The absolute worst OB office you can go to for a pregnancy. They completely missed that my placenta was 50% dead. Went in for my 30 week appointment they measured my baby and said she was growing correctly. I go into the ER because she wasn't moving as much, she was breathing at the prior hospital and when we got to the correct hospital there was no heartbeat. Dr. Foster said she was about 25 weeks in size and said she probably passed around that time. He wrote down in our papers we stopped coming in after 18 weeks which is a LIE and completely got rid of all of our medical records. INCLUDING "Dr" Hayes who always had a stick up her ass, I had told her I was having awful migraines and she said to just take Tylenol and I'd be fine but I had Preeclampsia. DO NOT GO HERE we lost our babygirl at 32 weeks with ZERO justice. read more

This office is malicious. They knowingly charge for the incorrect visit types to insurance causing higher charges than what should be. Our insurance shows what a visit should be charged yet this office charges $200 for a copay and refuses to allow you to be seen before paying it. After insurance confirmed with us we do not have a co-pay for this office. I understand there will be expected charges for the visit but those can be reasonably presented and charged for. When my wife was pregnant with our second - the first visit was billed incorrectly and insurance didn't even know we were pregnant because they classified it as a standard Lab appointment versus Initial Pregnancy visit - which is charged differently with insurance. On top of the $400+ credit we had no idea that we had, the office started using it towards "co-pays" for pregnancy visits - which should have been, and were if submitted properly, fully covered by insurance. read more

Love some of the staff members. It does get a little annoying that I drive 20 min to see the NP for 5-10 min but that's okay. You have to be prepared with all questions before going in to make sure you leave satisfied. But this is for OB. Met Dr. Foster once and he was great. Felt satisfied to be seen by his colleagues. He also is located right next to Holmes hospital so it is some peace of mind when your due. read more

Fosters women care is an office that could care less about your experience or your health. All they care about is their schedule and getting paid. I visited this office for about 2-3 months before switching to a different office, my initial meeting with Wesley foster himself was not a pleasant one and i went in excited to talk about my birthing plan and how the process would go. He was very cold and claimed he has done this so many times before its just another day to him but he knew well this was my first pregnancy and i was just expected some type of warmness. He explained about c section well before vaginal birth as if that wasn't an option and told me epidural was a part of my plan without even speaking to me about natural birth as if it is impossible and said some really odd remarks that ended up making me cry in his office again with no warmness. Just looked at me awkwardly and handed me a box of tissues. After that, the appointments were very quick and useless as i would come into the office with questions that couldn't be answered. Calling the office was a nightmare as you would have to leave messages on machines with either weeks waiting for a reply or no reply at all. I feel my feelings and health were not thought about at all, even when i came early to my appointments i was still rushed as if i wasn't a human being. The office itself was small but nice. People working there looked miserable and were like statues. I barely got to see my baby via ultrasound when requested and when i did their equipment is so old and terrible you really can't see a thing, and the pictures they give you are terrible quality. Sadly there are not a lot of women health options out here in Melbourne, coming from new York and Miami there were many options and better care practices. Glad that I switched before i have birth because just based on the way i was treated in the office I had terrible anxiety waiting on my due date and letting my birth be in their hands. I feel much better now I'm no longer with that office and confident in my choice and my birthing process with my new office and hospital. read more

This place is terrible; I went in for a swollen lump and they prescribed me a medicine that's dangerous for pregnant women. At the time I didn't know I was pregnant and they didn't test me. Highly recommend Dr.foster and his team I have delivered two healthy babies with Dr. Foster my first daughter back in 2011 and my second daughter in 2020 DR.mainwold is also amazing and she helped me with my fertility treatment. Both of them have always been amazing to me. And Danielle the lead MA. In 2020 when I was 9 month's pregnant I had a tragic loss in my family and and I can't express how amazing they were to me and being there for me when I needed it the most. making sure I was ok listening to me cry talking with me even after I gave birth when I was going in for my 6 weeks check up. They don't do ultrasounds or labs in the clinic. They send you to 2 separate places for each. Definitely wouldn't recommend unless you don't mind having 3 appointments instead of just 1. You'll also be waiting in the waiting room at least 30 minutes to an hour AFTER your appointment time, no matter how early you get there. Overall they were very kind to me, the clinic is very clean and professional... but does anyone know of a good clinic that won't send you somewhere else for ultrasound and labs? read more

