I decided to use Cole Automotive based on multiple recommendations posted to our local area Facebook group. Although this place in Forney was quite a trek for me (living in Rockwall), I'm glad I made the drive. They were great! I worked with David and we booked an appointment for to drop off my car the following week and said they would do their best to have it ready for me in 3 days (which was the maximum amount of time the insurance company was going to allow for a rental car). Sure enough, they had it ready for me to pick up 3 days later and it looked great. Not only that, but I had a small area on the side of my car with scratches from a prior incident and they were able to buff it out for me to where it's hardly even noticeable (saving me a $900 repair job), and they were so amazingly awesome that they didn't even charge me extra for it! They even offered to drive me over to the rental car company if I needed a way to get there. These folks were awesome and did a great job and delivered excellent customer service. It was definitely worth the drive. No one ever wants to have to find themselves in a situation where you have to take your car to a body shop, but if you do, I recommend going to Cole's and ask for David.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Woods Transmission & General Repair is hands-down…read morethe most unprofessional, disorganized, and downright shady shop I've ever dealt with. They will waste your time, your money, and your patience. The staff acts like they're doing you a favor just by acknowledging you, when in reality they can't be bothered to lift a finger unless it's to run your card. My "repair" took weeks longer than promised, cost way more than quoted, and the car came back with NEW problems it didn't have before. When I pointed this out, they shrugged it off and tried to upsell me on even more repairs. The shop itself is a mess--looks like no one there has cared in years. Phones go unanswered, no one knows what's going on, and accountability is nonexistent. I wouldn't trust these people to check tire pressure, let alone touch a transmission. Save yourself the headache. Go literally anywhere else. Hopefully this shop can serve the city better when it gets turned into a parking lot.

My car app showed that the vehicle remained parked in the same spot for three hours. During that time, no one opened or closed the hood, turned the ignition on or off, or opened and shut the doors. Yet I was called and told that the car was ready for pickup, only to be told afterward that the engine warning light can only be cleared at the dealership. I took my car to another local auto repair shop, got a free scan, and they were able to pinpoint a loose connection and fix the problem. This level of service and disregard for their customers time, energy, and money, is completely unacceptable. Run! (Photos for reference) Background- So I took my car for an oil change (super expensive!) last Friday and immediately, I too, had the engine light come on as I was driving it out the parking lot and didn't think much of it and thought it will reset. The light persisted throughout the weekend and Monday after work, took it back in. I was asked to leave my car there so they can take a look at it. So here I am without my car and need to get to work. I have a bad feeling about this reading some of the other people's negative experiences on here. Scott's (and they also own Carl's) staff is already trying to deny that they did something so I will update this post with the outcome of the situation.
