I was so impressed by this massage parlor! I've been to so many Tui Na massage shops in the city over the years. A lot of them offer similar pricing, but not all deliver high quality. Bowery day spa exceeded my expectations tremendously. First, it's very clean and beautifully decorated. Not necessary for me, but still appreciated. My masseuse Andy was respectful and got to business on my super stressed shoulders and tight back. He didn't rush and was diligent on working out the sore spots. 55 bucks for an hour was well worth it, next time I will come for 90 mins just because it was that addicting! They offer so many price combos and also head and neck massages you can have quickly while sitting clothed in a chair. Perfect way to spend my day off. They also have loyalty cards which is a great incentive to come back and treat myself! Highly recommend! read more

Reasonable pricing, friendly and kind staff, quiet and clean environment despite traffic on the streets, flexible with your accommodations, nice place to destress after a long day of walking with their foot massages. Overall, nice a little haven in the middle of hectic NY's Chinatown. read more

This was my first time here and I've been to a couple different ones in the area. I had Lucy (I may have her name wrong) and she did a fantastic job. I got the 60 mins massage and she gave me a head to toe massage. She did a dry massage for a few minutes for the whole body, then went in with the oil massage and wrapped it up with some hot stone. I left feeling so light and sleepy. I would come again and would recommend. Note: I did make an appointment but it wasn't thay busy when I went read more

Edit: I have a photo of the bruise on my forehead. It will not let me post on yelp. This photo can be found on google reviews. I really wanted to support this small business, but unfortunately my experience was not what I expected. I spent over $100, and while the price itself is reasonable, it's not acceptable to leave feeling this way. The massage was not relaxing--the pressure was extremely aggressive, and there was talking in the hallway throughout the session. During the entire massage, my head was being pressed into the table, which directly caused visible bruising along my forehead/hairline. I felt unusually sore afterward, more than what I would consider normal post-massage soreness. There were little to no check-ins about pressure or comfort during the service. The space was clean and the staff were polite, but there needs to be more attention to client safety, communication, and overall experience. read more

Walked in for 60 minute foot massage and they were extremely friendly and were able to accommodate us immediately. The massage was great! It was my first foot massage and couldn't have asked for more. I always stay awake during full body massage but something about this foot rub was so relaxing that I kept falling asleep a waking myself up with a snore and a smile and little laugh from the masseuse. My legs and feet felt rejuvenated. read more

Bowery Day Spa gave me the best 90 minute body work massage I've ever had! And I've gotten many massages. My upper back and shoulders are perpetually tense and full of knots and I always ask other services to focus on those areas and they never do. But Mia at Bowery Day Spa totally understood the assignment! She hit all the right spots, spent ample time on my problem areas, and checked in with me during to ensure that I was enjoying the pressure. The only downside was that I got cold a little ways into the massage, and I hope in the future they can warm up the space for an even better experience. Nonetheless, they still get 5 stars because the massage was just that good. I'm so glad I visited and I'll definitely be back! read more

Omg what a hidden gem this spot is! Theres a reason they have 5 stars . I walked by here late night in desperate need of a massage and here they were to answer my prayers. I came in on a whim and was wearing jeans and the staff immediately did everything they could to make me comfortable. The guy gave me a pair of shorts to change into to make sure I got the full foot / leg massage experience! Cbd oil on the house. Took my coat and hung it up. Talk about going above and beyond! The ambiance and vibes are amazing as well. The water running in the background is what every spa should have no question about it. Feng shui through the roof. Also the prices are fantastic! Will come back and recommend this place again and again because they treat everyone like family here! #supportsmallbusinesses read more

Bowery Day Spa - Omg 10/10 - Massage Near Me - New York, New York

Came by for a foot massage other day and it was a really nice job. Dropped by and the talented front desk attendant was able to slot me in within 20 minutes and even was able to see me right away. Requested for a strong foot massage and the masseuse was pretty strong hitting my pressure points. As the foot massage chairs are closer to the door, the draft and noise by the customers coming in was a distraction, despite the room divider along with the signs suggesting a quiet environment. Similar to in Asia, the therapist set a timer and showed me the timer before starting and also finished off with a hot stone treatment. $40/hr for a foot massage + tips read more

Amazing spa! I love it here! Highly recommend. Great massages and very affordable. I love that they are open late.

A great place for a massage, whole body or foot. We got a one hour foot massage for $40 each! The women who provided the service were wonderful, and upbeat. This place is clean, the seating relaxed and private from the street. You feel welcome. Since I had on tight jeans, they provided a pair of shorts from a linen drawer for me to change into. The massage includes feet and legs and ends with hot stones. What a delight. For locals, they offer a special deal. read more

Took my mom here for a mother daughter spa day and we both had a wonderful time! We did the full body + foot massage combo and they were kind enough to honor the promo we found online. The service was great and we felt super refreshed and relaxed afterwards. It was also my first time trying out hot stones and I enjoyed that as well. Overall a wonderful experience and I might return in the future with my sister. Would recommend! read more

We did full body massage with foot masage. Mindy and Lucy are great! Friendly and good strength. Would come back!

I've been twice, or three and twice in the same week that it felt like one. As relaxing as you'd expect, and don't make the mistake of requesting a hard pressured massage if you are on the skinny side lol. Nonetheless, the hot stones are amazing, along with the warm oils. Do recommend and it's a steal for the price. Private, and welcoming. read more

Called ahead for a 60min body massage and it was amazing. The space is clean and the service was excellent. My massage therapist was a petite woman who went deep into my knots. 5 stars from start to finish. My masseuse penny gave me a massage so great, that I won't have to visit my chiropractor for a while. The music along with the fountain sounds and dimly lit room made me so relaxed I fell asleep. It was by far the best massage I've ever had. I can't wait to bring my parents here. read more

Nice and clean. My first visit yesterday. Had a guy masseuse. He was a very good worker. Worked hard and gave money's worth. Not a slacker.

Excellent service. Amazing vibe, warm wecome, never have I been greeted as nicely for a foot massage and body massage. Probably the cleanest in Chinatown . Greeted with water, cookies, candy, and they offer to take my bag and coat to hang up while they offered the restroom as well before my hour body massage. - the owner, manager, or lady in charge is very sweet. we actually had a conversation and found out we have some uncommon interest in common. Wouldn't recommended anywhere else but here for your foot and body massage read more

Hands down the best place for massages in Chinatown. Over the years we've tried too many places to count Bowery Spa is the only one that gets it right - immaculate setting, music at the right volume, no loud voices or smell of lunches, comfortable massage beds/armchairs, top notch masseuses, and great prices. Get the gift certificates for even better value. The total experience can't be beat! read more
