They did not properly clean my acrylics when they filled them in. When I went to my regular manicurist at a different salon and she removed the polish 2 weeks later, 8 out of 10 of my nails had mildew underneath the acrylics. I had to have them removed completely until my real nails grow out, which will probably take several months. If I could give 0 stars I would. Never coming back here again! read more

I have been to this place three-four times before but had stopped going, since I was never truly satisfied with the service -and the cleanliness of the place, mmmh I'm not so happy with that. I had gone for gelish nails (terrible), eyebrow wax (ugh) and pedicure (I'd say... half a** job). Unfortunately, my usual nail technician is on leave and this studio is close to home, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went again last week. For the first time, I had them do a full set of acrylic nails. I needed my 'old' acrylics to be taken off and wanted a new full set with french tips. Without any further ado, the girl started working on taking off the acrylics. I am not kidding you when I tell you that she literally ripped off those nails and it was painful! I told her that she is really hurting me, but all she had to say was, the nails were old and so was the material that was used. Um, first off, no they are not old and even if, your point being? Try another method! Nope. I should have gotten up and leave right there but I guess I'm just too nice for that. Then she slapped on the tips. I told her to take them in a little more, because I wanted the nails short. She heard me, she repeated what I said...and then didn't do it! I told her 'more in', but she just said "Yes, ok" kept going. By the time I saw the result, it was too late. Gosh was I annoyed. Again, I should have left!!!! She put on the powdermix and wasn't even finished with it, she asked how I was paying, cash or credit. I simply hate when they do that!! While she was doing the filing and shaping, she cut me and pushed her fingernails so hard into my skin to separate the overdone acrylics from skin, that again I told her that she was hurting me!!! She didn't even apologize or even care. So she took my card, put on ONE coat of regular nail polish shine coat, put the little fan on it, went off with my card, came back a minute later and wanted me to sign the receipt. I asked, so that's it? Yup. That was it! $36.25. Pissed and in pain. wow. I have NEVER had such a sucky new set of nails! My nails look like shit. No shine whatsoever, uneven surface and different length french tips, glue EVERYWHERE under my nails (she didn't even bother to file that off with that electric file), some skin is stuck to the glue and I have to put Neosporin on my index finger because she cut my skin and blood came out from somewhere between the glue, nail, skin, I can't even tell where the heck it is coming from, the skin is swollen and every touch hurts! I was in that chair for not even 20 minutes for the whole process. I am beyond pissed!! I know, I should have left and my sister told me to get them re-done but I wasn't gonna have her or anyone else in there for that matter touch my nails again. EVER. The staff is never the friendliest. Not necessarily rude, but not nice either. My sister then told me what one of the girls said to her about military wives. I hope she will write a review and tell you in detail, just so much: it wasn't nice. I mean, they are located behind the NEX, so I'm pretty sure they get a lot of military customers! Overall, I really tried the place, tried to liking it, even with the comments about military wives, but after what had happened this week, I am so done. They will not get my business again and I will never recommend them to anyone. I hope my Tech comes back soon, can't wait to have my nails done nicely AND be in pleasant company. read more

Had gel peeling off my overpriced mani and pedi two days after it was put on. Returned twice within 5 days for peeling gel. Woman was so rude to me the second time and accused me of having the nails done for weeks and trying to get them repaired. Whipped out my receipt...six days on the second time I had to go back. Not my favorite place ever. After moving from Pearl city I needed to find a new place for nails and waxing. Cause there is no way I'm going to go back to Pearl city. But anyways I came here to get my Groucho Marx eye brows tamed. The staff here is super rude. They only talk to you when they need to. And the waxing room is not very sanitary. The tech didn't even ask me what I wanted. She basically just gave me a basic eye brow shape. Didn't groom my eye brows or anything. I won't be back here. I read reviews before coming here, and still decided to give them a try (I'm new to the area - and I haven't found my go-to shop). I only got a pedicure (I think it must have been their basic/regular one because I didn't get paraffin or callous removal or anything extra... $39 and some change with tax). I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and was immediately seated. The facility appeared clean. The nail technician wasn't overly customer service oriented, but she definitely wasn't rude... just spent the entire time talking to the nail technician sitting next to her (call me picky, but I prefer undivided attention... makes me feel like you're doing your best work). Not a bad experience, but my search will continue. Side note: some of the other nail technicians looked to be doing a better job than mine, so try this place out - you may get one of the ladies that take pride in the level of service they give. read more

