I strongly recommend staying far away from this unlicensed landscaping company…read more Before hiring, make sure to ask whether Hailey has a valid contractor's license. Toward the end of our project, we discovered that she does not, which raised serious concerns about the quality and legality of the work performed. Our experience with Happy Days Landscaping has been extremely disappointing. We initially left a positive review, but after ongoing issues, we had no choice but to retract it. She recommended decomposed granite (DG) for our front yard. We expressed concern about our front yards steep slope and our worries about the DG weathering away during rain fall. Hailey assured us it would not be a problem since she would be compacting the decomposed granite and she said they add a sealant to the material to make "like concrete"--but that proved to be incorrect. After the first rainfall, the decomposed granite began washing away. She attempted to fix the issue by applying the sealant and compacting the DG which she was supposed to apply initially, claiming it would solve the problem. The DG continues to erode to this day. Communication was horrible and accountability was nonexistent. We had to repeatedly chase her down for responses, and it was during this time that we learned she was not licensed. Only after confronting her about this, she finally started returning our calls and offered to address some of the problems. Unfortunately, the issues have only worsened. As the DG continues to wash away with each rainfall, the irrigation system she installed--made with cheap plastic hoses--has become exposed and damaged from the sun. There are now ruptures everywhere in the system making it useless and as a result, our plants are dying. We have started hand watering to attempt to save the plants. Overall, this has been a costly and frustrating experience, and I would strongly caution others to be thorough and do their due diligence before considering this company.

We contacted Artscape and from the get-go, Ben responded promptly. Ben asked us to fill out a landscape needs/wants questionnaire which provided him with a general idea of our vision. My wife wanted more of a succulent dominant landscape whereas I wanted more color and plant textures. Ben spent a considerable time incorporating our thoughts into a cohesive plan and a landscape design to fit our topography and climate. This was a dynamic process with a lot of communication. With our budget in mind, Ben provided alternative plant choices and explained the reasoning in a thoughtful, kind, and professional manner. Ben is an excellent communicator and designer. Once we agreed on the plan, Oscar and Melvin completed the installation. They were always on time, worked tirelessly and surpassed our expectations of professionalism. We received status updates at each milestone and were informed on what work was to take place leading to the next milestone. During the install, they found some leaks in our irrigation system and fixed the leaks. Oscar went above and beyond to help us find and install a modern sprinkler monitoring system which is working wonderfully. We love our new front landscape and updated backyard landscape. Even our neighbors have remarked how much they love looking at the new landscape! We highly recommend Artscape! Ben's leadership and creativity in the design are unsurpassed, and Oscar and Melvin's plan execution produced a beautiful landscape which we will enjoy for years to come.

If you are browsing Yelp right now to look for a landscaper, you can stop your search since Flores Artscape is incredible. I was looking to redo my backyard since it was a little outdated and my old deck was starting to fall apart. Not only did Flores call me back right away, but they also quickly scheduled a consultation appointment and did a thorough walkthrough to show me their recommendations and ideas. I went with everything they suggested and I couldn't be happier. The finished product (new pavers, turf, plants, lighting, etc.) looks amazing. It feels like I have a high-end yard that matches my recently remodeled house. And the best part: their pricing is very competitive! I didn't pay an exorbitant amount and still feel like my new backyard looks expensive. Flores finished the job in only a couple weeks and the work team was at my house every day. I am so, so happy with the results and can't wait until they can come back and redo my front yard next. Hire this company immediately if you're looking for a landscape job. You will be very pleased.

On a project of this scale, finding a contractor you can genuinely trust to deliver top-tier build quality without cutting corners is rare, but Edgar and his team delivered on every front. They managed to execute the job efficiently and move fast without ever making the work feel rushed. Edgar approaches every aspect of the build with a true "measure twice, cut once" mentality, ensuring every detail was carefully thought out well before the concrete was poured. What truly sets Edgar apart from other contractors is his transparency and client-first mindset. Rather than making unilateral calls or pushing options that benefit his own bottom line, he presented every decision with clear options and thoughtful pros and cons. He never nickel-and-dimed small adjustments or weaponized formal change orders just to inflate the bill. Additionally, his crew was exceptionally professional, courteous, and respectful. As a landlord managing a property with tenants on-site, this was invaluable. While many contractors disregard tenants because they aren't the paying client, Edgar's crew treated everyone on the property with complete respect and care. Platinum Paving offers remarkably competitive pricing, but more importantly, the value and quality of their craftsmanship far exceed the rate they charge. If you have a large-scale project, especially on a rental or multi-unit property, do yourself a favor and get a quote from Platinum Paving before making a final decision. I highly recommend them!

The finished project exceeded our expectations, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The entire project took about nine months, with roughly half that time spent navigating Los Angeles County's permitting and approval process. Picture Build's permit coordinator did an excellent job keeping everything moving and minimizing delays. The demolition phase was exceptional. Luis and his crew removed our old pool in a neighborhood where heavy equipment wasn't an option, so most of the work had to be done by hand. Their skill, professionalism, and attention to detail were impressive. Once demolition was complete, a talented team of craftsmen brought our vision to life. They poured new concrete, built a beautiful stacked-stone retaining wall, and installed stunning travertine pavers throughout the patio. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. Our project manager, Jorge, kept both the demolition and construction phases running smoothly. Like any major project, we encountered a few minor challenges, but every issue was resolved quickly and professionally by Jorge or John Durso, the company's general manager. Special thanks as well to Max, our electrician, and Brian, the quality control supervisor and all-around problem solver, for their dedication and attention to detail. The final transformation is incredible. What was once an aging pool is now a beautiful, inviting outdoor living space where our family loves spending time together. Picture Build delivered exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer service throughout the entire project.

It didn't seem to phase this exceptional business. I feel like I hit the jackpot when I had Pasadena Garden Care respond to my call for help. Bryce went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience and as a result, we have hired this business to do our monthly maintenance. We hired Bryce and his team to help on many problem areas in our yard - including an area where a beehive lives with a cycle of very territorial bees. Pasadena Garden Care worked with us and wore bee suits to attend to our needs in this special garden. It's not just the bees. We also have a HUGE salcata tortoise that devours everything in its path. We have a fenced in garden where the bees are and Gamera tried to break in and devour my tomato plants, strawberries and most likely knock over a hive for some honey. The workers worked with our little monster to ensure our plants and "child" were safe. I am so happy we decided to go with Bryce and Pasadena Garden Care. I have only had an exceptional experience. In a world of mediocrity and disappointment, working with Pasadena Garden Care is truly a miracle!

No stress. The thing our friends tell us when they visit is "It feels like it has always been this way. It feels like a natural extension of the house." Besides the results, several aspects of HOW they work impressed us: First, although this was a fairly complex, multi-month project with a few unexpected wrinkles (thrown in by us), they completed it on time and on budget. The one and only change order was small and was well communicated in advance. We chose to proceed and it was all crystal clear. Second, their workers are top-notch. They were professional, organized, and detail-oriented craftsman. Every single one. Walls are straight and level with deep foundations and proper reinforcement; walkways are level; every detail is perfect, including the underground details that no one is ever going to see. They show up on time, work hard and leave it clean, *safe* and organized at the end of the day, every day, which we appreciated because we have young kids. Third, this is no fly-by-night organization like some in the landscaping world. Karen and Omar have long-term employees who have insurance and benefits, take their breaks etc. They do things right and aren't going to open you up to a lawsuit if someone gets hurt. They listened to our feedback and adapted the plan in ways that made a big difference, working with materials from our house that made the new space feel like it has always been this way. We love our new yard and would recommend them without hesitation.
