I booked a two person reservation for a friend and I and we had our massages in the same room before separating for the two following treatments. The spa was extremely busy and we waited a bit to begin our appointment and waited a bit between treatments due to lack of availability of beds/chairs for the head spa (no big deal!) The body and foot massages were really excellent. The head was nice and relaxing as well but probably not something I would return for. I came in yesterday for the first time with my boyfriend without a reservation, and thankfully, getting accommodated right away was not an issue at all. We decided to get the 2-hour combo package, which included a head spa, back massage, and foot massage. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly inconsistent. Depending on which staff member you get, you will receive a totally different level of service. For instance, my boyfriend received an ear cleaning, a head massage with a specialized hand tool, and a thorough head massage. I received none of that. Instead, I just got a quick head wash for a few minutes and a basic facial (just a face cleaning with some oil applied). It looked nothing like what is advertised on social media and there was absolutely nothing "wow" about it. First time ever at Forever Spa and I will definitely be back! This spa is located in the heart of China town and is in between a few stores, so it might be hard to spot initially. The top floor is for the head spa and downstairs is where the front desk is and where the massages happen. Everyone that helped us was so helpful and took the time to explain all the packages and what they include. We got 60 min full body and 60 min head spa (facial included) for 100! We have been wanting to try that new viral head spa and it was definitely worth the hype! Cindy and Lily took care of us and they were great! Although, they were not really knowledgeable about my type of hair texture (very thick and curly hair) she did her best. She took her time and was gentle, so I'm not mad at it. Wow, that was hands-down the worst experience I've ever paid for. This place is a TikTok/Instagram trap - there is nothing luxurious about this experience, starting from the place which smells like 100 cigarettes burning at once, to the abrasive body massage I received, to the head massage where my technician got soap in my eye and hosed me down with freezing water. I paid $140 (including tip) for 1 hour body and 1 hour head spa. The masseuse/technician was not skilled at all and used improper, painful and haphazard movements on my body. At one point she was straight up choking me. The head spa was the worst part. The masseuse did not wash her hands before touching my face, she got soap in my eyes, used a wet cloth to clean the soap off of my face without being gentle around my eyes, kept touching other objects and her own hair before touching my face and head, used frigid water without any warning, and I was freezing the entire time! To top it all off, the masseuse did not speak any English so I could not communicate anything to her. All the products used are cheap and this place is a marketing trap. Afterwards, I was taken to a different room with a hair wash bed where she gave me a full face, neck, and shoulder massage and washed my hair while I had a face mask on. The bed was cool because it had differently calibrated jets to massage your head. I loved that I was attended to every minute. Your session ends with a blow-dry. My sensitive skin had no issues with the facial products they used. - Easy to make an appt for my group and me over the phone, you tell them exactly what you want when you arrive. - Spacious waiting room with comfortable couches, ATM, delicious savory cookies, candy, and a water machine. Cons: - My gfs didn't like the continuous stream of noises such as chatting, beeping, and running water. I used to love this place - but the experience I had today was beyond bad. I had a couples massage with my boyfriend, and we had two women give us massages, who wouldn't stop talking or laughing the entire time. Genuinely, it was so unpleasant. They kept yawning so loud and clearing their throat in an obnoxious way and I will never, ever be back. Such a shame. Location is amazing and hours are great but honestly avoid this place. My family and I went to FOREVER SPA in Chinatown, New York on a Sunday after, 3:30pm before going back to Rhode Island. We called earlier to schedule but was advised it's okay to just walk in if before 1pm which we did not lol. Took us longer to walk around lol. Anyways, we found the spa with plenty of people waiting. Though it took time for them to accommodate us, they still did after an hour of wait. We had the 2 hr for $99 promotion they offered which you can mix and match with different service, which I find awesome! My husband and daughter chose the 1 hour back and 1 hour scalp massage. I chose the 45 mins Back, 45 mins Scalp and 30 mins foot massages. We didn't go in altogether but we did have 1 person each doing all those service. We were jot moved from 1 person to another, which was awesome! My masseuse-Neal was FUNFREAKINGTASTIC! During my back massage, I addressed that I have lower back pain along my hips and my oh my! He focused on the painful areas and hit every single spot. The pressure was just right and after the painstaking area he hit, I think I fell asleep lol. We then moved to the foot massage, and int 30 mins, I fell asleep 20 mins on that lol. The finale is the scalp massage, which is on another floor. The area has 3 beds, with the head shower. That 45 mins of shampoo, scalp and shoulder massage was so good, i think I heard myself snore LOL. So after the 3 of us were finished, I asked my daughter how her experience was? She replied, it was AWESOME! She was so relaxed and the massage was just perfect pressure. My husband said the same thing. He said that he feels like a brand new man because his back pain was