning, since I provided 3 types of proof of purchase/confirmation that the room was indeed booked and paid for. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was recently remodeled and clean/modern. Cleaning crew was also quite loud starting at 7am, so it did disturb my sleep (despite the do not disturb sign on the doorknob) when I really needed it. The hotel rate was over $200 for the middle of NJ on a Saturday night in August so it wasn't a great value to begin with. Just didn't have a good transactional experience with my reservation at the front desk, and I should never have been charged a second time and certainly not without my consent or authorization. Thus I can't give more than a single star.

I've had their breakfast. It's OK. The last two stays had a couple of issues, the heating wasn't working the greatest the first night. Kind of hit or miss. My 2nd stay, however, I got to the room and it had clearly only been partially cleaned. The bed was clean. The shower/toiler was clean. However, there was leftover food in the mini fridge, there was a used coffee cup, partially full, on the desk and another on the bathroom counter. In the bathroom, although it had generally been cleaned, there were also two dirty washcloths in the sink. I had gotten in late and honestly did not feel like dealing with anything so threw away the things that needed thrown away and called it a night. It's convenient and it is what it is. The beds are incredibly comfortable, it's not noisy, and it's very convenient if you need to be in the Flemington area. It's also not necessarily the cleanest or best maintained hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes, but don't pay too much, if the rates are high, go somewhere else.

I photographed them and brought the photos to the front desk. The attendant was helpful and told us this happens occasionally, that the room would be quarantined and an exterminator would treat it. We were moved to another room. We threw out food, coolers, and packaging that had been in the kitchen, and repacked the rest of our belongings slowly and carefully. One of the kitchen drawers had staining consistent with a previously cleaned pest problem. I called several times for follow-up and was eventually put through to the general manager. He was dismissive. He said repeatedly that they don't have this kind of problem, that staff looked and found nothing, and questioned whether what I photographed were even cockroaches. That directly contradicts what his own front desk told me about quarantine and extermination. He gave no indication the room would be treated or taken out of service. I have stayed with Marriott almost exclusively for years and have held Gold, Platinum, and Titanium status. No refund or compensation was offered, and no acknowledgment that anything happened. This is repulsive, and I expected far more from Marriott and Residence Inn.

The house is quite large and with the barn also accessible, there's no issue finding a quiet spot for reading or even listening to music with a glass of wine using the Sonos music system (even available in the barn!). The wedding venue is a beautiful place if you are looking to have a rustic barn wedding. It was really the PERFECT venue for the couple getting married.

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!
