This is one of the best managed and cleanest Hilton properties i have been at (1 of 4) in the past 1.5 months of my travels. The rooms are freshly renovated, which isn't even shown online as of yet & is a surprise when you arrive! Plus, the dining area / restaurant that is available for breakfast has a pleasant & comfy feeling for eating alone or with friends / family. Benny, the front manager, was available when i checked in (fortunately!). He is extremely knowledgeable regarding hotel management & how to manage 3rd party bookings. The agent i booked thru hadn't sent my reservations through by the time i had arrived. He calmly explained the process because i was annoyed with the company. He took his time, found a number to contact them & called. He talked through the issue (they had forgotten a step to provide the hotel a required booking number) with the clerk on the phone & helped her push my confirmation number thru. This was above & beyond customer service - i should have been the one to talk to the agent since it's my booking. And to also watch Benny help this representative in the Philippines do her own job by walking her thru the steps so that she was able to push the reservation thru was quite impressive. He knew how & helped this woman do her job in another country! And he spoke in Tagalog at points she couldn't understand English words. Impressive, Benny! You are a world class manager. And what a kind gentleman on the phone. My hero (& the agency rep woman) for a day! Good job, bud. read more

I booked a room on Priceline. I had the Hampton confirmation number, the Priceline confirmation number, and proof of charge to my credit card. When I checked in Saturday night after a very long travel day at 12 midnight, the night front desk attendant could see my reservation in the system but he said it wasn't confirmed and my card was declined. I showed him proof of the confirmation numbers and the credit card's successful charge, and he still would not honor my reservation. He asked for the card I used to make the reservation and then said he needed it for incidentals. I gave it to him and he swiped it, then he gave me a room key. The next morning after I checkout out, I got a text message from my credit card company asking me if I authorized a second charge for Hampton Inn. He used the card swipe to charge me a second time for the room rate. I called Priceline and after 25 minutes, they said they contacted Hampton and they would look into it. Then Priceline asked me to email them all the documentation, and I instead just disputed the charge with my cc company. I did not authorize this night front desk attendant to charge me for a room I already paid for; I only gave him my card for incidentals (of which there were none), and he unscrupulously charged my card. He should have just taken my information and had a manager speak to me in the morning, since I provided 3 types of proof of purchase/confirmation that the room was indeed booked and paid for. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was recently remodeled and clean/modern. Cleaning crew was also quite loud starting at 7am, so it did disturb my sleep (despite the do not disturb sign on the doorknob) when I really needed it. The hotel rate was over $200 for the middle of NJ on a Saturday night in August so it wasn't a great value to begin with. Just didn't have a good transactional experience with my reservation at the front desk, and I should never have been charged a second time and certainly not without my consent or authorization. I've stayed here overnight twice in the past two weeks. The beds are very comfortable and it's convenient for me when I need to stay overnight for work. The hotel itself is relatively clean. I've had their breakfast. It's OK. The last two stays had a couple of issues, the heating wasn't working the greatest the first night. Kind of hit or miss. My 2nd stay, however, I got to the room and it had clearly only been partially cleaned. The bed was clean. The shower/toiler was clean. However, there was leftover food in the mini fridge, there was a used coffee cup, partially full, on the desk and another on the bathroom counter. In the bathroom, although it had generally been cleaned, there were also two dirty washcloths in the sink. I had gotten in late and honestly did not feel like dealing with anything so threw away the things that needed thrown away and called it a night. It's convenient and it is what it is. The beds are incredibly comfortable, it's not noisy, and it's very convenient if you need to be in the Flemington area. It's also not necessarily the cleanest or best maintained hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes, but don't pay too much, if the rates are high, go somewhere else. read more

