The most disgusting and unprofessional inn I have ever stayed at. Walking into the room, it was obvious that this inn is not kept up at all. We booked a suite, and it was literally two rooms with a dirty and unusable refrigerator and nasty microwave. The counters in the bathroom and all the tables were dirty. The carpet was disgusting and sticky. We wore our socks the whole time. We usually only have housekeeping clean our room every other day, but this room was so disgusting that we decided to let them clean it each day. The first day they didn't come, therefore, we actually had to call every morning to make sure our room was cleaned, each time the office asked us if we previously had put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, which we did not. I found cockroaches, beetles and worms on the floor and of the bathroom after housekeeping left. The people in the office never once apologized or tried to rectify any of the issues presented. Do not stay at this inn!!! It is a disgrace to Wyndham.

I booked a room on Priceline. I had the Hampton confirmation number, the Priceline confirmation…read morenumber, and proof of charge to my credit card. When I checked in Saturday night after a very long travel day at 12 midnight, the night front desk attendant could see my reservation in the system but he said it wasn't confirmed and my card was declined. I showed him proof of the confirmation numbers and the credit card's successful charge, and he still would not honor my reservation. He asked for the card I used to make the reservation and then said he needed it for incidentals. I gave it to him and he swiped it, then he gave me a room key. The next morning after I checkout out, I got a text message from my credit card company asking me if I authorized a second charge for Hampton Inn. He used the card swipe to charge me a second time for the room rate. I called Priceline and after 25 minutes, they said they contacted Hampton and they would look into it. Then Priceline asked me to email them all the documentation, and I instead just disputed the charge with my cc company. I did not authorize this night front desk attendant to charge me for a room I already paid for; I only gave him my card for incidentals (of which there were none), and he unscrupulously charged my card. He should have just taken my information and had a manager speak to me in the morning, since I provided 3 types of proof of purchase/confirmation that the room was indeed booked and paid for. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was recently remodeled and clean/modern. Cleaning crew was also quite loud starting at 7am, so it did disturb my sleep (despite the do not disturb sign on the doorknob) when I really needed it. The hotel rate was over $200 for the middle of NJ on a Saturday night in August so it wasn't a great value to begin with. Just didn't have a good transactional experience with my reservation at the front desk, and I should never have been charged a second time and certainly not without my consent or authorization. Thus I can't give more than a single star.

The hotel itself is relatively clean. I've had their breakfast. It's OK. The last two stays had a couple of issues, the heating wasn't working the greatest the first night. Kind of hit or miss. My 2nd stay, however, I got to the room and it had clearly only been partially cleaned. The bed was clean. The shower/toiler was clean. However, there was leftover food in the mini fridge, there was a used coffee cup, partially full, on the desk and another on the bathroom counter. In the bathroom, although it had generally been cleaned, there were also two dirty washcloths in the sink. I had gotten in late and honestly did not feel like dealing with anything so threw away the things that needed thrown away and called it a night. It's convenient and it is what it is. The beds are incredibly comfortable, it's not noisy, and it's very convenient if you need to be in the Flemington area. It's also not necessarily the cleanest or best maintained hotel. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes, but don't pay too much, if the rates are high, go somewhere else.

The polenta was cooked to perfection. I made a very loud yummy sound when I tasted his meal. I ordered the lamb 3 generous lollipop lamb chops and felt no shame as I gnawed at my bones. Temperature perfect, the sauce!!! and the carrots julienned with the best spice and maybe a pinch of brown sugar (tried guessing because it was so good, these were not carrots ! So much more. And a purple potato mash that was ... I mean everything was beyond our hopes. We chose the fresh fruit desert that had a very unusual combination, 2 of which I'd never had before. I'm now a convert. We were served by Tracy clearly and expert (warm but not making herself the focus) with Brady in training and already up to speed. Some things I noticed. When food came out the whole kitchen came out and served everybody at once! How refreshing to see that. All servers were attentive and paying attention to the entire room. No one felt unnoticed and forgotten. The wonderful woman behind the desk at the entryway, took us on a tour of the event space with complete joy and enthusiasm. She didn't seem put out at all in fact I wanted to just hang out with her for a while. So welcoming. The second we walked in the door everyone said hello to us as if they had known us for years! We just moved here. We had never been there in our lives. The property is perfectly maintained, makes quite a statement, and the new converted barn was my dream barn. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet all the sheep on the property. If any guests come to visit us in our new home in French Town, we're going to recommend they stay there in one of the cottages possibly or the in itself so that they can have the ultimate comfort and the elegance. They would expect in an overnight that I fear, our guest room will not lend itself to. I want to get married again so I can get married there! I want to eat there once a week! Gratitude to my niece who we asked for a recommendation of where we should eat for a nice meal to celebrate my husband, after a big achievement. She has lived here for three years and as a trained nutritionist and chef herself. She said the only place you should go is the Woolverton Inn and its New Restaurant. She will be receiving a gift! Lastly, I was so overwhelmed upon entering the restored barn that I forgot the name of the elegant man who received us with such grace. He's a gracious host and constantly circulated the room keeping an eye on the flow with light personnel suggestions ( potato soup with lobster next time! I promise) and birthday wishes for a large families grandmother. Go, enjoy, stay there, eat there, bring friends there! Bon apetite!

