I'm super sad to leave a bad review, especially since last time I had a good experience. This time I was GROSSLY over charged. I understand that services and amenities like these have increased in price significantly, but to charge me $25 extra on top of the pedicure for gel polish Then five dollars extra for removal of my old polish seems excessive and highway robbery Last time I had a pedicure done at this establishment I paid $30 less than I did today Due to the inconsistent pricing, I do not recommend this establishment at all

Sloppy, no coverage on full nail. Only not super mad because it was cheap. She did clean up my cuticles really well.

Walked in with no appointment for basic pedicure. Lily took care of me. She was very kind. I asked for a flower design on my big toe and she did a phenomenal job!!! I always get a flower design on my toe and I'm not always satisfied when I leave. Lilly was AMAZING and a talented artist. Definitely recommend her for pedicure and design. Vibe was relaxing.

RUDE!RUDE!RUDE!!!!! Walked in at 9:01 right when they open and asked if they fixed chipped nails. I just flew in a hour before and my nail got ruined.so I found this place located next to koas pancake house where we were having breakfast thinking super awesome! Wrong! as soon as I asked this super rude lady on the phone comes up and says come back later we don't fix nails in the morning because of our other customers. There was 1 yes 1 lady in there doing her toes and like 10 open nail areas she could have said it in a nicer way would have given her a negative 5 if I could DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU WANT FRIENDLY SERVICE!!

I visited the day after Thanksgiving. Great timing! It was only me and one other customer at 9:30am. I went in for a simple pedicure $38 and ended up getting the Supreme Volcano Pedicure $65. Felt like I'd treat my feet before having surgery this upcoming week. Christmas music is playing. Workers were busy preparing for the upcoming morning rush. The manager walked in and everyone paid attention. My technician started out with scolding hot water. Oh my, then she adjusted it. She really spent time on my toes, cuticles and skin area around the toes. A little painful but no pain no cute feet It was truly a 60 minute service including 4 different items for my legs and feet. Only negative is that there was gnat's everywhere. It was very annoying. Tech was just working right through it. For a nail salon as nice as this one, they've gotta address that gnat problem. That's unsanitary.

I came to this salon to get my eyebrows waxed and loved the results so I continued to go for at least 3 visits then one day I decided to get a face wax and the experience was horrible. The technician took skin off of my face and did not take all the hair off! I was mortified the next day I woke up with burns on both of my cheeks. It stung at first but i thought it was just the wax but after seeing the burns I was highly upset. I will never go back here again and I would not recommend anyone get their services either!

I needed a full set for my honeymoon and pedi as well. It took 4 hours to complete. First, my usual nail tech was booked so I couldn't schedule with her. I was given the first available for pedi and a different one for the full set. No issue whatsoever for the pedicure. But the full set was a nightmare. I asked for a specific look which was to use my real nails and to use a nail inspo photo I provided for the design. The nail tech did not listen at all and immediately told me that she couldn't do it without nail tips and that it wouldn't look good. So I agreed to the nail tips. This took a little over 3 hours. When she began rushing, she would drill my cuticles. Every time I would tell her to stop, she would either move on to the next or use her sharp nail to push my already bleeding cuticle back. I ended up telling her to stop and find another way to sand my nail down because at this point, I had 5 cuticles that were bleeding. I also had an event to attend so I did not have time to have someone else redo them. These are by far the worse nails I've ever had done. I'm still in a state of shock at how terrible my cuticles look, the spaces in between my nail bed and the added tips, and the lack of attention to detail on the design. I'll end up spending more money fixing them at my honeymoon destination. I will find out her name and update the review. My usual nail tech is Kelly and she's 5 stars. Unfortunately, this particular experience deserves 1 star, if that. I will never recommend this place UNLESS you see Kelly.