This place is just fine. But I felt that paying a tad over 200 a night for just fine didn't do it for me. The room was depressing. Lighting was terrible. Each bulb had a different tone. So some were disgusting white like a hospital room, and others were normal tones. I had to move bulbs around so I had okay lighting at bedside lights. Don't love doing minor housekeeping while paying 200 a night. In addition to the lighting - the room was painted a terrible grey color, I just don't see why they landed on this. It felt like a paint color you would get free from the government. Also the room stayed in had the WORST VIEW POSSIBLE , it was behind the main sign in the entrance of the building (on second floor). It was the equivalent of not having a window because we were also facing the busiest part of the hotel so we had to keep our shades down. The windows don't open either which drives me crazy. The AC worked well in that it definitely could get really cold. But it was frustrating because once it reached the temperature set - it shuts off for a really long time until it gets hot again. Usually I feel these AC units either lower their fan speed or maintain their temperature somewhat. It was either freezing cold or not on. So just felt like it could be better. It was also quite loud even in low mode. The bed was clean. Stay away from the chairs next to the bed. I found corn chip under the cushion when I was checking for bed bugs. (Of course found zero evidence, this would be a much different review if I had). I don't think the cushioned chair had ever been cleaned which is a gross thought. Felt like a gross and hard material to clean. I think if they had different chairs it would make sense. The bathroom was very clean. No complaints there. Only complaint was the hair dryer was in a bag instead of being mounted to the wall. There was no place to put it down in the bathroom too so was just an annoying step to have to take out of a bag. The tv was large but was quite outdated. Only cable, no Netflix or Chrome cast. What was extra frustrating is I scanned the QR code for the directory and it said the hotel had Netflix and Showtime! Felt like maybe other rooms were getting it and not mine. Also, a lot of the very few channels listed were not even available - listed as they needed to contact the company to get the package! Super lame! Don't advertise that you have 40 something channels on your TV if you're not paying the bills . Breakfast was completely standard. FYI Zero non dairy milks. Pool was fine, but HOT TUB WAS BROKEN! And I found a review on google that listed it was broken over a year ago they need to stop advertising they have it! Also the keycards didn't work for the pool which they admit is an error that was beyond them and the keycard system. Underlining that my subpar view of this location has nothing to do with the staff and managers on location. They were nothing but nice and I watched them and the cleaning crew work very hard. My issues are kind of more from the top down. I feel as though there were a lot of short sided decisions that lead to this experience feeling much cheaper than it needs to be. If they just tweaked a couple of things like coats of paint, lightbulbs, and better TVs. I would have left feeling like I got what I payed for. read more

Enjoyed the stay. Rather clean, updated, quiet, nice staff. Nice set up in the room. The bed was higher than an average so any short folks may have a problem getting in/out. Although it was a rather fluffy/puffy bed fir a good nights sleep,still not my own so I still had a little bit of back stiffness upon waking. Breakfast was the usual basic filling items (cold cereal, juices, waffle, muffins) but it was a clean and appealing area. Unfortunately the hot tub was shut down (which we were looking forward to using) and the hand sanitizer posts through out the building were empty and not too clean. The pillows were awful... unless you like mushy pillows that go flat. I used the gym one day... it was decent, yet didn't have music or a TV. I had an issue with my booking where I was supposed to stay 4 nights but had two reservations, one for 3 nights and one for 1 night. I had asked before the time if I could stay in the same room. I was told Saturday night, no I'd have to re check in. As I was trying to check out Sunday morning I was told I did not have to change rooms so I had to put all my stuff in their back room for work as I had a ride waiting and had already packed it all and could not go back upstairs. At some point when I left Sunday after being told I'd have the same room, my phone charger went missing. I went downstairs thinking the cleaning service probably took it thinking I was leaving. The downstairs apparently does not have access to lost items...so how can people retrieve them?!? Only the cleaning service has access??? What if I had a flight planned tonight and could not retrieve my items...absolutely wild. Anyway turns out my charger was at the front desk after he was trying to look for an alternative for me as I would not be able to charge my phone. Prior to this he went into the back room where they store luggage, which I had just been in 10 minutes prior to retrieve my items and I held the door open for him as he looked to see if maybe I spotted it inside and he rudely told me to shut the door as I was not allowed in there. I complied but did not need the attitude as the hotel was the one at fault, I did not enter the room, and had just been in there freely. The staff needs to communicate better and the managers need better protocols for issues here. read more

Visited the area about a month ago and chose this location for our one night stay due to its proximity to the medical center 2 miles away and mostly decent reviews. It looked like the lobby area was under repair or reno because the drywall was cut out and beams were exposed. I meant to ask what happened but didn't get around to it. Our room was clean and comfy, but most of the pillows on the bed were so soft and flimsy they felt like mostly air. I usually use an adjustable bed due to some back issues, so my guy went and got all the extra pillows he could carry so I could get myself situated for the night. We were told our room was a handicapped room, so I expected to see a shower only without a lip on the floor (easy for a wheelchair to roll in), so I was surprised to see the oversized tub instead. It reminded me of the "roman soaking tub" I had years ago, but it wasn't as deep and didn't have the jets. Breakfast was about the typical hotel breakfast with the typical wait for making waffles, but it was OK. I'm not really sure what was up with the bagel-bite type things. They looked dry and I ended up not trying it even though I had it on the plate. I stuck with eggs, yogurt, and waffle with juice to wash it down. Took a waffle and some fruit back to the room for the SO. When we checked out. I was looking for a place to refill my water bottle. Turns out, the dispenser in the gym was empty, but a manager let me use the fountain at the pool area. I appreciated the extra effort for him taking a moment to walk there with me to let me in, since my key wasn't working anymore. If we're ever back in the area again, I would definitely be comfortable returning here. read more

