I don't go to the movies any other way than this. Food is above average, seating is wonderful. Pricing is fair.

Love going to Fork and Screen, but would like to encourage better quality food. The hamburger meat was of the lowest quality - could not consume. The next time, I ordered fries - not the best. If management needs to raise prices to offer better quality products, I encourage them to do so. I would much rather pay a higher price and enjoy my meal. It is common sense that we have to pay a premium for an exclusive theater experience - patrons understand this and we are willing to pay for it. I gave a four-star rating because other than the food quality, the service and experience was excellent. Looking forward to seeing improvements in Fork and Screen - big thank you to the owners in fulfilling such a long-awaited need for frequent movie goers. read more

We have been to Fork and Screen several times and enjoy the food (I love the fries - crispy on the outside, so good) and we love the S'mores Pizzetta and the brownie sundae! The food has always been good. One negative from our latest visit, however. We bought seats 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Theater 4. We knew they would be in the front row, but had no idea they were SO CLOSE that the screen wasn't even in focus. The screen is huge and we were looking straight up at it - the people were out of proportion on the screen and we couldn't read the words. We asked to move and were told that we could if no one showed up in row 2 (seats were empty but we were told that they were sold). Thankfully, we were able to move about a half-hour into the movie. Shame on AMC for selling the seats in row 1. They have to know that you can't really watch a movie from there. read more

My flatbread pizza was terrible---like tomato paste on soft, slimy, lukewarm dough. Also, the reservation website was confusing and misleading. I thought I had bought tickets for the dine-in theater and then found out when I arrived that it was a regular theater. read more

Went to a movie on 8/21 at 9:45pm. Our first AMC experience and took advantage of the Fork and Screen services. Had a drink at the bar to start. The staff were complaining and the presumed manager or supervisor was trying to keep the issue under control, but the attitude from the rest of the staff was juvenile. Made it into the theater; uncomfortable seats, food was cold (chicken), and the service was horrible. Hit the light for a refill...15 minutes later someone comes by. Menu is okay, but the food is good. We love seeing movies this way. Beats having to time your restaurant stay and hurry to the theater. Plus if you are a rewards member, you can rack up rewards pretty fast. read more

This was quite possibly the worst service I've ever had at a bar. When we arrived there were only 2 customers there already involved in a bitter dispute with one of 4 bartenders over what I observed to be a glass of water and an iced tea, but the lack of customers and the surplus of servers didn't prevent us from waiting for 20 minutes to have a single person make eye contact with us. This eye contact was made possible by 2 more gentlemen arriving and calling one of the people over. We then ordered a bottle of wine, which I never actually saw. Instead, I had two plastic cups delivered to me along with a bill of 43 dollars. Yes, I knew it was going to be overpriced, but couldn't I have at least seen this "bottle" before you demanded so much money for it? Also, when we commented on the lack of service, some snotty little teenaged hobbit said they suddenly got "super busy". With like us? Because there was no other activity. read more

My girlfriend and I have enjoyed the Olathe Fork and Screen for a couple of years now, so we looked forward to seeing "Source Code" tonight. When and who decided to stop offering vouchers and to raise the ticket prices to $12.50 apiece without them?? With the tickets, we had two beers, a Coke, a prime rib griller and an order of cheese sticks. Total for the night: $64.00!!! In the past we understood the slightly higher prices because of the nice spacious seating and the wait staff, but the vouchers made up for the difference. Now we will eat before we go and maybe not as often at that! For the first time since we started going the theater was just about empty ((only 3 couples including us) and that's not good for a popular movie on a weekend! Bring back the vouchers and a reasonable price before a good idea in movie-going goes down the drain!!! (PS food and drinks and service were very good, that's why the 3 stars) read more

AMC's Fork & Screen is awesome as far as I'm concerned. I love that I can pick my assigned seat far away from anyone else in the theater (like booking an airline ticket...you can see where others are sitting in relation to you when you buy your ticket online or at the Box Office). I LOVE that the server shows up during the previews to take my order, is always VERY friendly and attentive, and has yet to make a mistake on my order (and I am one of those complex customers who needs no tartar sauce, mayo instead, add ranch dressing, blah blah blah.) The drink is brought immediately, and if I order popcorn, that as well. (Butter? They bring it in a container so I can add it MYSELF...LOVE THAT!) Salt shaker right on the table in front of me (LOVE THAT!) Refills? No problem, just light your little light in front of you on the table and the server is there in seconds, with a smile! The place is always spotless, and the food is fantastic! Some people may think you pay a bit more for the food. I have to say, I disagree. It is VERY comparable to prices at all the sit down restaurants in the area, and even some of the fast food joints. I prefer to go weekdays, and earlier in the day - I get $6 admission tickets, then usually order the fish and chips, which is some of the best I've had anywhere! If you think this is a luxury - the Fork and Screen - IT IS like luxury, at affordable prices! Try it. It's WORTH IT! My next movie-going experience at the AMC...it will be the Cinema Seats. (Who doesn't want to watch a movie in a recliner and drink a beer with some potato skins to snack on?) read more