my nails look ok but i'm in PAIN. i was immediately cut 3 times with both the hand file and electric file so the whole time my fingers were burning. as soon as i showed her the picture of what i wanted (a thick red french tip) her eyes widened and she shook her head. the woman next to her had to give her direction on color and thickness among other things. if it wasn't possible to do, why not just say no. while applying the acrylic powder, i could tell it was way too thin and i told her they would just break immediately. she repeatedly asked if they were good during the process and when i asked for it thicker and she basically said no and that they're better this way because it's "more natural." after like 2 hours, in the time it took my friend to get both her mani and pedi done, i was finished. the french tips turned out looking ok in the end, but i paid $97 dollars to be roughhoused and cut open for some mediocre looking nails. and i still tipped because that's just how i am. then my nail broke 2 hours later and my fingers STING so bad i can't sleep. next morning 2 more nails broke. i hate leaving bad reviews but i have to be honest. i will be going back in hopes that they will soak them off & give me a refund. read more

I've been here a few times, and have watched the service steadily get worse and worse. The last time I came, which will be the last time, I watched the tech reuse single use utensils on someone else. This place is very unhygienic, and I've already notified the health department of their practices. In addition to this, the quality of their products is just poor. I got a pedicure, and less than a week later it had alreadg chipped very badly. I have watched the techs take a dremmel to gel polish to remove it, instead of soaking it off like you're supposed to do. They also slip in hidden charges, like charging $5 extra to buff your nails if you don't get polish (reusing a single use buffer, I might add). I would not recommend this place for many reasons. Very dirty, broken massage chairs, unhygienic, sneaky charges. They don't deserve your business! read more

The tech I had seemed high... she tried to hurt me because I didn't like how she shaped my acrylic nails... When I tried to ask her to redo it, (Mind you she still tried to charge me for that ugly shape she gave me which looked like the ugliest and sharpest shark tooth ever) Then when someone else told her to redo it, she grabbed my hand and literally cut the nail off and also tried to take my finger aswell because she was mad at me! !! After that they had another tech do my nails.. she was also mad at me because she did my nails and the whole time she was completely quiet.. like really???? Why would you do that to someone when they still have to pay full price and still give a tip even thou they have me really sad service??? I was honestly very hurt because I did nothing to these women.. I just wanted to get my nails done and they just treated me like a nobody!! read more

Would give 0 stars. Made an appointment as soon as the salon was opened and arrived before the employees for only my husband and I to be seated after other customers arrived well after us. Not only that, they do not follow temperature check guidelines unless you are a person with a darker complexion. Customer service is obviously selective. Would not recommend! read more

Came here to remove acrylic nails for my daughter. Asked first if they soak in acetone and was assured they do. This did NOT happen. Careful and healthy removal should always include an acetone soak and take 20-30 minutes. She did NO acetone soak and instead just used the filing machine to thin the nail down and pried it off. Done in about 8 minutes. Then refused to take a credit card. read more

2.5 I get it that your employees try to upsell to make sales but try not to be too pushy! Good thing it turned out well or this review would be headed in a different direction. I usually don't even wear fake nails because it gets in the way of work but every now and then it's nice to get em done. I usually get them done right before my yearly out of state trip. I usually get regular polish on a full acrylic set. Reason 1- I don't keep them on long. I can't work with them. Reason 2- it's cheaper, especially since I remove them after a month or so. Today I was talked into trying the gel polish. About $15 more than the regular polish ($25 regular and $40 gel) and refill is almost the same price as a new set ($35)! The only difference is that the gel dries much faster so it's more convenient and leaves you less chances of damaging them after you just had them done!! More convenient.... I'm a fan!! I guess I will just have to leave them on a little longer now!!! read more

Worst nails ever! Customer beware... Paid good money for gel paint mani and pedi because I was leaving on a business trip. Normally my gel mani lasts 3 weeks if not 4 weeks. I had my nails done last Tuesday (August 11th) and 3 nails since then have had the paint peel up and break off. (See my photos) I am very upset and frustrated, because now I have to take time out of my trip to sit in a nail salon to fix these nails because my nails are not in regulation for work. Not to mention I am out of town so I had to paid for a another nail salon to fix. So I am out even money! read more