Pretty nice Hampton Inn. There is plenty of parking, the room was clean and the free breakfast was good. It was super busy the weekend I was there but staff were still friendly and helpful. As a gold HHonors member, I usually get a choice of a snack or some points but I didn't get offered either at this Hampton Inn. Maybe because there were busy. There was a display right on the counter saying how Gold and Platinum members get a choice of snack but it was not meant to be. The location is great; it's right off 202 and you can be in New Hope in 20 minutes. The bed was very comfortable and I liked the water pressure in the shower. Coffee is also tasty! read more

8/7 - ALL facilities in this hotel are closed till further notice . DO NOT book this hotel if you have children ! Not only was the pool, fitness center and I-hop closed ; the ice machine was broken and their were prostitutes coming and going in the room next to us. The front desk was zero help and there was NO manager on site ! This is an unacceptable way to run any facility ! We literally were stuck in a hotel with nothing todo and no where Togo. We stayed here on July 14th and 15th, 2023. We were disappointed that this Hampton did not live up to the standards that we've come to expect at Hilton properties, as we are Hilton Honors Members!! The lobby is still under going renovations and not a pleasant sight to walk into!! Our room had comfortable beds and a spacious closet but there was insufficient lighting in the desk area. Also ,the shower was large but not equipped with any shelves for soaps and shampoos. Our Saturday morning breakfast buffet was wonderful but on Sunday morning they ran out of most items before 9am. read more

This hotel is wonderful. Very clean room and the staff is very friendly. My husband and I were very impressed with Harold who takes care of the morning breakfast. He was so pleasant! We witnessed him bringing food to a senior in a wheelchair and taking time to put salt and pepper on her eggs. It was beautiful to see such compassion displayed in spite of of a rude guest who was annoyed and impatient for more sausage after hogging the waffle maker with more than one serving at a time. Kudos to Harold who handled this jerk with grace without losing his cool. read more

We have stayed at Hampton Inns up and down the east coast. It's always been our preferred hotel chain when we travel. Usually they exceed our expectations, this one however did not, but it was still a decent hotel. First off it had documented cases of bed bugs. HAD being the key word. A quick internet search will provide more than one review with mention of having had a bed bug experience here. The staff admits to it, and coincides with the time frame of the reviews that it was a few years ago. They have since resolved the problem and as a precaution I'm told they had bed bug sniffing dogs. That put my mind at rest enough to book here thru Hotels.com due to their liberal cancellation policy and to be on alert more than usual. The two girls working the second shift at the front desk were exceptional. They were friendly and helpful and talking with them was like talking to an old friend and I appreciated that. The lobby and breakfast area was beautiful. I loved the decor and the color scheme was one of my favorites. Everything upon entry looked newly remodeled. I expected that same look and newness to carry on to the rooms, however it did not. I was so thirsty from the long drive and was so looking forward to the ice water that is usually present in the lobby. Sadly they had none, only complimentary coffee...but what I really wanted was a cold glass of water. Bummer! Don't get me wrong, our room was nice, although smaller, and it was probably very tasteful.......in 1994. We didn't have a closet, instead a long row of heavy dark furniture lined up side to side that took up an entire wall. A microwave stand, huge armoire, dresser, and a low dresser all in one continuous line. It really dragged down the room. We also didn't have a desk like most Hampton rooms do, but instead a small table and two chairs. The bedding was clean and fresh and we immediately pulled off all the sheets and mattress covers and checked for evidence of bed bugs. None was found. The bathroom was dated but clean and I did like the layout with the corner vanity as it provided more room. There is an Ihop adjoining the property and it was close to a major roadway with lots of dining and shopping options. This town has a few traffic circles (hate em!) but other than that the location was great and centrally located. Shortly after our check in I started to discover some things that disappointed me. A grape and M & M was found on the floor so vacuuming was not done well. They stayed there the entire weekend. The room was dark and the drapery was drab and ugly. The shower head didn't have a long enough neck so you had to stand immediately underneath it. There weren't enough outlets in the room. The outlet in the bathroom had some sort of issue and didn't hold a plug See pic) . We had to get maintenance to provide us with an extension cord and pull out the furniture so we could access one near a mirror for my hair appliance. Other disappointments was the lack of a cable tv guide, as well as a binder telling us about the area and providing local menus. The front desk did let us use their menu's but it would have been nice not to have to walk out there which was our only choice since our phone didn't work either. I also missed the customary wooden tray that Hampton always has in their rooms for eating in bed. It would have been handy for this trip, especially since we were traveling with a toddler who liked to watch tv while eating in bed. There wasn't a business center which we always appreciate to print back up directions in the event our phones lose service (which they do often). The one bed was also so close to the wall that it would have made more sense just to push it up against the wall instead of leaving a small crack, just enough for a concern that a child could fall down there. On the plus side this location had a pool and a jacuzzi which we enjoyed. That area was dated but clean. The hallways and public rest rooms were clean, as was the breakfast area. Breakfast was good and free and we liked the selections. The staff overseeing breakfast were very nice as well. Overall I think the staff really does a good job. So while this wasn't my favorite Hampton it could be if they stepped things up a notch and were more in line with the other Hamptons. But be vigilant and ask and check for those bed bugs, every time. read more

