Play area at Ft Nugent Park

Took the kiddos here to burn down a little energy. What a great park. It's huge. This park has several massive fields and surrounded on three sides by trees. The play structure offers lots of tunnels, climby things, swings, and has a little bit area. There is a walking path that circles the play structure so you can get your steps in while the kiddos play. Additionally, there is a covered picnic area. Someone was having a birthday party here. What a great idea. Feed all the children sugar and then let them run amok at the park instead of your dining room. Will definitely be coming back.

By far the best park in town. The equipment for kids to play with is extensive. There is a little kids area and an older kids area. Multiple slides, swings, a whole huge structure, tunnels, climbing, community art, and lots of kids to play with. There is even a shelter for the parents right in the thick of the playground. If that isn't enough there is also a frisbee golf course, football fields, baseball field, soccer fields, a walking/exercise path, basketball hoops, and I have even seen places where I see people fly remote controlled planes. There are picnic structures and it is right on the (free) bus line. I am also going to take exception to Tatiana's review. It is a great park. Yes it is the kind of park with manicured grass, playground equipment, soccer/baseball/football fields, a golf course, basketball courts, and public art. I rate things for what they are not what they aren't. It isn't deception pass state park, but I don't give deception pass a bad review because it doesn't have a baseball field. That is asinine. It is a great city park. Like I said - best park in town.

I came to the park in a trip to the island because I heard it had a disc golf course, and I love me some disc golf! Great little course overall! I like that there are adult tees and kid, and on each hole there is a spot to hang your bag, extra bonus! Most of the holes are in the woods, but not too much brush, it was nicely maintained. No 5 star because I hated the holes along the fence, they were dumb.

Very clean and fun park. All three of my kids ages 15, 13, and 6 enjoyed running around the playground.

Me if the best playgrounds/parks we've ever been to. Always clean and always well kept. The kids love the massive play area.

There was a sandbox, swing set, a swimming lagoon, beach access, a playground and the cutest splash pad. We were just looking for a grassy area to sit and play and when we found Windjammer Park, we hit the jackpot! I highly recommend this park. It has something for everyone and it's dog friendly!

Windjammer Park is located along the waterfront in Oak Harbor. It has a paved walking path that…read moreruns along the beach, but not on the beach itself, that has staggered informational placards to the side. The park is a pleasant place to come even when there is thick wildfire smoke. The breeze from the bay might not completely clear the smoke away, but at least it provides some circulation of the air. My grandma and I like to come here and eat lunch together. We like to sit and eat at a covered pavilion stocked with picnic tables and a kitchen, though the kitchen requires advance reservation to use. A playground is adjacent to the eating area. My grandma likes to people and pet watch as we eat, I prefer to watch the water and try and spot any birds or other critters that might be out. It can get a bit cold depending on the weather and the wind. Even in the summer months, we both bring an outer garment to wear. The parking lot by the baseball fields is where we park and it can get a bit crowded if busy. Still, it is a parking lot easy to maneuver in.

We love this beach so much that I hesitated sharing a review on this beach for a long time. I…read morecertainly do not want this place to be so popular that it gets crowded all the time. However, I find myself recommending this beach to my loved ones visiting Seattle time after time. So, I randomly did a search on Yelp for Rosario Beach and I see that I am not alone. I wanted to echo everyone's love for Rosario Beach and share its beauty. It is about a 90-minute drive north of Seattle. It is a part of Deception Pass State Park so you are required to have a Discover Pass to park in its parking lot. The parking lot is on the smaller side and in summer, the lot gets full most of the time. However, we usually find an available spot after waiting a short while as I usually see folks staying for a short while and then leaving to check out another part of Deception Pass State Park. So, even if the lot seems full, just be patient. Since it is a state park, there is a clean bathroom facility with flushing toilets. The bathroom is just a short walk away from the beach. There are a few picnic tables with BBQ grills. We see weddings, family gatherings, couples having a picnic lunch, landscape photographers, bird watchers, and many more. Such an inviting place for all. And the beach. The water is usually calm as it is a cove. And yes, the water is very cold as we live in the PNW. It sure does not stop our children from getting into the water no matter the weather. It is beautiful. I was a landscape photography hobbyist (more active in the past) and I was immediately drawn to everything this place had to offer in terms of photography opportunities. If you are into photography, you will love this place. Every year, we come here to kayak, SUP, hike, check out the tide pools, have lunch, take a nap, get tanned, and just hang out with people I love. Since I'm from Hawaii, I wish the water was warmer but I'm slowly getting used to the idea that I live in the PNW. Haha! Alooooooha! from the beautiful Rosario beach!