Literally just went in for a simple manicure. Had to tell the tech to paint my whole nail. The painting was sloppy and uneven so I just asked her to remove the whole thing. I only went because I had a gift certificate. I told the tech to keep $8 left in change but I wasn't happy with it and just wanted to leave. She offered to redo them but at that point I just didn't think it was going to be worth my time. The tech who painted my daughters nails did a good job but I'm not compelled to go back. It was a waste of my time and money. read more

Went to this place and they handed me a card and asked me which pedicure I wanted. I pointed to the basic for $38 and said I want basic for both me and my daughter. The nail tech asked if I wanted gel. I said NO. At the end when I got the bill for $178 for two pedicures and a manicure. They had added gel. I told them no! They tried to tell me I said I wanted gel. They then took off my daughter's polish on both her hands and feet and repainted both. Horrible customer service. By the time my daughter got home her polish was already off. If you go there, pay upfront! read more

Who doesn't like getting pampered? I know I do! I've visited this location for two services: nail take off and eyebrow wax. My most recent experience, I walked in and requested my full set be taken off followed by a fresh gel manicure. I didn't get my technician's name but she was amazing. Typically when I see the tech's take out a single fake nail to pry the set off, I instantly cringe as we all know it can get pretty painful. This time, it didn't hurt one bit...quick and painless. WIN-WIN. I opted for a nude manicure and I couldn't be happier. As for the eyebrow wax, I have no complaints. The time I did walk in for this service, one of the ladies took me right away. She ensured my concerns were addressed prior to beginning. My eyebrows weren't puffy and she didn't press to add any other wax service either. Needless to say, if I'm in the area and I want to kill some time, I'll drop in because I know I won't leave disappointed. read more

Yesterday, the 2nd. My friend and I made an appointment for 1 pm for pedicures, and our nails, a full set for one and fill for the other. Now, she comes here all the time, her usually lady Mimi was off but we booked anyways. We arrived at 12:47, was sat in 2 pedicure chairs by 12:53, the water for one was scorching hot, they had to adjust the temperature but truly it was no problem. The problem started when we didn't get helped or addressed until 1:45. They sat us down and never said an absolute word to us. Granted they were busy, but the simple acknowledgment. "hey, we know you have a 1pm appt but we're short staffed so so it will be an extra 45 mins before we can start your pedicure" OR ANYTHING. Now, they have beautiful colors and exceptional quality products, but even when we got our pedicures 50 mins later, the 2 females were not very friendly. I asked a question about running late and she ignored me. The older lady, may have been the owner did my friends toes, well she got paint all on her skin and did t even use the brush and nail remover to take the color off LIKE EVERY OTHER PLACE. I was so baffled. We finish our 1pm pedicure appt at 2:52 and then they stated it would be another 30-45 min wait to start our nails, like holy shit. It was a No. We went to pay at this point we are starving and I asked the older gentleman if they had a inconvience discount or anything and he, a older blond woman and then the opener ALL GAVE ME ATTITUDE. Arguing with me the guy was. First of all, POOR customer service the whole time, they couldn't even apologize or admit they did it wrong on their end, they told me "Oh you should've said something" which we did and got ignored. The lady kept talking about short staff which again, understandable but why not let ALL the customers know. They didn't only do this to us it was everyone in there. Then they couldn't even give me an answer on a basic ass discount they were telling me to just not pay. Which I didn't wanna do. I didn't want a free pedicure, 10% off or something would've been feasible. I started getting emotionally upset and wanted to pay and leave and argued with the guy to ring me up for another 5 mins. It was horrible and I'm NEVER going back to their over priced shitty serviced salon. read more

I was there two weeks ago and the manicurist cut my nail wrong and I still can't wear shoes. And he also did a poor job on the paint of my nails. But the worst thing was hurting my finger. I don't recommend it at all. And all of them are not really nice. read more

I've always loved their work but I wish they'd step up their cleanliness/sterilization of tools before using them on one customer after another. The nail file, the cuticle scissors, everything should be sterilized between customers. Waxing sticks should never be double dipped. Even tweezers should be sterilized between customers. Increase the prices if needed to cover the cost but explain that it covers the cost of sterilization and nail fungus will not be a concern. read more

