This company is horrible. Do not give them your money. Do not let them touch your house. All those great 5-star reviews from several years ago were under the company's previous owner. The current owner, Brian, doesn't care if his company's repair job is done correctly or fixes the issue they were paid to fix. We hired Foundation Worx to add support under a hallway in our home. The job was done incorrectly, creating a large bulge in our bedroom floor and causing substantial drywall damage. I emailed Brian immediately and received no response. After calling the company a couple times, they finally sent out a salesman who doubled down on the improper repair and claimed there was no need to make any adjustments or corrections. We hired a structural engineer who confirmed the job didn't resolve our hallway issue and actually made it worse. We sent a Right To Repair letter certified mail to Brian, which he was supposed to respond to within 30 days. Brian did not respond. After waiting over seven weeks for a response that never came, I emailed Brian again and asked for a refund, as our house experienced significant further damage while we were jumping through these hoops trying to get a resolution from Foundation Worx. Brian finally responded but only offered to repair their project, 6+ months after they broke our house. This repair should have been offered to us immediately. As we could not trust Foundation Worx to repair our home properly or in a timely manner, we paid another company to do it. I requested a refund from Brian multiple times and this request was ignored. This is my first yelp review ever and I'm doing so because apparently this company or at least the woman who answers the phone, says they don't do what their business says they do! I have a leak of some kind in the lowest level of my townhouse. A room I rarely used except to store things I have figured out what to do with. Sometime last summer with all the hard rains I ended up with a leak in the back corner. I didn't know about it for months but my HOA, who won't touch anything foundation, did send someone out and with some basic testing found a spot on the outside which correlates to where the water comes inside. Since I didn't discover the problem for months there is some mold on the baseboards and edges of the carpet. I called Foundation Worx to get an estimate and explained the issue. The woman who answered the phone first told me that they couldn't do anything until the mold was taken care of! REALLY! I questioned that since if repairs are done inside before the foundation repairs are done and then we get heavy rain, I end up with new inside damage to be repaired. I repeated that I wasn't asking them to repair the inside, I wanted an estimate on fixing wherever the leak is on the outside. That's when she told me that because my townhouse was on a slab they couldn't do the repair because they would have to dig down. I'm not foundation expert but I don't see how it's possible to fix any foundation issue without digging down to see/fix that area of the foundation! My family recently relocated back to the Atlanta area and we bought a fairly new home. Our home inspection revealed that we needed to have a part of our home's foundation inspected. After researching a few firms, I found Foundation Worx and I'm glad I did. I spoke to the owner Jonathan and he personally came to my home to analyze a few problem areas. He made several suggestions to me that will ultimately save me a ton of money. Since I'm not an expert on foundation repair work, I trusted his opinion. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation and recommended something I didn't need but I found Jonathan to have the utmost integrity; he didn't even charge me a trip fee. He offered a solution and a warranty that no one else in the business could match. I'm very type A and very picky, so to be overjoyed with a company speaks volumes. I am revising my original post and rating of 1 star from earlier on 4/9/2018 to a 4. Basically, the reason for my prior negative review was that the salesman did not explain or even highlight that there was a reasonably good chance that the cost could increase significantly, if additional depth of the piers was required. It was only a line item on the original contract. It was only when the work was underway, that we were told there would be an additional charge and asked us if we wanted to proceed. I called the salesman, voicemail was full. I called the office and left a message. The office called me back about an hour+ later, at which most of the work was already completed. The salesman later called me and apologized that he had not explained it to us and would discuss it with Johnathan and he or Johnathan would call me back shortly. Nobody called until I wrote the review. Johnathan contacted me today and we came to a mutual agreement which I believe is fair, considering the circumstances. He said that he was under the impression that someone had called me; explained and discussed this with me, and I was ok with everything. I still can't give a 5 because of the frustration and anger of being invoiced without getting a returned call; until I posted a negative review. All of this could have been avoided with a call back on the 4th, when the work was being done. I will say, once I discussed this with Johnathan, he understood why I was upset. We had Foundation Worx come out for an estimate on November 16, the proposal received on November 17th and we asked for a revision to include the warranty in the contract. The contract we received mentioned a warranty but the terms were never stated. We reached out for 2 weeks, trying to get in contact with Brian who sent us the quote and we also spoke with someone at the office. Finally, this Monday we received an email from Brian asking what we needed (which had already been explained weeks prior) and that he would send the revised contract on Tuesday. Unfortunately, we still haven't heard back after sending two follow up emails and calling the front desk. Communication has been extremely difficult and follow through has been nonexistent. We really wanted to use Foundation Worx for our issue, but we can't seem to get the project started which makes us worried about getting in contact with someone once the deposit is received or the project is completed. read more

We just moved into to our house and had some temporary supports I wanted to get checked. I had also noticed some cracks in our crown moulding, so I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with those supports and our foundation. Scheduling was super easy. The lady on the phone was so nice. Clint came out to take a look and said everything looked good. Luckily, we didn't need to do anything major, but if anything ever pops up in the future, I am definitely going to be contacting Foundation Worx again. read more