Not the most friendly front desk and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have attempted to sleep on in years. I tossed and turned in pain most of the night. The hotel is generally quiet and clean. Staff is nice and helpful. However, many things are not available. I checked in from the Hilton app one day before arrival and chose a top floor room. When we arrived at 5:15pm, our room was still not ready. They gave us a first floor room. After 10 minutes wait, they got a top floor room for us. The ice machine on our floor is not working. The dryer in the guest laundry room is not working. The pool is closed. The fitness center is empty and closed. There are no yogurt and oatmeal available for the breakfast. The IHOP attached to the hotel is closed. Construction materials and tools are around the building and in the staircases. read more

I have stayed in this hotel numerous times. My son and his family live about 5 minutes away. The hotel is across the road from a shopping plaza with some eateries. There is also a strip about a mile away that has shopping and many other food choices. Gas and shopping are super convenient. The hotel has always been clean and the staff friendly. I have checked in early, late, and changed my reservations at the last moment and have always been treated courteously. The rooms are well maintained and smell fresh. The pool and hot tub are the same. Parking is plentiful and free. The breakfast buffet is consistently warm and fresh. The food is basic but plentiful and has some healthy choices as well. In short-this is a clean, friendly hotel convenient to shopping, business, and food but slightly off the main highway so it's peaceful. If you're looking for a nice clean place to stay this hotel is for you. read more

I woke up too late for breakfast, but the coffee in the lobby was pretty tasty. I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area. A bit on the pricey side @ about 160 including tax, but we were in town for a wedding and this was where everyone was staying, so our options were limited. read more

A/C was on very low temperature when arriving and was also did not get the room we booked. Booked room advance and they had a difficult time finding the reservation. The fire alarm went off at 7am and no one at the hotel explained if it was real or false alarm. People at the front desk could not be bothered about it. Also the receipt that I signed was 20 dollars less than what I was actually charged which is very unusual. I Called to express my concerns with the manager and the manager laughed it off and said it is what it is. Then told me the GM of the hotel would be calling and now a week later still have not received a call. Also chatted with someone on line and was told someone would be in contact in 3-5 days and still nothing. I can see how serious Hampton Inn takes the concerns or their gusts in regards to safety,billing, and customer service. I will definitely re think staying at a Hampton Inn in general and definitely will no be staying at this specific Hampton Inn again. read more

I stay in a lot of Hampton Inns all across the US and this one has to be one of the worst. The lady working the front desk was super friendly and really nice. I was given the first room on the first floor. I was a bit worried about the noise, but I didn't really hear anything (that's about the only positive). The rooms in this hotel are in dire need of an update. The decor is dark green, dark wood and tacky gold plating. The carpet is a bit worn and the towels felt super thin. I was afraid to touch anything. The ice bucket was kept on the sink next to the toilet, not the best place. The handle on the tap protruded out a lot so you had to be careful not to hit yourself when washing your face. The shower was good. The hairdryer was mounted to the wall and was not powerful. There were barely any power outlets and my tv did not work. I didn't realize until I was in my pjs. There was no-one at the front desk when I left the hotel so I could not inform them. If I come to Flemiington again, will definately not be staying at this location. read more

I'm giving this a 3.5 review. There's nothing wrong with staying here, the staff is great, the place is clean, the building is in order and it's 1.5 miles from where I'm working. Free breakfast! It has all the shopping, dining, restaurants near by... But the internet connection is awful! I can't watch a 30-second news clip let alone a Netflix movie. Spoke to a candid front desk employee the employee admitted that the problem was not my room or my floor but that the entire facility has this issue. He offered a biz card of the manager and suggested I contact her. He mentioned that she was aware of the issue and working with corporate for a solution. High speed (or any speed) internet is a BIG DEAL to travelers! And again, nothing wrong with the hotel itself, just the internet connection. read more

Stayed here for a baseball trip. Have had a great experience until about the third or fourth night. We had a late game and didn't get back until 11:15 pm. All I wanted to do was get a snack or two at the suite shop. The guy that was working the late shift was terrible. Told me to take the snacks because he didn't feel like ringing it up while using explicit language. He was upset because he couldn't see the snacks on the counter behind the computer. He was a large guy and rather than move his head he yelled at me for the placement of the snacks. And then brought up the placement of the snacks again while I was walking away. read more

We only stay at Hamptons because the mattresses are the best and the breakfasts are wonderful.The Flemington,New Jersey hotel has the greatest employees, they helped us with very important faxes and even helped with printing our boarding passes.