Love my natural gel fill mani! I also got my toes done with the deluxe Pedicure and she was so sweet and did an excellent job! I will be back! Salon was very busy but I didn't mind the wait. It was clean and the staff was friendly! My toes are feeling so much better after, I highly recommend the deluxe with callous removal! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. First off, I'm a nail technician and the only reason I go to other salons is to relax and get a pedi with my husband on one of our days off together. I would never criticize another technician on their techniques in the moment........ With that being said, this was by far the absolute WORST pedicure both my husband and I have ever had (and we get them every other week). I know we live in Hawaii, but I feel like due to the close proximity to the NEX and Pearl Harbor they take advantage of it and charge more all while doing a half ass job. They cut my husband, didn't use cuticle softener prior to pushing and cutting his cuticles, and even though we paid $7 for callus remover with the deluxe pedicure ($50 for him, and $70 for me (gel polish was $20)) they didn't even use it! I haven't heard great things about this salon (even from my clients at my shop) but I decided to go on a whim and just try it and $126 later it was a waste of time and money. So take my word, and apparently others on here and just try another salon, it can't possibly be worse than this place! If you're looking to relax with a pedi at this place, DON'T....save your money and use it on a nice bottle of wine instead at least you won't be disappointed. read more

If I could give negative reviews... This place is dirty, shelves are dusty, employees are rude. I was short on time and needed a quick pedi...got a sneer and chit chat between staff in Vietnamese when I declined the medium and deluxe pedi. Paid and left a 15% tip, didn't get a thank you let alone eye contact or a farewell. NEVER AGAIN. Shame on me for being desperate and short on time. Screw convenience. read more

Lots of negative reviews about Nail Tek but Ive been here 3 times for a pedi and have never had an issue. They do try to up sale your session with extras but so does every place that offers some sort of service. Never hurts to give this place a try and form your own opinion. read more

So I decided I wanted a polish change after picking a horrible purple shade. Never again. Since this place is so nearby, I thought I'd give it a try. First thing I walked in, a women giving a pedicure greeted me. No one was working the front desk. There was only a sign-in sheet. After moments of waiting, I asked to go look at the nail polish rack as it is in the back of the room. As I walked by, I received an ugly look from one of the workers doing someone else's nails. I was definitely taken back by it and didn't understand why she would act such a way. I requested Kelli to do my nail polish change, but seemed to be busy with another customer. That was understandable as I was a walk-in client. After waiting awhile, I just asked to be seen by any worker who is available. I didn't get the name of my nail person but she did a good job at re-polishing my nails. The total came out to about $7.36, not including tip. Overall, that was my very first visit there and I am not too sure if I liked their atmosphere. I'll definitely check out a different nail salon next time. But I am not in need of something quick, like a polish change, I'll prolly stop in every once in awhile. read more

I have been going to Van for probably a year and leave happy every time. Only with her my natural nails actually grow out long enough to do coffin shape and stileto. I choose crazy designs from Instagram and she never fails to impress. I get compliments on my nails, people always notice the impressive artwork. The place has great parking too. Done giving these people chance to mess up. This last time my nails were filed all the way down and the filing isn't even even. Ripples and bubbles in my shellac and poor paint job. I always just get shellac manicures (4) and had a pedicure once. Random rude comments made. Can't even hold small talk. They were adding their own tips to the total up until recently without me asking them to. Pretty sure she inflated the price a couple times especially after the piss poor pedicure when I do a better job at home but I wasn't going to argue and just wanted to leave. On the lookout for another place that actually cares for clients and wants them to return happy. read more

I came here for a full set and pedi. The guy doing my nails was not very talkative but seemed nice. When he was filing my nails he was a little rough. He cut me several times with the file and drill. I was then escorted to the back to get my feet done by another woman. This woman was pushy and spoke very unclear trying to upsell. In fact she added a service and charged me for eyebrow wax I did not agree to. When I noticed my receipt and told her I did not want my eyebrows done she scoffed, said I was hairy and she'd do a good job. By this time my nails had dried and I did not like the color. I asked if I could get another color. I can tell she was upset because my new color was gel. The employees just talk to each other and do not seem very friendly. I will not be retuning here because of the customer service and quality of work. read more

