Food here is pretty tasty and solid. I went with the chicken & shrimp chow fun. Chow fun is fried noodles. The dish turned out good and flavorful. The service was good. Lovely ambiance in Chinatown, authentic cuisine.

Solid dumpling spot. Good as a takeout place as there is not much to sit. The lamb noodles were great!

Small wonton is amazing, probs the only place in nyc that has it, extensive menu with really affordable price. Great hole in a wall spot. Opens til midnight as well.

I would've given this a 4 star but I have a soft spot for true mom and pop shops. Forever taste was in my area when I searched up noodles. Needed a fast carb load for my training session. Forever taste is not fancy at all. Straight hole in the wall. It's cash only as well (there's an ATM outside). It's a tiny spot. Def more of a takeout spot. But the food. Handmade, hand pulled, hand cut, hand pressed noodles. My recommendation is the cumin noodles or the spicy beef noodles. I opted to eat this non spicy garlic noodles. Food is cooked by the owners. Service is not the fastest but the food is made to order. I watched the owner cut up stretch press my noodles. Oh and did I mention everything on the menu is under $10? I ordered 2 noodles and wontons and it was $19. Yeah, they deserve the 5 stars.

I have mixed feelings about Forever Taste (千里香), a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that offers Shaanxi cuisine to a shrinking working class community on the eastern edge of Manhattan's rapidly gentrifying Chinatown. Many of the dishes are a great value, but some were too greasy for our liking. Food: OK (3 of 5). - Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (麻辣牛肉面): Very Good. The hand-pulled noodles have a good chew, the beef flank cuts are soft and tender, the soup is thin but decently flavored. Only $6.25 -- recommended! - Chive Pork Steamed Dumplings (韭菜猪肉水饺): OK. Medium-sized dumplings, good flavor if a bit greasy. $4 for 12 dumplings. - Beef Youpo Noodles (牛肉油潑麵): Meh. The beef was over-tenderized, and the dish could use more and fresher ingredients to balance the overly greasy stir-fried hand-pulled noodles. Consider going first for the noodle soups and steamed foods like dumplings over the stir-fried options, as the former options allow for preparation in a slightly safer manner.

Hidden secret, family run neighborhood joint serving up delicious, authentic Chinese food. Their steamed pork dumplings are juicy & flavorful with a nice textured skin, and their chicken wings surprisingly are fantastic. Crispy without being overly fried, and a nice savory bite. Their noodle soups are also very legit and I hope to eat my way through the entire menu at some point. Everything has been delicious and the price can't be beat. Don't come expecting a Michelin star ambiance, million dollar decor, or to pay with your credit card (this is a cash only joint). However you'll get the authentic Chinese restaurant experience, with a friendly mom as the cashier, the young son doing his homework in the back, and the grandma chilling like a boss.

Surprisingly good and cheap Chinese takeout in the Lower East Side! Note: This place is CASH ONLY. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken & Fried Chive & Pork Dumplings. The portions are large, and the food is pretty good. Not fancy at all, but it hits the spot and is open late.

Solid family-owned establishment in LES/Chinatown! I often come here for takeout during lunch since it's close to where I'm working now. I've gotten a variety of things, like pork dumplings, lo mein, and mapo tofu, and the food is always so tasty and affordable! Cash only (ATM around the corner) and no indoor seating, but a great option for pickup. The staff inside are also very nice people. Worth your time and forever tasty ;)

Hey this place is open late! Till 1am. Convenient for people around gouverneur's. Pretty reliable, they deliver.

When we went they were permanently closed. Don't go. There's no dumplings. The store is closed so there's no ambiance.

12 mini pan fried pork chive dumplings for $4. I enjoyed the crispiness of the skin, bite size pieces, and the flavor. Would get again!

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

I missed a call and literally two minutes later the call came through again and the woman yelled at me - "hurry up hurry up, hurry up, hurry up!" said the driver was waiting 10-15 minutes for me, which was simply untrue - I got a call literally two minutes before- just rude. Added a screenshot in case the owner doubles down that it was 15 mins. Guess the first call was from the delivery driver, and the second was from the restaurant itself. ‍ But the really disappointing part is that they didn't pack any soup separate from the noodles! - So my chicken dumpling noodle soup basically had no soup - don't know if they forgot it or if it was absorbed by the noodles but most restaurants at this point know to pack the broth and the noodles separately,- so I ended up having to add some of my own vegetable broth, which totally was not the flavor I was hoping for. So - love the food, but delivery service leaves a lot to be desired - next time I'll try giving instructions to pack the soup separate from the noodles and see if that helps!

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!
