A Masterclass in Incompetence and Poor Communication…read more I am writing this review to detail the profoundly unprofessional and ethically questionable conduct of real estate agent Randy Schulenburg, who represented the seller of a condo I wished to purchase. The sequence of events was as follows: My agent submitted my good-faith offer to Randy Schulenburg. The seller received our offer. Randy Schulenburg informed us that a "second offer" had materialized and instructed us to come back with our "best and final" offer by 5 PM the next day. Within less than two hours of this instruction, the property's status was changed to "Pending" on Realtor.com. Confused, my agent called Randy Schulenburg to inquire what was happening. He provided no explanation for the conflicting information but told her that we could still submit our best and final offer. We did exactly as he said and submitted an improved offer. After submitting, we heard nothing. My agent sent numerous emails asking for any update. After this period of unprofessional silence, Randy Schulenburg finally got back to her simply to state that the seller had accepted "the first offer." The complete lack of transparency is unacceptable. The entire "best and final" exercise, initiated after the property was already pending, appears to have been a complete fiction and performance art masquerading as real estate sales. The greatest indictment comes from my own agent, who stated that in her 30-year career, she had never encountered anything nearly as questionable as this. I cannot recommend Randy Schulenburg under any circumstances. My experience suggests you cannot trust the information he provides or the processes he manages. Dealing with him was a frustrating and shady experience that cost us time and emotional energy. Exercise extreme caution.

The Best Realtors in Glenview and the North Shore!!!…read more We have sold property with Missy Jerfita and she is the consummate professional. She is a volume leader at K & S and a sales leader of all realtors on the north shore. Extremely passionate for her clients, very thorough in the selling process and is so pleasant to work with. Selling homes can be stressful, Missy understands all the dynamics of this selling process and will definitely get you the best deal for your home along with making it tolerable. Missy is highly recommended. We have purchased property with Peter Canalia...AAA+ realtor. As a builder, developer, manager with extensive experience as a Vice President in one of the largest home developers in the US, Pete brings a sizable edge over any other realtor we have ever dealt with. Extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy, he is guaranteed to be your best advocate when buying. He found a once-in-a-lifetime property for us and we are very happy to have found Pete. Highest recommendation for Pete.

We were looking for a listing agent and verbally agreed to terms with Missy. She never disclosed…read morethat she would be working as a dual agent, which she was required. The drafted contract was not consistent with our agreed to terms. I read the entire contract line by line and identified the errors. She also tried to coerce us into using old photographs of our house (photographs taken by the sellers when we were buying the house in 2019) to save herself time and money (the rights to which are not with her). She can charm and talk the talk. Her long-winded responses never answer your question so she technically is not lying. She is after a quick sale. My strong recommendation to anyone considering her is to make sure to get your questions answered clearly and in writing.

Wow. Where to start. No amount of words can best describe how thankful we were to have had Frank as…read moreour agent but I will attempt to do this experience justice. My partner and I were on the market for our first home and had no idea where to start; so of course, like any  amateur, we started out broad and unrealistic about our expectations. Frank was patient and understanding from the start. In hindsight, I'm not sure how he didn't run screaming from us considering how indecisive we were, yet Frank went above and beyond, taking it upon himself to provide us with everything we needed. Over several months, Frank worked with us around busy schedules, and all manner of challenges. Frank's professionalism, expert knowledge and abundance of experience make him exceptionally qualified. Though I'd say these qualities are complemented by his compassion, relationship building, and sense of humor. He was encouraging throughout the entire process. Every home buyer has those deflating moments when they miss out on a gem in the market, but Frank was right there with us, in empathy, grounding us in the larger picture. Here are some other highlights: Communication; this is crucial! Frank was completely transparent with us, maintaining frequent and prompt follow ups, tailored to our style and preferences. His honesty was refreshing...Frank was -- frank! (had to do it) Readiness; prompt and prepared for all outcomes. The materials he prepared for every single viewing was much appreciated and kept us as informed along the way. He was also more than capable in all areas of interest. We saw homes in almost every suburb surrounding Chicago. He was as familiar and up to date on each city. Even the most obscure things (wacky city policies!). Which is clearly a testament to his wide experience. Educational; Frank was able to effectively convey even the most confusing of concepts to us in laymen's terms. He also has the most discerning eye for even the smallest of details, pointing out things we never would have noticed (saving us from many potential headaches) and explaining why something was far from ideal. Lesson point: glamor isn't everything! Not to mention he's an invaluable resource for home improvement in general. Energy; Frank displayed enthusiasm, attentiveness and alertness during each interaction. Incredible considering how many 10 home viewings we marathoned in a single day! Overall, Frank is a master at what he does. He even came out for our housewarming, which meant a lot to us. Our families enjoy his company and we will continue to think of Frank as a friend. We highly recommend his services. You really couldn't ask for more.
