I have been going here for several years. The biggest problem is that they can't hold on to their…read morewaxers. I've had several waxers complain to me during my waxing time about how management treats them. Because they can't hold on to their staff, my appointments are constantly rescheduled. Recently, I booked an appointment for 5 weeks out and a few days before, it was rescheduled for a later time. Keep in mind I have a 2 year old and 6 month old twins so I try to strategically book these appointments during their nap time. I said I would make the new time work. The day of the appointment, I was 4 minutes late. Totally my fault. When I arrived, I was told they had a 4 minute grace period. They acknowledged that I was within the 4 minute grace period but they still couldn't do both of my services (eyebrow wax and tint). I questioned this policy - what is the point of a "grace" period if you don't follow it? They then said that they had another appointment booked 15 minutes later so that's why they couldn't do it. When I booked my appointment initially, it was 30 minutes because it was two services. It's always 30 minutes. I think it was shortened to 15 minutes because they had to reschedule me. I'm super disappointed in the lack of transparency. They also now won't reply to any of my texts. I know they are receiving them because I received an automated message that they would reply during business hours. I would recommend going to the Fairfax location over this one.

Service is always excellent, peaceful and won't rob you of all you have. The only trade-offs might be that it is not glamorous but I will trade glamour for great service and reasonable prices any day. Also the area is small so it probably isn't great for large groups (i.e. a wedding party or birthday celebration) as there aren't a lot of places to sit for more than 2 people outside of the 2 treatment rooms. All that being said Cloud 9 Spa is my go to place every time! Love them!

Walid! I'm in love with my hair again because of you!…read more Absolutely love my haircut! You did an incredible job with the shape, layers, and movement. The way you cut the front to frame my face is especially beautiful, it has so much volume and falls perfectly without looking over styled. It's polished, flattering, and still feels effortless. I've been testing out new salons since moving here with the hope of finding one I really like that…read morealso doesn't break the bank, and had high hopes for this one based on the reviews. I only ever do simple cuts, nothing fancy. My haircut, done by Anderson (a level 3 stylist), is objectively good. The skill was there. But it's definitely shorter than I wanted it. Went in for a lob, came out with an asymmetrical bob...Honestly I was panicking while he was drying it because it was starting to look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I asked if he could style it like in the reference pictures I showed (simple waves, to reduce Farquaad-ness). He tried to do it with the brush/dryer, which obviously wasn't working, and didn't want to use a flatiron. So I just suffered through scalding heat on my scalp and hair pulling. I got told I don't have curly hair. I got told I don't have frizzy hair. I, in fact, have both of those. Some other minor things: 1. When I got home I had some hair that was noticeably longer than the rest, like it never got cut. So...I had to do it. Just a few strands, but normally stylists check for that when your hair is dry. 2. I almost never use heat on my hair, so I asked for recs and mentioned a specific brand doesn't work for me. He immediately said he loves that brand. I said yeah...but it doesn't work for me. Anything else? "Any salon brand." Cool. Not helpful. 3. Asked for something at the end to tame the pieces that were sticking out (again, I have frizzy hair). He looked...confused? Smoothing as a last step has been standard at every other place I've been to. There is nothing in the whole salon like that? Also, my introvert-self just wants to go somewhere where I don't have to be engaged in conversation the whole time. Anyway. Won't go back, my hunt continues.

A family member asked what they could get me and I said I'd love a massage. It was my part to do the research and find where I wanted to go. I've done the ultra luxe massages at the Four Seasons and I've also done Massage Envy. It's really the masseuse that makes the difference. I looked for best local massages near me and found Serendipity. My muscles definitely needed a hard touch, not just a relaxing massage. I appreciated the extra attention to the sore spots I noted. The process upon arrival was unclear.