This place is not the same as it used to be. I have no complaints with the service and courtesy of the ladies . I do believe the issue is with management. The place is never cool , which I suspect is due to utility austerity and second of all, I could never get the light or neutral color gel I want because it's never available. I also suspect this is due to management's unwillingness to purchase a variety of colors . It is a shame that this is the case because most of your clients are military and have a demand for the lighter or neutral shades. This is probably why there are hardly Any clients whenever I come here, and I won't be surprised if this place ends up going bankrupt or changing management. It will be too late to gain the client's (including myself's) trust. read more

1st of all she showed me a package for $50... I assumed that included everything... she never told me it was a $50 addition to my pedicure! So $70 for a freaking pedicure. Then while she was doing my pedicure she said, "I'll do ombré" and started doing only my tips the color and the rest glitter?!?! I didn't ask for this... she said,"only $5 more" I said no... I don't like glitter. Then kept pushing me to get waxed. Pushing for flower. Mind u my fingernails look like complete CRAP! The polish is all uneven by my nail beds! So in happy! I will make the drive to my old salon! Such a bad experience! And there's still blue mud on the top of my calves! read more

I should have listened to the reviews. Actually, I should have left once I noticed flies and gnats. Aaactuuuaaally, I should have left once we walked in and no one greeted or cracked a smile. The one star is for the nail tech that did my pedicure; she was pleasant and could understand me. I would have a 0 star for the pedicure itself. It felt half-arse. The same night and my polish is already peeling/cracking. My sister was in a chair a few away from me; I treated her to a pedicure for her birthday and her tech was told to give her the same Deluxe as mine. She didn't get it. I was seated before her and she was finished before I was. My niece sat in the chair beside me. I told her tech to give her the Deluxe. She didn't get it but I was charged for it! I didn't realize until after we left. My nieces tech grumbled in her language to my tech the entire time and scowled the whole time. Even if my niece was given a regular pedicure she didn't get her legs massaged or feet scrubbed. The tech just applied a mud looking thing to her legs and started painting her nails. She didn't even tell my niece she was done but left her there, walked to and sat in another chair and started eating grapes. She still looked upset eating her grapes too. "Angry Grape Eater!!!" I admit I didn't tip her well and she made it known when she took it and chuckled as if saying "that's it?!" I should've plucked it back out of her hand. Make sure you pay for only what you receive. As a matter of fact save your money and go elsewhere. read more

He scheduled an appointment for her in preparation for a performance at her H.S. Last year, she had an excellent experience at your salon, where a male technician took the time to carefully recreate the design she requested based on a reference photo. The results were exactly what she envisioned, including detailed work and added embellishments. Then she went back again a few months later and he did great again. Unfortunately, her experience this time was very different. Upon arrival, there appeared to be confusion regarding her appointment, and the staff asked her friend to provide proof of the booking. While I understand that my daughter and her friend are young, I would expect the same level of professionalism and respect given to all clients. My daughter clearly communicated her desired design and showed a reference photo. The technician assured her that the design could be completed; however, the service felt rushed, and my daughter felt that her requests were not fully considered. It also appeared that the technician may have been double-booked, which may have contributed to the lack of attention to detail. Although my daughter & friend were willing to pay approximately $200 from their hard-earned part-time job savings for quality service, she ultimately paid $190 for a result that did NOT meet her expectations. She left feeling disappointed and upset. If a technician agrees to complete a design as shown, the service should be delivered accordingly. Using terms of endearment "while rushing through the work instead of providing the agreed-upon quality is different. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to ensure a more consistent and attentive experience for all clients, especially young adolescents who are learning to invest in services of value with their own hard-earned money.

This has made me concerned about cleanliness and sanitation practices. While I can't say exactly what caused it, I do know that my toe is now infected, and it's been a very uncomfortable experience.

