Just wanted a simple mattress for under $200. I first went to a chain store near where I live. Big mistake. I was shown all kinds of mattresses (none of which I wanted) around $600 or $700 when I clearly said my max was $200 that I was willing to spend. The salesman tried to sell me a basic twin size, coil mattress claiming it was "on sale" for $300+ dollars, but then he sat me down and said that he'd give me a deal by selling it for $280. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Each time I tried to leave, the price magically reduced until his "final" offer reached $180 but I had to buy the mattress right there and then, or leave a deposit to pick it up later. *insert eye roll* Yup...buh-bye. He tried every tired salesman-y trick in the book, and I was there for like half and hour. Just based on that experience, I was hesitant to try again, but I'd heard so many good things about Rockland Mattress (a local company!) that I schlepped down to Nanuet to see if they had what I needed. I entered the door and was greeted and then left alone to browse (heaven!!). When I was ready, I approached Dan, and asked him what twin-sized mattresses he had. He didn't try to upsell me or come up with fake prices. He showed me what he had available that met what I was looking for, and told me the price (which was far lower than $180 and for a way better mattress). Boom....done. No haggling needed. I bought the mattress right then and there, and Dan even loaded it into my minivan for me. I think the whole transaction lasted less than 10 minutes. If you're in the market for a mattress, do NOT waste time going anywhere else. Just make a beeline to Rockland Mattress. There's a reason they've been in the business for over 30 years. You can really see that they value their customers as clients instead of commissions. I'll definitely be heading back there next time I'm in the market for a mattress!

Everyone left and an hour later I received a call from a friend who went to check for himself, and the customer ahead of him purchased the last one. I then called the store and asked the employee if they received any Pokemon product today and I was told no. Either some shady business is happening or the employees are ignorant as to what they're selling. Either way it's not a good look for business.

He DID NOT use my sink template for the very expensive Prep sink I bought and insisted he did. He measured the sink and cut the marble. The problem is the sink has a TIER for cutting boards etc. The countertop was cut incorrectly at the sink so the accessories can not be used properly. If or if not familiar with this type of sink, the sink needs to be cut out correctly to the sink template in order to be correct. He placed the blame on me when he had the sink and template in his possession. Very bad business practices and I do not recommend using this place.

For $200, you expect a beanbag to function as a kind of a sturdy sofa seat with little or no…read moreissues. Yet after sitting on it for several minutes your weight collapses the beans in the middle so your butt hits the floor, so you constantly have to readjust the beans. It's very uncomfortable if it's on a carpet and close to unsittable if it's a hardwood floor. I think the beanbag only stays mostly sturdy if you lie down on it almost flat; but that's obviously not something anyone but a small child can do. This was in the beginning. I've had it for about 6 months and it's a good portion of its sturdiness. So have to do this many times a day, fun. Also, the cover is mostly nylon and is not the smoothest or most comfortable surface; I wrap a satiny microfiber blanket around it, which itself requires constant readjustment as the blanket pulls up in the back. So I have to readjust this beanbag at least a dozen times per day in total. And that's if I'm just on it for an hour or 2. Yippee. Also, I originally bought the longer Gumby-looking one whose name I forget and don't care to look up and it had the same collapsing problem. When I went to exchange it within the policy window the salesman was not pleased and didn't hide that. Should've taken that as a sign and just returned it and taken my chances with a beanbag at Amazon or Walmart. Way overpriced and way too many issues for a simple beanbag at $200.