addressed and he is not in so much pain after that experience. They want to go back for more. So things to be mindful of, while you're falling asleep or sleeping on the massage table like I was LOL, you will be woken up when that head shower passes through your face. This place is all TikTok hype and not worth it. I shouldn't have trusted the reviews. I like strong massages and regularly go to Asian and Thai massage spots, so I know what a good one feels like. The therapist here did not seem to understand anatomy at all. She moved randomly across my body with no structure or pressure points, and the strokes were extremely fast back-and-forth, almost like she was sawing a plank of wood. It was confusing and unlike any massage I've ever had, in a bad way. The worst part was that she kept burping loudly the entire time, and I could smell it through the face hole in the table. I finally sat up halfway through and left. At the front desk they tried to charge me $40 for 30 minutes even though I had come in for the $99 two-hour special. I told them I would pay $20 and no tip. It was not long before I was shown to my private room for the full body massage. The Masseuse was incredibly thorough and I had some problem areas for which she responded appropriately checking in with me. Came here with my friend we made an appointment for 8:30p since we were coming out of work. We sat down and had to wait for a bit till they were ready no problem we weren't in a rush. We Registered for the 1 Hour body massage + 45 min head spa+ 15 min foot massage. We were allowed to stay together and thought we were getting a typical massage but it turned out to be pressure point massage that was painful but did help the body get some blood flow to places that I have body aches in. They start off with placing you face down and putting a blanket on your body and rubbing you then pressing down on your pressure points. Unfortunately we tried to communicate that it was a bit painful but they didn't speak English so mama didn't raise no quitter and we powered through the whole thing . Once they where in the middle of the pressure point massage they bring hot stones which felt amazing and they remove the blanket off of you 1/2 way and put oil on you and rub the stones on your skin which felt amazing. Once our timer rang they left the room and we got dressed sat down and waited since they were busy with other ppl so we had to wait a while, they finally had room for only my friend to start the head spa so I continued to wait. When I was finally called to start the head spa you change out of your top and they give you a towel to cover your mid section and lower your bra not remove it. And they massage your face and head and brush your hair. I had no clue this was the head spa part I thought they just rub your head. I did not know they wash your hair & dry it. They rub your face and do a face mask I believe it was an aloe one and they use the metal face massager to stimulate blood flow and collagen. Which was nice. So here's where we drop some points they do not know how to handle non Asian hair. I am a person with very long curly hair. The lady did her best trying to brush my hair I offered to detangle it myself since I know how to hand my type of hair and again language barrier and she gestured no no so yeah.... Not the best feeling reminded me of my childhood when mom would try to detangle my hair. Ouch The hair products they used smelled amazing the rubbing was nice and the metal thing in the hair felt nice but the detangle and trying to dry my type of hair was a definite no. The lady then gave up on trying to detangle my hair and proceeded to sit me down to dry my hair with no brush just by waving around the blow dryer at me and running her hands in my hair with her hands. Again I have curly hair this is not how we dry or straighten our hair. By this time I guess the lady gave up and stop blow drying my hair and just turned off the blow dryer. 1/2 my head was detangle the other 1/2 knotted now and 1/2 dry and 1/2 wet. My hair looked as if I stuck my hand in the electrical outlet. It was bad... lucky I brought a hair clip. Smh And we didn't get our foot massage cuz was now too late. :( If you like strong pressure point massage I recommend this place. I genuinely cannot overstate how terrible this experience was. I visited Forever Spa on December 4th--one of the coldest days NYC has had so far, around 30 degrees. I had appointments booked for myself and a friend more than three weeks in advance, only to find out upon arrival that appointments didn't seem to matter since walk-ins were freely accepted. I booked the 2-hour special for $99, which included a body massage, foot massage, and head spa. The body massage itself was fine. My therapist was good, and the pressure was what I expected. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The spa's main service area is in the basement, with constant cold air coming down every time the front door opens. The waiting area is cold. The massage rooms weren't freezing but they were a tad bit cold, but bearable. After my massage, I was given only a wrap for my upper body and instructed to walk to the next room for the head spa. That room turned out to be upstairs--directly across from the front entrance. So there I am, essentially in a towel, covered in massage oil, walking past the open front door while it's freezing outside. No warning. No preparation. The head spa room itself was not heated and felt just as cold as outdoors. I asked if this was the only space used for head spa services, and the answer was no--suggesting this room was likely overflow. If that's the case, then walk-ins should not be prioritized over pre-booked appointments. I requested blankets, which were provided after an apology. However, everything else was cold: the water, face mask, shampoo, and hair treatments. I was shivering uncontrollably. I repeatedly asked if we were almost done and requested