I used to get my eyewear from them 20 years ago. When my cousin kept showing up in great eyewear, I finally asked where she was getting them. To my surprise it was from Six Rivers Optical! I had VSP Insurance and was getting my glasses from my optician, but the last pair left me flat, so I decided to take a look at SRO. Boy, am I glad that I did! First of all, Marty recognized me from back in the day! mind you, i had dark hair, lets be honest I actually still had hair! I found the perfect pair of glasses that gave me the look I have been searching for. Marty's perfectionism is just what I want from my optical dispenser. To how the glasses sit on my face to how the vision lines up. I have progressive lens and I am super picky about my vision. When he delivered the final product, it was beyond my expectations. I really liked Dr. Gellner as she spent plenty of time with me to cover everything very thoroughly, especially as I had just had cataract surgery and needed a follow-up exam for my eye and new glasses as well. I got a new pair of frames & lenses and the staff was very friendly & helpful with picking out my new glasses, calling me right when they arrived, etc. Highly recommended!

I came in for an exam and new glasses and he proceeded to tell me in a very condescending voice that I would have to pay for my glasses because my insurance wouldn't pay again until next year. He spoke loudly, and it was slightly embarassing. Thank you for telling me how my insurance works buddy, but I got it handled. Thanks. They were also running late today. My appointment was at 1, it's now 1:20 and I'm still waiting. I hear this guy making reminder phone calls to people for appointments, couldn't they have called me to let me know they were running late? People do have lives..... Well, it has now been another 10 minutes. I'm alone in the lobby and no one has even checked in with me to tell me how much longer it's going to be. Ain't nobody got time for that! Time to walk out.

Of course he was being sarcastic and my having a sense of humor and capable of laughing at myself, I took it in stride and have related my experience with him to subsequent optometrists that I've seen since. Virtually every optometrist I've had before or since Dr. Kaiser has commented it's rare they have a patient with my level of correction required. I usually quip, "Well, at least you don't want to take me in the back alley and shoot me!".

She acts like you're inconveniencing her by asking her to do her job!! HORRIBLE ATTITUDE! I called Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday asking for them to email me my Rx. Each day she said she could send it to me by the end of the day. When the end of the day on Wednesday rolls around I still haven't gotten it. So I call back and the receptionist gets mad at ME saying that she needed at least a week's notice before she could send it out (as of today it's been a over a week and i still haven't gotten it). Apparently an email is a lot of effort for this girl.

Steve and Phil are very knowledgeable and don't try to upsell you anything you do not need, and are very patient helping you pick out glasses, answer your questions, and help you make the right choices for you. It's a refreshing no pressure experience. I've been coming to them for years and never once had a negative experience.
