Came to order the Friday sandwich to go. The interior here is welcoming with a comfortable looking bar and well spaced tables and a backyard seating as well. The staff were welcoming and took my order in a timely manner. The Friday schnitzel sandwich was delicious! It has all the fixing of the shuk. If your looking for some delicious food come give them a try

This place is so good and fresh that I want to gatekeep it. You MUST get the hummus. I recommend the mushroom one. You can tell they use quality ingredients and is run by a family who's from the region. The sauces are also delicious and range from nonspicy to spicy so everyone has something they can eat. You can even ask for some to go :)

Great lunch spot to walk in if you're craving mediterranean food - liked all the plate options which give you your main dish as well as the sides

What a gem reasonable find! Friend and I got a hummus, sandwich, and falafel side to share and end up paying a little over $30pp. - mushroom hummus: extremely creamy, do NOT skimp put on it. - snitczel sandwich: huge, comes in amazing challah bread and goes great with all the sauces they provide you with - falafel: the best vegetarian chicken nugget cravings, just the right bite size and delicious with their red sauce Lastly, the best is their server/bartender. They really took pride in the noms they serve. They also made the experience really fun. The restaurant also has a cute patio in the back, great for small parties. The indoor is also super cute.

The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and quick. The matbucha and eggplant dips were delicious and tasted like being in someone's home in Israel. My husband had the schnitzel sandwich and loved it too. The mushroom hummus was good too but a little different than I'm used to with the mushrooms kind of roasted instead of sautéed with onion and oil.

This has become one of my new favorite restaurants! The staff, the food, the setting were all perfect. We got the Spicy Fish Plate, the Lamb Kebab Plate, and Falafel to share. Each plate comes with half off hot appetizers which is why got the falafel. The lamb kebab was my favorite. The hummus was so smooth and creamy and the lamb was juicy and cooked perfectly. The pita was warm and soft, one of the best pitas I've had! The spicy fish plate had a deliciously spiced sauce and the fish was tender. The challah it came with was nice and toasted on the outside but still soft on the inside. The falafel was also crunch on the outside but soft on the inside and flavored well, it wasn't dry at all. Overall, would reorder every dish we got! The staff was so sweet, always checking up on us without being too overbearing. They were very welcoming. There's bar seating, indoor table seating, and outdoor patio seating. It's an open kitchen concept, so it's also fun to see them making each dish fresh.

Stopped in for a glass of wine and a dessert and was welcomed again by the charming owner Tal. This is one of my favorite neighborhood placed adjacent to Stuyvesant Town. Just charming and a great hidden outside cafe!

I want to go back here so bad the food is incredible! Delicious, fresh and authentic. The place itself is beautiful designed. We also stocked up on some Israeli snacks, what a clever idea. Service was wonderful and warm. Seriously can't say enough good things, wishing the owners and staff best of luck, I'll be back on my next trip to NYC!

This place is incredible! Every dish is bursting with flavor--savory, fresh, and consistently delicious. I love coming here with friends, and my kids absolutely adore it. There's always many options on the menu they enjoy, no complaining when we're here Easily a 10/10.

    Lamb Kebob Al Haesh Sandwich

First time here I ordered the lamb kebab, fast service and it was loaded with tahini sauce, fresh veggies and of course a generous portion of chopped up lamb, however, I think next time I'm gonna try it with the amba sauce on the side. Now, as you can tell from my picture, the presentation is casual yet appealing, with and indoor/outdoor style patio, I got to pretend I was escaping the city for a while. Now. What you don't see is the service and communication about the menu from Noah! And that was what really got me to not only leave a review but also boosted my opinion from 4 to 5 stars. Finally, I am interested in seeing what their Sunday brunch has to offer. Highly recommend, bring a friend.

My first foray into Albanian food and was so surprised by how different it was from Greek food. It was amazing, but perhaps not my favorite cuisine though I am eager to come back and try more. Qofte (6/5) - iabsolutely fantastic. Meat, vegetables, and potatoes were paired so well together. White sauce was delicious! 3. Grilled Octopus (4/5) - this was OK. Perhaps octopus was overcooked? grilled vegetables were simple, but yummy and delicious. 4. Kajmak (4/5) - I was expecting its texture to be more firm like greet yogurt, but it was a bit watery. From start to finish everything missed the mark: The hummus was bland and tasted like someone forgot the spices. The doma (dolmas) were disappointing and didn't have the rich flavor they should. Even the baklava, which should be a sweet highlight, was dry, lackluster, and honestly not enjoyable. The Turkish coffee was so bitter it was almost undrinkable -- if you like bitter coffee, maybe it's your thing, but it wasn't what I expected. They market themselves as Turkish and Middle Eastern cuisine, but what I ate didn't come close to what I'd consider good food in that category. My stomach was still growling afterward -- and not in a "I want more" way, but in a "why did I eat this?" way. The staff and service were fine and the atmosphere is pretty, but at the end of the day it's just not worth it when the food itself is so underwhelming. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for authentic or tasty Turkish/Middle Eastern food.

I got to try a variety of different items, inducing: ayran, chicken Adana sandwich on home bread, Turkish tea, and rice pudding. The ayran was probably the best I've ever had in my life. It was so refreshing, the perfect amount of salt, so good. And it's homemade. I would highly recommend you try this drink regardless of what you order, it's that good. The chicken Adana sandwich was also quite nice. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned in a good portion with some lettuce, onions, tomatoes as well. The bread was great. It's served with two wonderful, flavorful sauces: hot sauce and yogurt sauce (I much prefer the latter). Portion is incredible for the price. Then, I was initially interested in trying the fig pudding for dessert but they were out of it, so I went with the rice pudding. Again, a huge portion that is well worth the price. So creamy, so good. And, they brought out 2 Turkish teas for free to make up for not having the fig! The people are just very nice here, and the tea was also lovely, piping hot and just perfect. It's a pretty small restaurant but doesn't get crowded early on. They were playing some Turkish music while I ate, and I really enjoyed it. To drink, I ordered the Tehrani Mule; a take on the moscow with a house made ginger lime juice. 8/10; a tad watery. We decided to go family style with ordering and chose the mediterranean salad, kotlet, and falafel to start. The falafel was perfectly crisp with a slightly smoky outer crust that added really great texture and flavor. A bit dry tho -- Needed the hummus and Mezze Platter to dress it up a little. Salad was refreshing, crispy and a great palette cleanser across the table. The combo platter + mixed rice was fabulous. Chicken was tender and came right off the bone (something I'm new to but it was good!). It came with a side of tzatziki and persian zhoug (?) - a minty and herby chutney that just added another layer to the aromatics of the dish. Although the rice was great, it was a really large portion even for the group of 5. It would've been nice to have the option to split to a half portion of vegetables or different grain to balance quantity.
