Dear Previously Loved owner: I know you think that not having changing rooms will make people buy more because they won't want to have to drive all the way back to exchange it, but actually what you're doing is selling less because most people don't want to take a risk on buying something unless they know it fits. If someone was on the fence about buying something, they might just buy it if they knew it fit. I was in the other day and tried to buy jeans but I couldn't. I was prepared to get 3 pairs. I left with 0 pairs because jeans need to be tried on. I stripped in the aisle to try on one pair and people were obviously uncomfortable. So, frustrated, I dropped everything and left with nothing. I'll just go buy some new jeans, but I could have got them from you. At this point the first place to offer me a changing room can take all my money. You guys don't have an "online shop". You're only an in-person store. So you can't use the same strategy as new clothing stores and force everyone to shop for your products online. All that's going to happen is people are just going to shop entirely online from other stores, and you will gradually sell less and less. Bring back changing rooms. Don't be lazy and manipulative. If you expect people to try on clothes in the aisles, then you'll be picking up after them anyway, so you can't use the excuse that the changing rooms require maintenance because you need to maintain the store regardless. Bring back changing rooms. You are a clothing store. People will come just for that. read more

I don't go here anymore. Sometimes it's not up to me where we go and I'm fine with that, so occasionally I find myself in Previously Loved... Nothing has changed here in several, several years. There's still GARBAGE being priced at ridiculously high prices. There's still stuff on the shelves that's been there for the last 8 years. There's still NLC promo glasses with $5 price tags... Here's an idea - and I'll keep it simple - Pull your heads out and have a 50% off everything in the store sale. Or 80%. On EVERYTHING. 99 times out of 100 it's NOT TREASURE. Get rid of all the old crap, and let the donations flow in again. if you're turning free inventory away at the back because theres no room at the front, you're doing it wrong. previously loved should start loving their store, I walked in and immediately got hit with a smell of shart and boogers. I went down the book aisle and found a book with almost all the pages missing except for the table of contents when I went up to cash they charged me $276.25 for this book, absolute ROBBERY! I recently visited this story. WORST experience ever. I purchased a lamp. after paying for it I was offered a light bulb to test it. It did not work. I was told after testing it, that after it was paid for, it was mine. I was not told about their policy before purchasing it. They would not even let me do an exchange. Considering that I never even left the store with it, this is disgraceful. I always support charities, but I will never go to this store again. Buyers Beware. read more

I never found any problems with anything there. Some items are more than they should be. Some things are cheaper at Canadian Tire & Walmart. Known brands are increased in prices. Staff is kind, friendly and helpful. I'm medically unable to wear a face covering of any kind since covid started .. Been told to leave the store and know of others who were escorted out because not being able to wear a mask. I have PTSD , that's my reason for being unable.. read more

Worst thrift store in st. Johns, NL. Prices are ridiculously high, 'vintage' items priced at $20+, only worth $2 or $3. Just because it's old, it is not necessarily valuable. (I have rocks in the backyard that are millions of years old that are worthless). Very cluttered and disorganized. There are loads of overpriced junk that has been there for months and months. No exchange or return policy, even if your purchase turns out to be not working or has hidden damage. Many items can be bought new at retail stores for less price.Free advice --cut your prices in half overall and have periodic sales to get rid of months old stock. Whoever is running this place needs to educate themselves on running a successful thrift store. The only regular customers seem to be bored upper middle class after they have been through the mall, amazon, and ebay. Don't know how this place stays in business. read more

Rudest customer service I've ever experienced in my life (not even an exaggeration), prices are way too high for a "thrift" store, overall messy and unorganized. Pricing is madly inconsistent. Any plate with a nice pic is labelled 10.00 regardless of value. They stay on the shelves for months. The display shelves glass have been there for the better part of the year as the prices are higher than new. There is a layer of thick dust on everything, dust balls in the corners. I usually have dirty hands after a half hour of browsing. The clothing shelves are blocked and full of nobby, stained items that should be tossed. Staff are friendly, wrap well. read more

Very poorly organized. Everything is so mixed up. Prices are crazy high for a thrift store. The managers contact certain people for items that come in so all donations are not put up for sale for everyone to have the opportunity to purchase. They save the best for certain customers and some staff are very unfriendly. read more

"BEWARE" Just purchased an outdoor light there, cost $10. It was new in it's original box but box was well worn with no packing material. Looked it over well in the store for defects and looked good. When I got it home and opened the metal cover with a screwdriver to install outside the glass lens was broken. This would make the light very unsafe to use along with not being water proof. Took it back next day but no refunds or exchanges. The manger told me I was supposed to inspect it well even if that meant getting a screwdriver and taking it apart in the store. Ha! The staff here turn over every week or so. The bosses daughter is Angela who thinks she can say whatever she feel like to the customer without consequences. Don't call to complain or her mother Gail will attack you. She will be overheard saying things you never said like get rid if her. No what I'm saying is she rude. Ti everyone. Gail will say oh yu are calling here complaining about our mirror,etc, that you? No, not me. ANGELA Picks on staff and is saucy..no wonder ,her mother runs the place..Gail will yell you its in her best interest if you do not shop there after she says you stare at the staff? Why where are they ,can't ever find any...don't try to tell them the item was broke or chip in a glass, too bad, yours now.. horrible there, don't miss it.. read more

Prices are way to high, you can buy the items cheaper on eBay than in the store. Picked up a bowl for 1.00 but when I went to checkout they tried charging me 20.00 for it and the employee said they could change the price at any time. Prices have skyrocketed in the past few months! Do not shop here! read more