I was pleased with my service experience and give it a 4.5/5 rating. Once I walked into the shop for Nail Tek, I was immediately greeted with a friendly, "Hi sir, welcome to Nail Tek." I then proceeded to explain I wanted to get a pedicure and I was immediately walked over to Matta, the nail technician. I did not have to wait at all for the receptionist (Ryan) to converse with the nail technician. I was simply walked over to her station. While I removed my shoes and socks Matta asked what type of pedicure I would like from callus treatment to nail or paint. I did not ever have a pedicure so I just asked for her to focus on the calluses. I sat in the chair and place my feet into the empty small white tub. The chair was great, because it was a massaging chair. I could change the settings to what I liked as well. It was quite nice. As I sat and enjoyed the massaging chair, the small white tub of water filled with hot water. The water was hot and bubbling, but it was comfortable on my feet. Matta explained that the have to let the feet soak in the water to get the calluses soft for removal. While my feet soaked, they were massaged and scrubbed with some sort of loofah. My feet soaked for about 10 minutes. Matta then applied a cream to my feet that she said would help remove the calluses. She then used the hard white tool that was used to trim my calluses. It looked like a bar of soap and had a texture, almost like a sander. It didn't hurt, but actually tickled at times because of the scrubbing motion. After removing all of the calluses, Matta trimmed my nails and insisted on adding a clear coat of nail polish that she said looks good on guys feet and isn't overly noticeable. She put lime green dividers in between my toes and gently applied the clear coat of nail polish. After, we let it dry, my feet and toenails did look very good and presentable. It was like my feet got a makeover. I put my shoes back on and then paid at the front. Because it was my first time going to Nail Tek, I got a discount and only had to pay about $17. In total I was at Nail Tek for about 40 minutes or so. The service was friendly and responsive, as Matta kept a flowing conversation with my ranging from my family and girlfriend, where I am from, where I work and go to school, how long she has lived here and different experiences she has had. There were about 5 or 6 other customers, all women in their late 20's or early 30's. The nail technician stations were pretty simple, but very clean and tidy. This is not a luxury full service type of place, but a good economical place for manicures and pedicures. The only thing the service provider could have done to make my experience better would be to massage my feet in the hot water a little more and to consider have chairs that recline. Also, it would have been nice to have some light music playing in the background for when there were lulls in the conversation between nail technician and customer. read more

This review actually should be no stars but there was one nail tech that was really nice. I'm usually one to read reviews and decide on a business service based on other people's experiences. Shame on me I didn't do it this time. First of all there were tons of flies and gnats. Secondly no one greeted us when we walked in. All of their people had frowns on their faces. Not a very good way to welcome your customers - especially if it's your first visit there. Be careful of their pricing. When I had asked how much it would cost for a child pedi, the nail tech said it was $20 for ages 9 and younger. They charged my 9-year-old niece $30. She was "supposedly" given a deluxe pedi which "supposedly" was the same service I was getting but she received much less. My niece's nail tech just rubbed her legs with some mint-ish mud paste and left her there. No massage, no real pedi. In fact, be very careful of the services you actually receive. The deluxe pedicure is supposed to come with wraps on your feet. But we didn't receive it because they ran out of wraps. But of course they didn't tell us. The nail techs were talking among themselves. Then why in the heck did they offer us that service? Bottom line is we won't go back there anymore and we won't be referring anyone to that shop. I gave this place 2 chances because the location was convenient. It was clean, very clean, I'll give it that. The technicians were in a hurry to get people out the door and it showed in their work. I've been getting acrylics for a while and they are durable for me (no need to pay more for gel). The last two fills I had there were crap. The Polish took FOREVER to dry (probably put on too thick) and hours later I smudged one, badly. The acrylic also chipped very easily. Normal use of my hands and I had broken spots everywhere. I was very disappointed! Also got pedicures there and while they weren't bad per se, they weren't awesome. Barely any massage (even though I paid for the one that included a massage) and just not the soothing experience one desires at a salon. On a side note, the second visit a mom brought in her little girl for a mani and the girl got sick and threw up in the waiting area and the employees did NOTHING. Not even "is she ok?". They all looked away while the mom and other customers cleaned it up. The poor little girl did nothing wrong, nor did her mom, it was embarrassing how they shamed her! read more
