The GPS was unclear as to which building the office was in, so after driving around a bit I was 7 minutes late to my appointment. (An appointment I had been waiting months for and was desperate for some help with some hormonal issues!) Even after explaining the situation, they said they had a 5 min grace period and could not see me, and that they were scheduling out months. I went to the car and cried. I too, had a terrible front desk experience. I did not see the nurse practitioner I was scheduled to see. My health insurance said my visit was covered 100% because it was a yearly checkup. The guy at the front desk insisted that I pay $240. I said, "I just talked to my insurance today & they said it was covered". HE WOULDN'T EVEN CALL TO VERIFY what I was saying was true. I prefer the smaller private practices. Went here for a New Patient Visit and will continue to use this office. The Front Desk & Nurse were average. Dr. Sargent was very nice. He took time to sit and talk after the Exam. I was in and out with no hassle. Simple to request & confirm Online Appointments are a major plus for me because I don't like talking on the phone. read more

I have been to this office for years and love it! Warm robes in exam rooms are just one example of the wonderful atmosphere here! The staff make you feel so comfortable and really listen if there are issues. There is never a long wait which is great!! I refuse to go anywhere else! read more

I will agree with all of these reviews that the front desk staff basically harasses me for money every single time I go and I have NEVER not paid them & have my card on file that has never been declined. The initial issue was when I was pregnant (almost 2 years ago!), they wanted my entire deductible of $1500 before delivery. I refused per insurance instructions and because I knew I'd meet it with other specialist visits and the hospital charge itself. I was even told I'd need to find another dr if I didn't pay it, but I never paid and kept seeing Dr. Sargeant. My baby was delivered & after insurance I owed them $30. I knew giving them $1500 was nonsense. I was right. I still go there, but I've never dreaded having to see a front desk staff at a drs office before. They do this Every. Single. Time. Before I go, I am already anticipating their attitudes and demeanor. Im not sure why they can't at least harass people for money AFTER their appointment as all other offices do....especially if it is for like $16 as mine always is. I really like the Dr & nurses and the location is so convenient for me. If you can make it past the front desk, it's great! read more

I had an annual appointment and everything was fine with the visit, until I called to schedule my mammo and the order was wrong. I called the office and left a message, never heard back. I called the imaging center the following week, hoping that they just resent the correct order, no such luck. I then left a message on the portal, waited a few days and called the imaging center again. Nothing. I called and left messages with the assistant, as well as the front desk and never got a call back. Finally asked the imaging center if they could assist and that worked! I am switching doctors, as it is impossible to speak with a human, and they NEVER call back. read more

I would give less stars if possible. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had at an OB/GYN. REQUIRING you to put a credit card on file is one thing, I understand needing to have a safeguard against people not showing up to their appointments because it makes you lose money. But, charging my card $30 over three months after I've had my appointment for the visit is outrageous especially when I wasn't notified that my card was being charged. I understand there's a bill for the service, that's fine but don't charge my card without notifying me first and charge it on time not three months after the service. But that's not even the biggest problem. They did not give me enough refills for my birth control, and when my pharmacy tried to contact them four times they didn't receive any response. And now they're closed all week for spring break so I i'm going to miss my start date for my birth control yet again. read more

I didn't have any issues with the front desk staff or the nurses, they were all wonderful. However Dr.Sargent really needs to work on his people skills. I went for a first time prenatal visit, this is my first pregnancy. Going into it I had a ton of questions but every question I asked was met with a sarcastic response. Due to some previous medical history I was concerned about having a miscarriage and his response when I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent it was to "Never have sex. Ever" They told me before the ultrasound that they thought I was 13 weeks even though I had told them I've never been on a regular period cycle and when I asked where he had gotten the 13 weeks estimate from he very blatantly said "The dates of you last period that you gave us. It's not like I was there when you had sex" like yes I know that you creep. I feel like he was especially judgmental because of how young I am. He kept referring to what all of his "other 20 year old patients have done" telling me I was certainly going to get an epidural (not that I have anything against epidurals) I don't appreciate being lumped in a group and not looked at as an individual. He asked if I had any questions then when I said yes he cut me off and told me that I should let him give his speech because he's been doing this for 20 years. He said that he was sure that he would answer all of my questions. Spoiler alert, he didn't but the way he had answered my previous questions made me so uncomfortable I didn't want to ask him any of the ones I had written down. My boyfriend had gone as well and Dr.Sargent hardly acknowledged him. I'm sure if you are older and this isn't your first pregnancy he may be a really good doctor for you, but if your young or have any kinds of questions about anything then you may want to look for another doctor. I ended up canceling my second appointment days after I made it because I couldn't stand the thought of having to deal with that man again. The way the poor nurse was scrambling around when he was in the room seemed like he chastises them if they make the wrong move, once he left you could almost see her physically relax. She was super nice and we chatted for a bit after he left, I like the nurses way more than I liked him. read more

