Our grave marker finally arrived after all this mess (see my previous review) and guess what? They ended up using the WRONG STONE. We specifically paid $150 extra to get Blue Pearl and they ended up using a stone called Blue Silk. Careless, as all our experiences with this company have been. And what's worse is that we had to find out through the cemetery, AFTER it had been delivered. Obviously there is no quality control and no one inspects these stones before they go out, because they would've caught it immediately as the two stone colors are visually very different (blue v. grey).
Furthermore, I had to personally track down the owner (Geralyn), who was working from home. She said that the reason that our case had been handled so poorly was because her mother was sick and she had thus left her business to her staff member Katie, who apparently was new and didn't know how to use their "complicated" drafting system and was unable to proofread drafts before sending them to us, thus resulting in 2-3 rounds of revisions for mistakes like putting a comma in place of a period and words that ran together and typos (see my previous review).
Look, I'm very very sorry about your mother, I truly am. But you run a business selling grave markers. To people whose loved ones have DIED. This is literally the last reminder we have of our father and now every time we see his grave and this stone, it will be tainted with the residue of this terrible experience. So if you're looking for sympathy, I'm afraid you're in the wrong business. The only words out of your mouth should have been sorry, sorry, what can we do to make up for it, and sorry. Why do you feel like you have to give excuses and explain yourself? Also, telling me all this after 6 months of your company putting my family and I through the wringer and only after I called you, is too little too late. There is an element of sincerity that is just lacking, which is quite appalling especially for being in this kind of industry.
Oh, and the reason for the mix-up in the stones? "My guy in the back just picked up the wrong stone." Oops. And of course, because no one checks these things before they get delivered, they never caught it. But it's ok because, in her own words, "this never happens." Well if you have no quality assurance steps in place prior to delivery, then forgive me for being skeptical.
Honestly, if I were not so livid, I would laugh, because there literally has not been one step of this long, loooooong process that has not gone wrong and I pray that you do not make the same mistake as we did. I said it before and I'll say it again - AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!! read more
