They also let me pick a handful of dresses off the racks as backups. I tried on the one they shipped for me, and I loved it. I was a little hesitant because it was a blush color, but while they were waiting to find out if it came in white, we tried on the rest of the dresses. I was emotional when I tried on THE dress because it was beautiful, I was alone, and I was missing my mom. Lisa had a motherly, warm energy that made me feel special. After going to 10 boutiques and trying on 50 dresses, I said yes to the dress! Going into my appointment, I was incredibly overwhelmed by the thought of finding the dress. I had an idea of what I thought I wanted, but I was nervous about making such a big decision. We actually arrived about 45 minutes early, and the doors were locked because another bride was enjoying her VIP appointment. My one piece of advice for future brides is to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment, as you won't be able to come inside and browse beforehand. I completely understood and actually appreciated that they were giving another bride the privacy and attention she deserved during her special moment! I brought a fairly large group with me, which made the experience so much fun, although admittedly a little chaotic! Amaya and Alyssa were absolutely INCREDIBLE. They were so kind, professional, patient, and genuinely fun to be around. Not only did they cater to me throughout the entire appointment, but they also made sure every single person in my party felt welcomed and taken care of. I truly felt so spoiled! I tried on a total of six dresses, but there was something about dress number four that kept calling me back. Sure enough, I SAID YES TO THE DRESS! What I loved most was that I never once felt rushed. I was able to truly soak in the moment and appreciate one of the biggest and most exciting decisions of my wedding planning journey. We took SO many pictures in my dress, and Amaya and Alyssa gave me all the time I needed to enjoy every second. I also wanted to lift my dress, as it was just a bit too long. When I took my dress to Altered Bride, Flor was so welcoming and detailed in her work. She explained everything she wanted to do very thoroughly and with honesty. She described how each alteration would be done to the dress which really helped me understand how much work goes into it! I took my dress here 3 months before my wedding and they absolutely nailed it! When I picked up my dress at the final fitting, it truly fit like a glove. It was absolutely perfect! Each fitting was very personable, warm, welcoming and so exciting! After my wedding, I decided to take my dress back to Altered Bride to clean and preserve it.
