Had no problem getting reservations a few dates before, had a great outdoor table that was definitely better than being inside. Our server-Makayla, arrived immediately, helped us through their brunch menu and returned shortly with our drinks. I have to tell ya that their "limitless" Bloody Marys and Mimosas for only $25 is a great deal!! Of course we had to order their FAMOUS Banana Old Fashioned, a Bloody Mary and a Hugo Spritz. We ordered the following brunch entrees: -Truffle Mushroom Omelette -Signature Allswell Burger -Full Monty Sandwich -Chicken & Waffle Stack EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, HOT AND VERY TASTY! Job WELL DONE the Vicky and her ENTIRE team! This place is definitely my new go to place to eat. Can't wait to see their new restaurant concept that's going into the old McGrath's location on Main Street in LWR. If they do as good of a job there as they do in Waterside, I'll definitely have another place to add to my 'regular' places to go!

We decided to stop in Sarasota for a quick lunch halfway through our recent road trip and…read morediscovered the beautiful Waterside Place neighborhood. There are quite a few restaurants to choose from in this little area, and Allswell caught our eye. It is a elevated gastrobar and Irish pub serving up comfort food favorites. The interior has a vintage art deco feel and it was pretty chill on a late Sunday afternoon. We got a table inside -- they also have a large outdoor patio, but it's too hot right now. The service was quick which we appreciated. I started with the zero-proof "Spritz Me Softly" (lyres italian aperitif, sparkling lemonade, fever tree elderflower tonic, & citrus) which was light and refreshing. For food, we ordered the French onion soup and the classic fish & chips. Both were delicious and their fries are perfection. They have really mastered the French onion soup. My reason for giving 4 stars is that they seem to have a fly problem inside, which made the experience much less enjoyable. We were being swarmed by tons of flies throughout our entire meal, constantly swatting them away. They kept landing on my husband & son's heads. We were seated at the table nearest to the kitchen. All the doors & windows were closed, so it was a bit concerning that there were so many. Hopefully they get that issue sorted out.

My husband explained our reservation to the hostess, but even after she checked with others at the front, they wouldn't accommodate our indoor seating request. The food was delicious as always! Sharing a few pictures of what we ordered, although I forgot to take one of the affogato--it was delicious too. We'll definitely keep coming back to try more of the menu. Thank you again, Adrian and Adam!

I had the miso soup along with the Ichi and Shishi rolls, plus the Summer Hamachi, and WOW, WOW, WOW! Everything tasted unbelievably fresh. The Summer Hamachi especially was so fresh, delicate, and flavorful. You could truly taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. My taste buds were going crazy! And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we indulged in the most amazing ube dessert. The perfect ending to an incredible meal! Trena was our server, and she was attentive, warm, and extremely kind throughout our entire experience. From Our Favorite Weekly Date Night to a Restaurant We Won't Be Returning To…read more For the past three months, my wife and I have made Zoto our Thursday night tradition. Every single Thursday, without missing a week, we've chosen this restaurant for our date night. We typically spend $150-$200 per visit, sometimes even coming twice in the same week. Unfortunately, what was once a place we genuinely enjoyed has become an increasingly disappointing experience. Over the past month, the quality of service has deteriorated to an unacceptable level. Waiting 30 minutes for a simple drink has become frustratingly common. What makes it worse isn't just the wait--it's the complete lack of acknowledgment. No apology, no explanation, not even a basic courtesy to let us know what's happening. And this is happening even when the restaurant is nowhere near full. The cleanliness and overall atmosphere are equally concerning. The countertops near the high-chair seating area are visibly dusty, which is disappointing for a restaurant positioning itself as an upscale dining destination. Adding to the unwelcoming atmosphere is a chef who regularly works in full view of guests with an unpleasant, seemingly irritated expression. While I don't expect anyone to smile constantly, I do expect a restaurant to create an environment where guests feel welcome rather than uncomfortable. The most disappointing part is that we genuinely wanted to keep coming back. We weren't occasional visitors who happened to have one bad experience. We were loyal, weekly customers who consistently chose Zoto over countless other dining options in Sarasota. That loyalty, however, seems to mean very little. At $150-$200 per visit, I don't believe it's unreasonable to expect attentive service, basic cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere. Price alone doesn't make a restaurant upscale. Hospitality, consistency, and attention to detail do. After giving Zoto multiple chances over the past several weeks, we've finally decided to take our Thursday date nights elsewhere--somewhere our business feels appreciated and the food and service justify the price. A beautiful restaurant can attract customers once. Only exceptional hospitality makes them want to return. Unfortunately, Zoto seems to have forgotten that. What a shame to see a place we once loved become somewhere we no longer look forward to visiting.
