It was a terrible experience and most inappropriate massage experience I've had. Came for a quick 10 min massage with a friend - 5 for shoulder, 5 for head The shoulder massage itself was good (the head massage was not.) When I was undressing, the male masseuse just walked in without any warning or asking if I was ready. And then told me to immediately lie face down. I asked him to leave two times bc I was not ready and he did NOT leave. The nice male receptionist had to come in and tell him to walk out, so two men were in my room while I was exposed and trying to cover up. I was clearly uncomfortable AND STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF UNDRESSING. The massage techniques were also not the same on both sides of my body. There was extra arm lifting on one side when the towel had already shifted to reveal some side boob. He then came out to tell me I needed to do an hour next time when I was done. Hell no. My back had a lot of tension from sitting around all day, and my masseuse knew how to knead through all the knots. I received a one hour massage, which was half oil and half without. I went in due to sore feet and got a foot message. The foot message was average but they offered a neck and back message that was painful. I asked the guy to be less aggressive twice. He was less aggressive for a minute and went right back to what he was doing initially. Great spot, everything you'd want and expect from an Asian massage spot, downtown... My only gripe is that you're in a massage booth like setting as opposed to your own private rooms and is separated by a curtain, and that's about it. I'm fine with it if it were a couples massage or something similar however, with other people I don't know....? Hmm..... They are quiet, you don't hear too many conversations which is what irritates me about all other Asian massage spots.... My girlfriend really wanted to come here for a massage so I'm writing this review as I'm sitting in the waiting lounge. Why? Because even just sitting here I can tell you how different this place is. Cheap spots like this are usually filled with loud angry sounding Asian people just wanting for you to get in, pay, and get out. Well not this place. The guy at the front desk keeps tip toeing around, whispering (not to disturb people relaxing), and offering me water and stuff while I wait for my girlfriend. The music is calming, smells great, and I feel relaxed simply being here. I feel like I should've gotten a massage as well, but that will be for the next time. Been here 4 or 5 times, one time is was solid but not great. Every other time was great. Given these sort of places are always bit hit or miss based on who you get, that's about as good a odds as you can ask for. Pretty cheap too and they never hassle me (I give reasonable tips but nothing overly generous really). Been to a lot of similar places, this is the most consistently good experience. read more

Me: "We're on our way!" Ok...so we walked...8 mins exactly we got there and a whole shebang of masseuses were eagerly waiting for our arrival...there were like 6 of them...I felt a little uncomfortable walking up to an Asian massage place with those tacky fluorescent lights. Ok We were led into separate rooms...I undressed and slid under the covers face down....the guy came in asked me how long I want and began... WOW...ok so NOT BAD afterall...he totally knew what he wast doing...a little warm up massaging under the towel then he used some massage oil and totally went for the spots I needed attention on. @_@ 1 hour later...I totally didn't want to leave...but yeah I didn't want to pay extra and plus it was 12:30am...^_^ He rubbed off the massage oil with hot towels and it was done. 1 hour for 45$ plus 5$ tips...@ 11:30pm.....well worth it in my opinion :) Facilities were clean and the ppl were nice. One of the best massages I have ever had. I am never going to a fancy spa again. I walked into this place, while having acute lower back pain on a lovely day in the EV- plans scuttled due to the pain- and after checking yelp for nearby recommended spots. I knew it was going to hurt, because of my jacked up back and hip, but my masseuse (masseur?) Kevin was amazing in general and especially in focusing on my serious pain areas. He seemed to use acupressure points (I am no expert) - this massage was definitely therapeutic. I could barely walk or breathe on my way in, I was in so much pain, and I came out feeling like a human being and the healing became more and more apparent in the following days. Also, I ended up staying on the table for nearly two hours and spent about $80. Unbeatable. read more

I got a very good massage here. It was a Friday night at 9pm, I had a tension headache, my neck was throbbing, I came here because it was the nearest open massage place i could find on YELP. The woman treating me was attentive and dedicated to her work. I was impressed given the late hour that she seemed to have plenty of energy. She did not go as hard as I can take but she did zoom in on my knots and worked on them and used her fingers. She didn't seem bored and distracted nor did she become over-reliant on using her elbows (as can often happen with an exhausted therapist during a mediocre tui-na treatment). the session included a great foot massage and head massage. But there is one big issue that I must raise: The "hour" Long session felt like it was over much too soon. I checked my phone and confirmed she had cut our session short by 7 to 10 mins. That is a significant amount of time to shave off of a 60 min appointment, it has never happened to me anywhere else before and is rather sketchy. Still the place only charged me $45 and the massage was great. So I still tipped $10 and would go back again. Next time I will use the timer on my phone though, to confirm our agreed upon time. read more

Their massage rooms are very peaceful and you will have no trouble getting into relaxation mode for your massage. The lady that did my massage had strong hands and was very efficient with the time. Massage 1: A young man, excellent technique, ended up staying an extra 15 minutes (for a full hour) as the quality was great. 4 stars and left feeling relaxed Massage 2: Another male, reasonable technique (very firm, which is what I like), ended up staying an extra 15 minutes again as when the 30 minutes had finished it appeared he had not completed the massage. When it came to the around the 40 minute mark, the masseuse asked if I wanted more time. After declining for the 5th time in one of those I'm smiling awkwardly and trying to be polite ways, I was a little pissed and the relaxation had completely gone from the massage. So I gather he was banking on me adding extra time as he rushed through the last 5 minutes and didn't really complete the job in a relaxing way. When it came time to pay, conveniently the credit card machine was not working, so I had to walk to 5 blocks to get the cash for them.... try advising before the massage that the machine doesn't work. The guys there are so nice they came outside and helped me carry them in! If you're like me and pain equals pleasure, than this is the place to go. They will work your body over, as hard as you can take it. You can always tell them to go lighter, but really? Why would you? If you like a fluffy massage, this place isn't a spa. It's a little room with a sheet and some hot towels and a few hangers on the wall for your clothes. But if you want a massage, and not a spa, I wouldn't go any other place.
