I knew this store is expensive, and I wasn't overly concerned about price if I could get comfort and fit. As I had the complementary fitting, the lady assured me they had a bra my size with a cotton lining, however I could tell by looking at the fabric that it was not cotton, it sorta looked like cotton. Had this appeared to me an honest mistake, and had she apologized, I would have been more forgiving, but clearly didn't know, or more likely knew and didn't care. Two: Yes products are expensive, and yes the quality is reasonably good, but I got sick of hearing: 'It's European you know.' I recognize that some good quality dry goods are produced in Europe, and I know that these will be on the high end price range, but the attitude of these two ladies just made me wonder if I should be there because I don't drive a Mercedes. When one of them found a suitable bra that they could order, I did question the $150 price tag, but I will never buy from there again. I don't know what they did for sizing, but this is the most uncomfortable bra that I have. She assured me it would last forever. No question there because I only wear it when everything else is dirty, then I can't wait to get it off.

I knew it was a lingerie store, but from the name, I was expected to be walking into a place full of hilariously crass underthings. I was pleasantly surprised that this was far from the case. This place carries a good selection of high end lingerie. They stock some of my favourite European brands and introduced me to a few fun new lines that I wasn't yet familiar with. Between this place and Le Boudoir further down Water St, there's absolutely no excuse to be walking around in boring lingerie. Whether you want to drop the dough on a well made set (and you should, it's definitely worth it), at least pop in here and get a proper fitting. The folks are super friendly and you'd be amazed by how wrong your current sizing may be. Every lady should have at least one lingerie set that makes her feel like superwoman and this place is definitely a possibility for your future superhero bras.

Heritage Shop is a classy souvenir shop on Water Street. They sell some of the usual items, like…read moreT-shirts. But here one can find handcrafted items with a St. John's theme, such as slate coasters, sun catches, wine stoppers and even switchplate covers. The St. John's townhouses are worked into many of these items. They also carry calendars and books about Newfoundland. There is also a selection of former independent Newfoundland postage stamps for stamp collectors. The shop is about one block up and two over from the cruise terminal.
