The park is handicap accessible with a ramp up to the top level of the playground. There are two age group playgrounds. The sign that is posted says 5-7 but a 3 year old can easily play on the little playground with lots of slides. There are no swings however, but there are public bathrooms that were very clean. The park is also connected to the skate park. There are a few picnic benches for lunch time but no covered areas to escape the rain. The park is not fenced off so you need to keep an eye out for little ones. It is an awesome park with lots of activities to keep little ones entertained.

There is no shade. It gets really hot during the summer. All in all, I like the park for its age range. I wish there was a bathroom. We've had to leave early a bunch of times because we need a bathroom.

The only shame was that big kids were at this playground throwing the wood shavings and throwing bottles at each other, not good for the little kids playing nearby. Many of the families left. This might have been an one off but it wasn't pleasant having them throw things from across the playground. There is plenty of grass area to run and play sports. My friend and I walked around to enjoy the flowers and take a walk to the beach. I was not fit for the trek down to the beach though, so my friend went and reported it's really beautiful. There were swallows flying at a crazy fast speed and zooming around us. Felt like Snow White. There are bathrooms here that are the standard expected for a park, but the one I was in didn't have a light at all so I'd avoid it after dark.

It's located next to a bunch of sports fields so it was busy when we stopped by. There's a fun tire swing, a pole to slide down, an interactive music toy, slides, monkey bars and so much more. Cute things to climb in and on. I love the military theme. It's close to a base so it makes sense.

Very convenient and nicely maintained "park" with an old railroad bridge over the river. The trail,…read morewhich is paved, is part of a larger walking and cycling trail that winds through this part of town. I put park in quote marks because it's really just those two things - a walking/cycling trail and a bridge. There isn't any large grassy areas, for instance. I wouldn't say that going down to the water was encouraged yet there were some folks down there. Lots of people with relatives, kids, dogs, lots of cyclists going both directions. It is a birding draw - although the birds were being coy on the day we were there. Importantly, it is right next to (meaning the bridge is right next to) the Dungeness River Nature Center, which is definitely worth checking out and won't slow you down if you are antsy to walk/jog/cycle - it's small but very nice (reviewed separately). As an FYI and this is not something you should be worried about necessarily but this area does have coyotes - more so at night.