Do not get anything done at this place. The people that work here are extremely rude! I received one of the worst pedicures I have ever gotten! I've been here quite a few times and usually have little to no complaint. Quick service and friendly chatter, however today was a very off day. Popped in for a pedicure since I had two hours to kill and the technician insisted that she would be able to complete a manicure as well. I went ahead and agreed. Both mani and pedi were very rushed and frankly, sloppy. Cuticles were not trimmed neatly, gel polish was applied over cuticles and accumulated under, and when trying to remove the excess, the gel polish started lifting. On top of that, she cut my toe. When I mentioned this, she said, "oh it's okay, I just cut your skin open." Will not be returning or recommending. read more

So far my experience here has been pleasant. My nail technician was nice and so helpful. I ended up doing a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I'm happy with my services thus far BUT they, the workers need to work on focusing more on their clients than "gossiping" amongst each other about other employees (which I'm assuming lol). UN-PRO-FESSIONALLLLLLL!!! I went just to get color change and the tech took 47 minutes just to get the gel off. She was slow, clueless on what to do next, and seemed like she was new. When she was filing my nail to get the gel off, she decided to shape my nail without asking me. I told her that's not what I asked for! She moved on to the next nail and made that shape completely different so I have one coffin shape and one square. I was pissed because these are my real nails I decided to grow out so I could get designs and try something new. When I started telling her things i had a problem with she started talking to the other techs in her native language and laughing. I knew they were talking about me because they all kept staring at me. That's rude as hell!! She was pushy about eyebrow waxing and getting a pedicure, I was not interested but even if I wanted to get it, she took soooooooo long to do one thing, I DID NOT EVEN GET MY NAILS DONE. Fill was suppose to be$16.00 and gel polish $10.00 more. Not sure why I paid $72.00. I asked for simple pedicure and was charged $5.00 more than the asking price. Massage on pedicure was terrible. I was nervous going in because of the negative reviews I've read but it turned out to be a good experience. I was seen right away and the staff seemed nice. Lisa paid close attention to what she was doing and made sure everything was what I wanted. The only thing negative about my experience is that when they handed me the color wheel to pick a color, I failed to realize it was the gel wheel they handed to me instead of just the regular colors. It ended up costing me a little more but over all I am happy with this trip :) read more

Not good. I have never had a pedicure hurt so much or be so uncomfortable. I kept saying it hurt. I had to hold my feet in a position that was not relaxing. Horrible customer service. They're price chart doesn't match what they actually charge you. They charged me $206 for two mani/pedi. They have hidden charges. And when asked for a break down before she charged my card, she ignored me and tried to hurry and charge my card. Once charged I tried to talk to her and understand why she charged me so much she just kept giving my the run around. She literally took my debit card out of my wife's lap without my consent. First off I'm from Jacksonville, Florida so I expected the price to change from what I'm used to. But $50 (including a $5 tip) for a gel manicure? And not a very good one. The tech damaged multiple nails, didn't take off all of the base on my nails, didn't even tell me there was a charge of $10 to have the polish removed on top of the $20 fee to apply it, oh and on top of that he neglected to tell me it cost $16 for a manicure. Back home all of this would have cost me about $35 with tip. Now being that this is Hawaii I knew it was going to be a little more expensive but not $15 more expensive for not so good of a job. I mean my nails were pretty even to begin with but he went and screwed them up. I won't come back for a gel manicure that's for sure. read more

Updated Salon!! I've been going to this salon for a little over a year & it was pretty outdated (broken, ragged massage chairs) but NOW it's like brand new!!! It looks amazing!!! The ladies have always been friendly (drawing smiley faces with lotion) and my nails have always looked fabulous (deluxe pedi & shelac mani) and it lasts about 3 weeks. My friend and I decided to meet at this salon because its located in the center between our houses and it has pretty good prices- but now that it's updated it's an added bonus:) yay!! read more

Decided to give this place a try since I was short on time and desperate to get my three week old gel manicure off. No wait time as a walk-in, but then I figured out why. Immediately the woman starts trying to up-sale me to gel polish. I politely decline several times, I don't have time to come back and get it taken off again. She keeps pushing, even putting the lamp up on the table and picking out a nice 'natural' color for me. I again politely tell her no thank you and she finally gets the message. That is until she starts trying to tell me I need my eyebrows waxed, seriously? After all of this she scratched my nails horribly removing the gel, left the edges rough from filing, painted my nails to my skin (had to add alcohol or something to the polish halfway through), and was doing her end of night receipts and packing up in between coats.