The hotel complex includes three buildings with rooms, with check-in being located at the building in the front. Check-in went smoothy and our room with twin beds was in the same building. The lobby area does get locked at 10PM, but you can still check-in by using the doorbell. Hotel has plenty of parking. Room was relativity modern and decently sized, but interestingly had two different sets of doors, one from the back parking area and one from the front walkway. Full size mini fridge and microwave were provided, along with a 32-inch TV. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Room had modern light fixtures, but need more electrical sockets. There was no closet, but there was small rack with hangers in the one corner. Beds were reasonably comfortable. While the bathroom was small, the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water, and the sink was outside of the bathroom. Our room was not the best soundproofed however, as we could hear the highway. Outside of the breakfast area were the vending machines and ice machines. A complimentary breakfast is offered with several items, but due to crowding we decided to not partake. Overall, Travel Inn & Suites would be fine for a day or two stay, and I would return here again.

My stay was better than expected for the price I paid, $70 plus taxes!! It's an older motel, NOT hotel! But rehabbed and upgraded! I had no real negative comments except that the door/frame to outside of room had a gap that needed fixed. I could see day light coming through and a rather cold breeze coming in. Other than that, my Check-in went smoothy and the clerk was generally helpful (providing all details where my room was located, location of breakfast in morning, etc Hotel had plenty of parking. My room was redone with modern interior and a decent size. It had a little fridge and microwave w/a 32-inch TV. In addition, my room had a balcony (though it was void of any furniture to sit on out there, it was winter so not needed. Not sure if any included in nicer weather). The heater worked well but I had to run it all night due to cooler air entering from the space opening in the door frame. The bed was reasonably comfortable. I took the sheets off it to check for any indication of bugs, stains, damage, whereby I found nothing wrong with it! There was a small bathroom , and the shower provided very hot water with reasonable pressure. Sinks are outside of the bathroom ( which I personally am not a fan of, but better hotels seem to have this stupid set up too). I had a room in the building at the top of the hill and back, near the woods, and could not hear the highway. I needed to sleep in so did not attend the complimentary breakfast (so no input on that) But for the lower price paid for the room, I was surprised anything was offered to eat! I'm staying at another hotel right now, paying more and no breakfast offered! Most everything seemed clean and modern, even the check-in lobby. TV and remote worked fine too. Not sure what some people's beef is about this place for the price, but I understand things do go wrong and each person can experience different events (especially if during warmer weather with things like AC and bugs getting in... especially at a motel where the room door leads directly to the outside). I met the manger upon check out and we had a nice chat about the area, the restaurant they'll be opening next door, etc. Seemed nice to me. Some folks that may be complaining are probably used to more expensive hotels with better services, and because this area has few sleeping accommodations, they had no other choice but stay at a less expensive motel (especially when the area is swamped with out of towners during the hot air balloon festival and ball tournaments, some of which may be at the same time). But for the price in today's economy, I got what I paid for. In general, I will return to Travel Inn & Suites of Flemington again.

I actually forgot my own shampoo/conditioner and soap, but I wouldn't hesitate to use these again. In fact, since I may be traveling back to this hotel, I wouldn't even bother bringing my own. Might as well save some space in the luggage. It was great to have a little Starbucks in the lobby, it's not what you'd expect from a normal Starbucks, but it was the same coffee and they had a mini of the same food products. I enjoyed the avocado toast and a colleague of mine ordered the breakfast burrito. We both enjoyed them. And the staff that managed this area was extremely friendly. In the evenings, I didn't notice if they served food, but we did stop and share a pint before calling it for the night. Many other travelers used it to hang out and catch up, we even saw some people bring their own board games. The only issue I had during the entire stay was apparently I had the only room with a tree branch that proceeded to scrape against the window and cause a horrible sound inside. It would've been nice if somebody would've come to check it out rather than giving me the only option of packing up my belongings and moving them to a new room, I was too tired and not interested in doing that, so I ended up sucking it up. Hopefully they resolve this for the next person, but it looks to me like this overgrowth has been there for a little while. Since Covid, it's hard to find a free great breakfast anymore at a hotel. --Got back at 2 AM and the shower only had very hot water! I ran it for 10 minutes and still only HOT-burning HOT! I temporarily fixed it by turning the water off and then applying max pressure to the control arm while turning it on so that it would grip the cold control. The shower was now a bit only on the just warm side--not hot but good for one shower--I survived. I would have to change rooms if I was staying another night. --Staff at the front desk is not the friendliness, even by LA Standards, but they get the job done.