This theater has gone down hill, half the time the staff acts like they don't even know they are at work, the wait staff for fork and screen are nice but forget your order. The Past 3 times I've gone with my kids, they got our order wrong. which I don't know how that's possible because they have electronic menu pads they use. My daughter needed a refill on her drink, and it took me reminding the waiter 3 Different times for them to finally bring her refill (which was almost at the end of the movie) I could understand if the theater had been busy but it hadn't been. I'm giving 2 stars because of my past experiences, when they opened it seemed like they generally cared. But as time has gone by, all I see is laziness and lack of effort. I normally tip very high usually between 50%-60% and the past year the highest I have tipped was maybe 15% because the service was just that bad. I'm hoping maybe the service will go back to at least decent. Because if they keep up with their current approach on customer service, regular customers will start going else where. read more

Love the theater, do not like the new menu. I am gluten free and vegetarian. There used to be good options for me to choose from. Now I cannot even order a salad. I can pay full price and have them hold the chicken. Each time I come I figure out how to make something work and they are out of it. Your starters used to have healthy options. This was a disappointment. The movie part of the experience was good. It's easy to see the movie screen, since it's nicely tiered. But the good experience was a total disappointment. I told the waitress I wanted chips, and I got fries which were barely warm. When the movie seemed close to being finished, I asked a waiter when would we get our check. He said our waitress would bring it before the movie ended. The movie ended and still no waitress. We went looking for her and couldn't find her. We ran to the bathroom and came back and all of her people who didn't get a ticket were standing around waiting. Then about 4 waiters tried to find who got what ticket. She had put my bill with my friend's even though I told her we wanted separate checks. It took about 15 minutes after the end of the movie to get people's checks paid. They should have had enough sense to say sorry, it's on us. read more

My kids and I used to love going to Fork N Screen. Until recently, that is. We went to see the new Minion movie. I was very disappointed to see the menu changed. Why in the world would you take pizza off of a kids menu? I ordered a couple of appetizer type things to share. The pretzel bites and the loaded tater tots. The pretzel bites were hard - like hockey puck hard. The loaded tater tots tasted okay - at least at the time. Thankfully the kids didn't eat the tots, because within about 2 hours I had food poisoning and was sick for hours on end. Needless to say we'll be ordering drinks and popcorn next time we end up at fork n screen. If we want food, we'll get it from the AMC marketplace and carry it in. read more

My family used to attend movies at Fork and Screen in Olathe at the very least once a month, but generally more often. The food used to be great and although a bit pricey, still very doable. However, since changing their menu and increasing their prices, we refuse to go back. For starters, the food is awful and there is virtually no selection. We can go to Culver's before a movie and get the same selection and better quality than we can at Fork and Screen. They increased their prices and they're sky high, especially for what you get. I've never understood why companies do things like this. They had a good thing going. Moral of this story...if it aint' broken, don't fix it! Horrible and no intention of going back. read more

I love seeing movies at the fork and screen/cinema suites but the changes to the menu are a huge disappointment. I really don't know what they were thinking in making these changes and I hope they reconsider them. All of my favorite items have been removed. Very disappointing. read more

I took my 3 daughters for a girls nite out last nite. We decided to give the Fork and Screen a try...sounded like fun. Here is what was good about it. The movie (The Blind Side) was great, our server was good and we got free refills on drinks, which you should when you pay over three dollars for a drink! I ordered fried shrimp and onion loops. BIG MISTAKE. Fried shrimp should have a crunchy coating, these had a breaded something on it, kind of like a corn dog. Nasty! One daughter got chicken fried steak. It tasted like something that came out of a freezer. My other daughter got a Prime Rib Griller. It was very fatty, although to be fair, she did say the flavor was good. The last daughter ordered pizza, also not good. So, after spending $125 for movie and dinner for 4, we have decided that this is the last time for fork and screen. Seems like they would understand the concept of "good food, more business". Summary...DON'T waste your money, go to a good restaurant and then to a movie, it's a lot better and a lot cheaper! read more

If I could think of one word to describe fork and screen at Amc, atrocious. The theater looked nice at first, and then I met the service, it was like everyone there was working for the first time, and the ones who knew what they were doing were so rude I almost left in the middle of the movie. I thought "shit, this service is terrible, but at least there is food" and then it hit me, this food is the worst assortment of inadequate junk I have ever put on my palate, and it looked just as good. They didn't even have the decency to disguise the fact they were feeding me their own excrement. The worst part, by far, was the the fact that on my way out I saw them harassing an 18 year old boy and his companion who didn't bring his ID, though they both looked old enough to purchase alcohol. They showed no emotion as they told him, sorry pal, no ID, no movie, further perpetuating their stance on, you must be 18 to eat food and watch a movie at the same time, lest you stab yourself in the face. I was mostly shocked that an establishment so poor in hospitality and with such terrible food, had the gal to turn away two eagerly paying, and decent looking customers. read more

We have been to the Fork and Screen numerous times. We choose to go there instead of the regular screens. We have always had great food, great service, and even when a storm went through there and caused a fire, they were able to care for us with limited abilities. It's roomy, very relaxed, and excellent quality for the movies. We take our tween daughter with us always and we have her spoiled to it. The tickets are higher but you do use the coupon part of it. For the three of us, taking that off, the food was reasonable. I have no complaints but possibly a couple suggestions... I would like to see more appetizer choices and possibly more kids taste friendly. Hamburgers are AWESOME!!! That's what we get most of the time but we have tried many things. The pizza is small for what you pay, but good. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about them... I'm sorry to see some have not had the quality experience we always do!! read more
