We are no stranger to Forge Pizza having visited the Forge in Jack London Square several times when we lived in the Bay Area. The Napa restaurant is nice. Tonight we dined simple splitting a Caesar Salad and a Seasonal Meatball and Pepperoni Pizza. The Caesar Salad was actually pretty good and with the addition of anchovies quite tasty. The salad was good size and easy to split. The Seasonal Pizza was also tasty and the wood fired Pizza Oven helped bring the flavors together. Service was polite but at times we felt forgotten. We had to request water while others got water automatically. Also, the check was dropped off at the end of the meal but it took decades to have the bill processed. We ordered a pizza, cheese curds and the beet salad. The pizza was ok, the ingredients were fine but my main issue was the way it was cooked. Crunchy large well cooked crust but the middle was soggy and incredibly thin and unrisen. The cheese curds were pretty good. The salad didn't have a lot of flavor, could have done with more dressing. We walked to this place because it was close to our hotel. This is good place to meet up and have a beer or to go to after movie. Calamari was a little heavy with oil, angry shrimp was pretty good and our two pizzas were okay, we dipped the pizza crust into the butter from the angry shrimp - yum! Hubby and I came here yesterday for a late lunch after a day of car shopping. I love coming here too. We were greeted and seated immediately at the same Table we had the last time we were there not too long ago and can see the kitchen which I like watching. Happy hour was being served only at the bar top seating. We decided to split the Forge cheeseburger, roasted beet salad and I order had the Josh Cabernet. Our server was great. He promptly took our order and delivered our drinks and food fairly quickly and frequently check on us too. We have always enjoyed the cheeseburger here so that was delicious as it should be. The roasted beet salad was a new item we tried and I usually don't like beets but on this day I guess I fell in love with them. That salad was so good that I am craving it right now as I write this review! They have loyalty card and because we dine there often we got a some funds to redeem off the check. Food menu is average, not a lot to select through, that goes along with the quality of food and pizzas. Average good all around but decent vibe. Service when dining is good, not great, what lacks the most here is the consistency of service. Not checking in constantly or even often at all which brings me to the terrible bar service. Last 3 times I've came to sit at the bar I can say it took at least 10 minutes to even get asked if I wanted a drink, absurd. Located within the same plaza as the movie theaters in Napa, this is the perfect spot to grab something to eat before or after a movie. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but mainly indoor when it's cold. It's very aesthetic and I like the vibe inside. We however didn't order any pizza so we want to try it next time. We had 2 kids and 3 adults in our party, the kids got grilled cheese and chicken nuggets with fries along with lemonades. I got the roasted beet salad with chicken which was really good! My brother got the fish and chips and my sister in law got fish tacos. We were a little worried that our food wasn't going to come out in time but it did and we were able to finish and pack our leftovers before our movie. I had high hopes due to a positive recommendation from a friend, but I was slightly disappointed. The space is great - I like the modern look. The option of indoor and outdoor seating is neat - we chose indoors. Service was friendly enough, slightly awkward maybe? Not sure how to describe it. The food did arrive in like 10 minutes after ordering, which was awesome. We ordered the "Bamba" pizza which is "red sauce, chorizo, pickled jalapeños, pepperoni, red onions, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh cilantro." I found our pizza to be overall underwhelming. A good combination of flavors but for the price, the toppings were very sparse. Just check my picture and you'll see what I mean. The two of us shared it. We weren't super hungry, so it was fine, but if you want a full meal you'll definitely want to order your own pizza. This pizza is regularly $21 (online menu shows $20 as of this writing but paper menu in restaurant was accurate) but as we came during "happy hour" it was $16. Again, that's actually a decent price especially given the area, but I would just expect more substance to the pizza, especially if I was paying the regular price of $21. read more

Went here with the family to meet some friends. One of the few places to bring kids in Napa. We enjoyed pizza, appetizers, cesar salad, french fries. Food: very good. The kids enjoy the kids menu, and some of the more grown-up fair. There is a full bar, but it was not awkward without drinks. The flavors are good, they were groundbreaking about 5-10 years ago. The shi peppers are good, but seem to have crossed with jalapeños to produce some heat--not as small, crispy and bitter as others I've tried. 1.8/2 Price: expensive, like everything in Napa. 0.7/1 Ambiance: laid back, very cool industrial modern vibe. I was very pleased with my visit to "the forge". I went with some friends before we went to the movies and I had only planned on eating a small portion but I ate half a pizza instead!