Jonathan contacted me mere minutes after I left the review to apologize for the issue and ask what he could do to fix it. He said he had talked to the foundation rep earlier this week after I emailed and was told that it was taken care of. I felt that at this point it would be uncomfortable for all parties involved to work that that rep, who would have to at least supervise any work since they're a small company. Jonathan gave me a recommendation for another company he trusts and offered to help find someone else if needed or look over any proposals from another company. To top it off, he even sent us a small gift as an apology. His response was very hands-on and shows that he really cares about the reputation of Foundation Worx and how they treat their customers. It goes a long way toward smoothing things over and I trust that Jonathan will do everything in his power to make sure our situation doesn't happen to anyone else. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Initial review: I really wish I could add a good review to those here, but unfortunately, I never even had the opportunity to see what kind of work Foundation Worx can do. After several weeks of trying, we were never able to arrange a successful evaluation with the rep who was supposed to come take a look at our issue and see what needed to be done. I emailed the owner regarding my experience several days ago but no attempt has been made to respond to my concerns or try to address the problem. I got a call from the foundation rep a day or two after submitting my information online, and we arranged for him to come out the following Tuesday morning. He asked me to give him a reminder call that Monday, which I thought was weird but which I did. I left a voicemail. The day of the appointment he called at about 8:30 to say that he wouldn't be able to make it that day after all. We rescheduled for the following Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. When he hadn't arrived by 10:15, I called and left a voicemail. He called back later that day and left me a voicemail explaining that a customer had had a serious problem that he'd had to take care of. I was not even sure at this point that I wanted to give it a third try, but I called him back and left a voicemail that Wednesday evening expressing the desire to reschedule and giving two days that I was available the following week. I never heard back. The rep who was supposed to come out (not named on purpose) seems like a nice and honest guy on the phone, but to be honest I've never had to work so hard just to try and get someone out to determine how much money I might need to pay them to fix a problem. Unexpected things sometimes happen, but twice with little to no warning and then no contact? I work part-time, so I was able to be home on the days we arranged the inspection without taking time off from work. However, many people are not in that situation, and it would be a huge disappointment for an appointment to be cancelled on the morning of or to be stood up entirely. The fact that the owner has not bothered to respond to my email about the issue is another deal breaker. Communication and organization appear to be weaknesses with this company, and if this is how we're treated as potential customers I don't think I want to be an actual customer. read more

I called this company twice given them a week in between to come and assess my home I never heard back from them so the second time I called she lay told me that they were very busy well guess what that's NOT acceptable if you are not able to handle the work load either hire more people or just say so from the get go. I moved into my current home just over a year ago and when I realized that I had a foundation problem, I was very anxious. Jonathan eased my anxiety when he came out to assess the situation and he provided me a clear solution that saved me a bunch of bucks over other quotes that I had gotten. I was shocked that Jonathan contacted me from his client base at his previous employer, Atlas Piers. It seems extremely unethical to me for a salesman to steal clients from a previous employer and contact them on his own. I hope Jonathan had Atlas Piers permission to take these clients with him but I know he did not have my permission to contact me from his own company. I had originally contacted Atlas Piers because of their reputation (not Jonathans) and the reason I did NOT use Atlas Piers was that I did not like working with Jonathan. Foundation Worx repaired three areas under our home damaged by termites. The work on two of the spots looked great, and the floor above felt solid. The third was a problem, however. The floor still flexed and squeaked, and down below we found new support beams sistered to a rotted beam, and a few other supporting pieces loose. Trying to get some folks out to finish the repairs was a mixed bag. The company's main line was picked up by a woman who was very helpful, but the foreman was out of contact for a week. That said, they returned and finished the work, and the repairs look solid. The company knows their stuff, and I believe the problems we encountered were an isolated incident, not the norm. While they were here Jay talked with us extensively about the work that was done and they were very decent about the whole thing. We're happy with the finished product. read more

I hired a different contractor to put a vapor barrier in my crawl space and they did such a terrible job, I was skeptical when hiring Foundation Worx, but boy did they prove me wrong. They were extremely helpful in telling me what was needed and even finished the job without me knowing. When I went to inspect it, the work was impeccable and put the first contractors work to shame. Everything was secured to the post and sides of the foundation (something the first company didn't even bother with). Even the quality of the plastic was far superior. During the big rains in the last few months, my basement flooded (standing water four inches deep) due to water that was pooling between my and my neighbor's house. Jonathan came out twice to assess the situation. He's extremely knowledgeable and professional. Other people I had come out wanted to dig around my house and seal the foundation. Jonathan suggested essentially solving the problem rather than sealing the foundation. And he was right. He engineered a system of pipes and drains that directed the water to the street where it drains properly. It completely solved the problem for the same or less cost than the other companies that wanted to just dig and seal. Which I know now would not have solved the problem at all. His crew were efficient and friendly. And the work was performed on time. The next big rain came and the system worked perfectly. I highly recommend Foundation Worx and I cannot overemphasize the importance of their approach of solving the problem rather than just a placing a band aid on it.