This review is long over due as I gave birth almost 12 years ago but I felt that I needed to do it. I switched to this practice after having such a horrible experience with a different one. I will only say about that one here that I had a miscarriage and she was not very caring and would never get back to me, so I started seeing Dr. Diane Mainwold at the advice of my primary. She was wonderful. In October of 2007, I discussed going off of birth control because I was ready to get pregnant. In February I got pregnant and called to make an appointment with her. I went in, only to find out that she was no longer practicing OB, so they switched me to her husband, Dr. Foster. We didn't click very well as he teams up with the previous OB/GYN and I said that I would never let her touch me. He suggested that I find a new doctor. I decided that since I was pregnant, I would stay with him. My visits were short and I was misdiagnosed with placenta previa. For that, I understand because the ultrasound showed that it looked that way, but when I asked if it could change, I got a resounding NO. In my 5th month, the ultrasound showed that I didn't have it. Also, let me add in that 3 years earlier, I had cracked a rib and was in a lot of pain during my pregnancy. At my 8th month ultrasound, the tech told me that the baby looked to be about 7lbs. I did the calculations and figure that my baby would be about 9lbs, so at my next appointment, I asked Dr. Foster if it would be possible to go a week or two early, to which he responded yes. At that time, he stated that the baby wouldn't be that big. At my next appointment, he advised me that he was moving my due date forward a week instead of me going early. I pleaded with him to not do that and that is when he "stripped my lining" as I have come to understand. I screamed, that hurt and he just walked out of the room. I left that day, not knowing what he had done. The next day, I felt like the baby was kicking more but thought ok, we're just getting ready. The next morning after that, my water broke. I called the office and told them and at that time, I didn't realize that the "kicking" was contractions. They said that I could wait until noon when Dr. Foster came in, so I did. Come to find out they were contractions. I never dilated past 2cm. I was given Pitocin for about 8 hours, which did nothing, so they stopped and decided to wait until morning to do a C-section. The anesthesiologist couldn't get the spinal in and after the 6th try, they knocked me out! When my son was born, he was healthy and 10.3 lbs! I was cut hip to hip. When Dr. Foster came to check on me the next day in the hospital, my grandmother was there. Keep in mind that she birthed 6 children and thought that during the pregnancy I was overreacting to the treatment of the doctor. When Dr. Foster left the room, she said that "he had the worst bedside manner she had ever seen!" read more

Foster's Women Care is the most unprofessional medical practice I have ever been to in my entire life. I use to think very highly of this place until after this incident I am dealing with. I went in for the Nexaplon placement (I've had this done multiple times and never had insurance issues) the MA told me they weren't able to place the rod today due to insurance. I told them to prescribe me birth control pills then until I can figure something out. They she comes back into the room and told me if they can do it today would I want to proceed. I replied yes if it's covered and she replied "don't worry we will take care of it" while the procedure is going on the Nurse Practitioner was saying how it's stupid not being able to replace the rod after the old one is removed because it's less invasive when doing it same day. She also mentioned that they will probably get in trouble with this and they will have a office meeting. Not one time did they say my insurance WASN'T going to cover this NOR did they even call my insurance company to get my benefits and coverages (I know this because I called after I got an unexpected bill of $1477) when the assistant came in the room the second time saying they can do the procedure I figured they were doing it because my insurance was covering it that day.... I tried speaking with the office manager (Annie) and she told me she would "get back to me" the next day. I didn't hear from her. So I called after the weekend and left two messages for her to call me because they are trying to send me to collections.... Still no response. So far left three different messages and called four different times. Now I am stuck with a large bill due to horrible communication skills. I am in the health care field and deal with insurance daily and we can find out our patients benefits the day before and on the day of the appointment/procedure. Also we give the treatment plan and cost to the patients if they have to pay out of pocket! This place LIES AND STEALS. STAY AWAY. Clearly you can see the ratings aren't that good. read more

Today i took my daughter in for an appoinment that was schedulled for over a month. Befire o went they new the insurance. Today when we got there she said they do t take that insurance. So i said then i will use mine which acts as her secondary. They said they dont take that one either.... so frustrated i said ok i will pay cash and will send my insurance the bill and hopefully get my money back. Nope. They refused cash or debit also. They were not kind about it either and gave me no advice or suggestions on what to do. Never going there again. Almost glad it didnt work out if those kind of people work there. read more

Doctor Foster is wounderful The billing department is terrible only works one day a week never calls you back. Billed me for my yearly wrong I have never had to pay before but since they billed the wrong code I had to pay or go to collections. My insurance company even tried to call but never called back so I paid to keep my credit. So now working to get my money back with the insurance company very unprofessional and very disappointed. read more

Dr. Foster and staff are absolutely amazing. They take their time and really care for each and every one of their patients. I have been to other Obgyns in the area and they were horrible disorganized, rushed the process and employed staff who didn't care and were down right rude. I have been going to this office for many years and love Dr. Mainwald. Sometimes an office may make a mistake or not handle something the way you would want, but to me that can be worked out. It is about the care of the nurses, the kindness and abilities of the doctor and this office has that; as well as years of experience. read more

I went in to see Elaine Volpe and she didn't really know what was wrong, so I paid my visit in full and I left. A couple of days later I received a call from one of the staff asking me to make an appointment with Dr. Foster. So I did what she asked and made the appt. When Dr. Foster came into the room he asked why I was there, I said I was not sure, that the office had called and asked me to make an appointment (I figured they knew what was going on and wanted me to come in to discuss it). He quickly reviewed my chart and asked me a couple questions, still not coming to a conclusion of the purpose of my visit. So I asked him what I owed since we didn't really get anywhere, he told me "eh, don't worry about it, I'm not charging you" he then followed me up to the front desk and let the girl know not to charge me. After being told I was good to go, I went left. Two months later I receive a bill in the mail for the visit, I called and asked what it was for and explained how the visit had gone. They then told me that what I said was untrue and I owe for the visit. Also, on my first visit I had labs taken, I still have yet to hear the results of those from the office. I had to ask the lab to send me a copy of my results, when I called to pay that bill. This office is clearly disorganized. I am not saying he is a bad doctor, I did not spend enough time with him to judge. But I wanted to share my experience. read more