I did not in fact see a physician so my review is not aimed at a physician. It is aimed at a policy they have in regards to placing your credit card on file. I was going to be a new patient. I was Not informed of this policy while on the phone booking my appointment. Once I arrived to check-in, I was then told that it is their policy to have your credit card on file. I refused and wished her a good day. I hope this review can help other people who are not properly informed by their staff about this specific policy. Now, I hope this information is of assistance to you. There are four key things that your doctor does NOT need to know. Your social security number. The social security numbers of your family members. Your email address. And, Any Financial Information Not Used to Pay Your Immediate Bill. Do not EVER give your credit card information to anyone to keep on file. If a physician's office tells you that it is a requirement...it is our policy...simply leave and find another health care provider. Please take the time to Google...Should you allow a doctor's office to keep your credit card on file. You will see pages and pages of stories about fraud, billing errors and identity theft. Terrible experience with staff at front desk. I never saw the doctor because of a delivery but nobody called me to cancel the appointment. When I complained they said they had called me. Seriously? I had the phone with me and the correct number was on file. Neither the woman (extremely rude) or the man (who said he called me) at the front desk are interested on new patients. I just recently found out I was pregnant. The next day I was cramping and bleeding, so I called around to see if anyone could take me, but it was already late in the day, and Dr. Sergent was the only one who could squeeze me in early the next morning. I got to the office, signed in, and saw the doctor within twenty minutes. He was nice, I have no issues with his personality. What I was concerned with, was that I was a new patient who was about five weeks pregnant and was having cramps and bleeding, and my visit lasted all of three minutes. He asked me a couple questions, and when I realized he wasn't going to grill me for information, I told him everything I knew to tell him because I figured if I didn't then he wouldn't really know what was going on. But he didn't do any examination on me at all, prenatal vitamins weren't prescribed, nothing. The only type of "examination" that occured, was the nurse took my weight and blood pressure. He scheduled me for an ultrasound and blood work and for a follow up appointment the next week to go over my results. After I went to get my ultrasound directly after my doctor's appointmet, the ultrasound place told me my results would be with my docotor within two hrs. I called as soon as the two hrs was up, and the doctor's office was closed. I realize that I was a new patient, and the offcie closes early on Friday's, but I feel like they could have called the ultrasound place and put a rush on my results so that they could tell me if I was still pregnant so I wouldn't have to go the weekend wondering if I still had my baby, or if I had lost it. At my next appointment, the doctor told me I had had a miscarriage. He wasn't uncaring or unfeeling, but once again there was no physical examination. My husband asked for my medical records at the end of the visit and they printed out a copy for us. We looked at them when we got home and saw that there was a two page section describing my physical examination. It went over the everything: the physical appearance of my neck, breasts, vagina, cervix. It said that everything looked normal, there wasn't anything wrong such as legions or tenderness, everything was fine. Also, he never asked about anything like that so he couldn't have even put those notes on there because I told him everything was normal. It also said on the paperwork that he had prescribed me prenatal vitamins. I was completely shocked. A two page description of an examination that never took place, and a prescription that he never gave me. So I would just be careful if you use him as your doctor. Ask for your records and compare them with what actually happened during your appoints. I won't be using him again because now I don't trust this office.
