It's just a small counter in the market with some seating, but there are also tables in the market. You order on the iPad but the guy working there was nice and helpful too. Got the classic scallion pancake burrito which was out of this world. The fried cheese really makes it, and the thick scallion pancake is just scrumptious. At $16, it might seem steep but it's really quite filling since it's so heavy. I've been wanting to try this place for so long, and I'm glad I finally did! The burrito filling was good, although I think the meat was a bit too salty for my taste. After seeing this place go viral on IG, I'm glad they have a more accessible option at Olly Olly! I came here shortly after 12 PM on a Friday and there was a line of about 5 people in front of me. They only offer only version of the burrito and you can buy their bodega sauce on the side (not worth it imo -$2 for a small cup or you can buy a bottle). Since there was only one food item on the menu, the line moves pretty quick. Since they make the burritos to order, we were quoted a wait time of 25 minutes. I really liked the scallion pancake - it is doughy but I think if it was flakey like a traditional scallion pancake it wouldn't be able to hold the fillings. I liked the chewy texture too, so I don't think a flakey crust would work well for the burrito concept. The filling was really good - the pork was flavorful and the guacamole really balanced out the greasiness. I wish they added more guacamole though because I liked how it ramped up the flavor profile. The bodega sauce was nothing to write home about - it tasted a little too oily for my liking and didn't improve the burritos flavor in any way. I would skip it to save some money or just get one and share it. For $14, it is pretty steep for a burrito, but you can't get a scallion burrito anywhere else in the city. Interesting, but far away, overhyped, and perhaps overpriced. I happened to be on the far west part of the city and got to finally try this scallion burrito I saw online elsewhere. I visited this spot inside of the Olly Olly Market (which itself isn't super easy to spot the 26th street entrance.) There was no line when I was there midday around 1pm on a Thursday. Location and maybe price may have a bit to do with that. It was $14, but that isn't much more than a burrito from Dos Toros these days. They try to upsell you on the sauces to get sides of them, but no thanks, since it says it comes with the sauce already in the description. I got it and took it to eat on the way out. Overall, I'd agree with others that is a bit too salty. The lemongrass sauce definitely was in there, but just in one little pocket. It was tasty. They probably should just put more on there for the price you pay. I honestly appreciate the scallion pancake, but I don't think it adds enough flavor or texture that I'd pay a premium to go here over Dos Toros. There's a ton of hype around this place and I've been wanting to try it for the last few years but never got around to it. My friend who was visiting nicely agreed to grab some for us for dinner. They were good - not sold in out in minutes good, but a fun innovative twist to a normal burrito, and enjoyable every once in a while good. It's a scallion pancake with pork filling, so it's going to be greasy and salty. I will say the pork filling was definitely on the salty side, whereas the chicken option was more balanced, and it was a little dry. Walked over to this spot after work. It is a little out off the way as there is not close transit stops. Once i got there after work around 5pm, it was mostly empty. Forsyth Fire Escape was easy to locate and their menu is nice and simple. I ordered their scallion pancake burrito and was surprised at how good it was. The meat was perfect and in good quantity. the scallion pancake itself could have used more scallions and be a little flatter as it was thick. It felt like a nice thick flour tortilla but it was still delicious. Along with the burrito, I got a coconut Thai Ice tea (I got the last of it) which was a little on the thick side. Not sure if this as cause i got the bottom of the barrel of it but the taste was still tasty but left a sort of grainy feeling in my mouth. With the burrito I got one of each sauce; the Lemongrass chili crisp oil (5/5) and the Bodega Sauce (4/5) the Lemongrass oil was spicy enough that it left a tingle but you can keep eating more. The bodega sauce was good but not as memorable. I will have to return for the burrito and the service. The owner/staff was very friendly. we got to talking as they make the burritos fresh and it takes about 5-10 min to make.