to end the service early. My request was ignored. Afterward, I spoke to the front desk. The response was that they'd "check it out and look into it." No apology. No offer to make it right. Nothing. I work at a spa myself and fully understand that people complain over trivial things. This was not trivial. This was a complete failure in guest care, preparation, and basic comfort. I was frozen for the rest of the day and ended up getting sick shortly after. Had a pretty bad experience for the 2hr $99 deal (I got the 1hr back massage and 1hr head spa) all over social media... Back and head massage both masseuses (different ones) didn't put enough pressure even when I asked. I've had a lot of Chinese massages and know how a good one feels - this one they were just sort of lightly pressing (even when I asked for more pressure), moving their hands really fast back and forth across my back (bizarre and not really relaxing), and they were sort of sloppy and inattentive too. It felt like both masseuses that worked on me were in a rush and they were trying to get me out as soon as possible. When I came on Sunday ~3pm it was really busy - tons of people there that they were trying to get in and out for appointments. Maybe that's what was behind my masseuses being so rushed / doing a bad job, but I'll also say seeing so many people really did make the environment feel stressful and not relaxing. I could hear people loudly chatting outside for my body massage. For what it's worth, I also got a skin reaction to the massage oil and was pretty itchy when I left. They rushed me out of the massage room in a towel, didn't explain much to me (very confusing...), and sat me down in a waiting area in the back hall before rushing me back upstairs without explaining to me wht was happenig... I ended up leaving my socks and undergarment in the first massage room because I was so rushed and someone had to get it for me later while a client was there, deeply uncomfortable. The rooms themselves are separated by curtains, which is fine usually if theres like a solid barrier at least between you and other clients but I also only had a curtain between me and another client... and sometimes it was slightly ajar which I didn't like. The head spa area upstairs is nicer and clean, sort of what I would expect. The head spa was Okay At Best. Not good pressure, even when I asked for more pressure, and when the masseuse dried by hair, she kept flicking my own hair at my face with the blow dryer and it was kinda uncomfortable. There were moments where nothing was happening either. Like 5 minutes would pass and no services were occuring... On the bright side, for $50 for a body massage and head spa each you do get a lot of nominal features: the body massage comes with hot stone if you do an hour, and the head spa comes with a facial which is cool. That being said, it was really confusing, rushed, sometimes uncomfortable, I got a skin reaction, and the massage and head spa really wasn't very good. They are nice people, and you do get a lot of nominal features for $100 at 2 hours, but I likely wouldn't come back. You sort of get what you pay for here. read more

Pros: We didnt have an appointment before going to this place but they were able to accommodate my cousin and I. BTW we avail the head spa the $70 one it came with facial already. Also, my therapist was good I was relaxed, I like the ambiance very quiet, private and peaceful very definition of relaxation. Cons: The place is too crowded. I get the hype , but I wish they can have more traffic control. Some area doesn't have privacy and loud. Personally, I'm not satisfied with the way they do the blow dry wish they use hair brush. Lastly, the way they handle customers when their done with the service seems rushing to end or to send you out the establishment, like I get it since they don't have that much space, but like give us a minute to breath. I waited nearly 40 min after the foot/body massage for the head massage. My friend was nowhere to be found. As I was about to start my head massage, my friend messaged me that she was done. The head massage was disappointing. Spent 10-15 min just hair drying and my curly hair was straightened without a straighter without being asked. Felt like I was just getting a hair washed (with a massage) at the hair salon + quick facial with a face mask otherwise. Definitely NOT worth the 40 min wait. Was told while I was waiting 40+ min that they would offer a discount. No discount. Though I did not ask about it and I acknowledge there may have been a discount if I had asked. But the person working the counter by then was a different person than the one that told me to wait 20 + min x2 and offered a discount so I am not sure if they would have honored it. Just be aware. This is not a spa--it's a crowded, noisy, poorly run factory pushing people in and out as fast as possible. The space is dingy, packed, and chaotic. No organization. No flow. No calm. You hear everything--people talking, walking, rushing around. Relaxation is impossible. The "massage" was awful: the two workers spent the entire time talking to each other, applied excessive pressure, and left us bruised. I've never left a spa feeling physically worse than when I walked in. The hair spa was completely half-assed. Rushed, careless, and low quality. The shampoo didn't even smell good, and the technician was clearly just trying to move on to the next person. Nothing felt intentional or professional. I left flushed, overwhelmed, and uncomfortable--my face red, veins popping out, likely from the lack of air and the aggressive pressure. A spa should never make you feel like that. And for the record, I am not someone who hypes shit up unless it's the real deal. If something is good, I'll say it. This was not good--at all. The guy who massaged me barely used any pressure even when I asked him to increase the pressure, but he did use what felt like all the body oil in the world.
